Full-Stack Developer

Legacy code, esoteric methods and transitioning systems from on-site into the cloud. I've found that I enjoy updating systems to operate in modern eco-systems. I've streamlined apps that were crashing with just a few users, making them run on cheaper systems. I've helped updated decayed decades of stop-gap coding, moving them onto virtual servers that could be accessed from anywhere. More specifically, my specialization is in quickly learning the foundation of a project, and then porting it to a modern platform. This ranges from old shell scripts, spaghetti PHP, and in-house desktop apps that need to be made into web apps. I have a wide range of experience using Linux and developing for networked systems, so I may not be the best choice if your project is already using a well defined codebase with developers available. If, however, it was built from scratch, or the system is archaic enough that someone is going to need to get their hands dirty, I'd love to take a look and discuss options.
