I was trained by PEC Video (Dean St) product specialists at the time on FAST 601 Silver Studio Non Linear Editor which became Avid Liquid Chrome HD, and at the same time for Post Production Motion Graphics I was trained on Autodesk 3D Studio Max and Eyeon Digital Fusion. Those days we mastered our edits onto Betacam SP and SX, and sometimes DVCAM, and eventually files as MPEG2 Transport Stream or IBP frame. We used a Snell and Wilcox Alchemist and Kudos to convert NTSC from US clients to PAL for Broadcast, employing digital audio delay. Broadcast playout at CAST was Betacam SP. Before those times I started out as a young man in traditional print and graphic design at image setting bureaus, camera down film to litho plate, drum scanning and sending files to ANSI based bulletin boards for output to CMYK on Heidelberg Speedmaster presses.
