A keen eye for grammar, order, and clarity, along with a good sense of story, enables me to communicate precisely or correct or improve upon your written work. A native English speaker with a breadth of aptitudes, including writing and poetry, growing up, I majored in engineering at the University of Tennessee and enjoyed a career in computer programming with IBM before taking time away to raise my family. During my ten-year programming career I gained experience in writing user and operations materials, technical papers, and communications. During my children's growing-up years I did a variety of kinds of creative writing just for fun. Between my school and parenting years I won four different creative writing contests and was published in my college literary magazine. After hanging out my shingle with Upwork I began to do a considerable volume of children's writing, technical editing, and adult nonfiction books. In addition, for Upwork clients I've written poetry, blog posts, poetry in advertising jingles, song lyrics, and items of ESL and ELA curricula. In addition, I've provided ongoing editing for non-native English writers. The following is a guide for fixed rates, when necessary. * Writing one children's story + one revision + one final edit 100 - 500 words: $125 (To produce a well-crafted story in few words takes much time.) 500 - 1000 words: $200 every additional 500 words - +$75 If we are contracting for multiple stories, some discount may be arranged. * Other writing Ten cents or more per word, depending on the project. Will I need to do research? Do I need to write from someone else's work, organizing and reworking it, etc.? What is expected in the way of revision/final editing? * Editing Proofing or Light copy editing: $15 per page Heavy copyediting / substantive editing: $25 per page Developmental editing: $10 per page

***Owner of Ink Worthy Books, a full-service editorial and publication company providing cover-to-cover services and support to self-publishing authors of soulful nonfiction.*** This is my passion, my heart’s work, and what makes me a happy camper. It is not merely my “job.” With more than thirteen years of writing, editing, and publishing experience, I have built my business around helping self-motivated writers take their ideas all the way to publication and beyond. At Ink Worthy Books, we believe that every book has the power to change the world. As a trained nonfiction book coach and developmental editor, I lead a group of skilled professionals who specialize in book editing, design, and marketing. This means that we can support an author’s entire project without risking quality due to the overworked eyeballs of one professional. This approach to self-publishing support saves you hours of searching for skilled pros in the world of one-and-done freelance giggers and alleviates the stress of managing all the details which go into publishing a book. In addition to an array of community and coaching support options, IWB’s hands-on services fall into five categories: Evaluate - Not certain what your story needs? We offer (free!) creative consult calls along with manuscript reviews to help you determine the best next step. This process saves writers both time and money because they leave with a clear idea of how to move their project forward and without having to guess. Edit - We offer three types of editing, depending on the project’s need: developmental editing, line editing, and copy editing. Because these terms are sometimes used inconsistently in the industry, we will discuss your book’s needs in detail to ensure you are confident in what type of editing support you will be receiving. Design - Our design team creates the high quality cover and interior files for all written formats (ebook, soft cover, and hardcover), all to the specification of the particular platform the writer is publishing on. This process also includes a final proofread, which ensures your book shines prior to publishing. Publication Prep - The Ink Worthy Books team helps self-publishing authors manage ALL the loose ends that need attention to prepare to publish their book: writing your author bio, crafting the back cover description and Amazon description, pricing and ISBN support, author website creation, optimization of the book’s Amazon profile, and much more! Rest assured, we can help with every step of the way! Marketing - We support writers in creating a marketing and promotion plan and materials to promote their book both leading up to and following publication. If you are looking for a line or copy edit of your manuscript draft, please see my specialized profiles for more details on how I can help! I look forward to connecting with you soon! Don't let my location fool you. I'm an American expat living a wonderful life in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, but my language skills are firmly routed in American English. I find writing and editing on my laptop at a private deserted beach the perfect environment for my creativity and concentration. My freelance work focuses primarily on two areas: (1) complete editing and formatting services for both fiction and non-fiction books and (2) writing fiction and non-fiction, with a particular interest in ghostwriting autobiographies. As an editor, I love the process of starting with a critical read of a book and capturing its developmental needs and then moving on to the more technical side of the structure, grammar, and extensive proofreading. Finally, as with any jewel that has been cut, I do a final polish to make it perfect. I have clients all over the world, from Sweden, Italy, Japan, the UK, Australia, and, yes, the United States. I edit and write in American, British, and Australian English and totally understand the differences in grammar, usage, and slang. I also am skilled at working with authors whose native language is NOT English and have translated their work but need additional editing to make it sound more natural. Although I may be a relative “newbie” to Upwork, I have over 15 years of experience as a professional writer, editor & proofreader. I promise you complete accuracy, timely delivery, and a critical editing eye. My writing partners find my honesty and communication skills key to a great collaboration. My current and recent writing and editing projects include a Netflix Biopic about a notorious London entrepreneur, a political satire novel, a murder mystery novel, several articles for CNN and USA Today, two novels in the fantasy genre, an economic dissertation, a Tolkien type fantasy by a Swedish author. With over fifteen years in the industry, my clientele often commend my unwavering honesty and effective communication. My portfolio? It's as diverse as a CEO's perspective on design, a wanderlust-filled memoir of Latin America, to sci-fi adventures in distant galaxies. The stories I cherish the most? Ghostwriting for a U.S. Senator, recounting the life of a WWII refugee turned successful entrepreneur, and weaving a transformative self-help manuscript on being your best self. "My only regret in having James ghostwrite my biography is that I couldn't give him credit for it -- it has been a huge success for me"... Richard P. "As my editor, he took my fledgling novel and polished it into a diamond now in my very happy publisher's hands." ... Tony G. Contact me today. The best way to start any writing project is for me to have the chance to chat with you before we even begin. I would love an opportunity to show you how I can meet and surpass the needs of this opportunity.

Want to know if I'm THE Ghostwriter for your memoir? Grab a free CONSULTATION! Welcome🙂 I'm passionate about telling stories, and the next unforgettable story I'm going to help tell is yours. When I ghost-write your memoir, there are two things I hope to help you accomplish; a bestseller and a legacy. The latter is a given because together, we'll write a book as unique as your story. The former is completely dependent on your objective. Either way, your memoir journey with me will be a professional and honest experience. But why write a memoir in the first place? You see, time is fleeting, memories can become tainted, skewed, and forgotten, accomplishments can be buried or stolen, and whole legacies can be erased unless you write them down. Unless you encase them in words and pass them down through stories; read and retold by people who are grateful to hold a version of you that resonates, inspires, teaches, or entertains. More than writing to thrill and excite my readers. I’ve realized that our stories aren’t just stories, they are legacies, a version of us that will live on long after we are gone. When you are writing a legacy, you don’t just want anyone to write it because it’s a forever thing. You want a writer who will sit with you, learn your voice, and write a story that is authentically YOU. You want a writer who will understand that this is a legacy you are leaving, one that tells your kids, their kids, and every stranger who picks it up and connects with it, exactly who you are. You want a writer who can make your story unforgettable for all the right reasons. I am that writer and I cannot wait to work with you. My specialty is heart-wrenching and inspiring memoirs. Memoirs that explore the human condition. That teaches grace, humility, resilience, and love. That yearns to connect with the reader and is unafraid, to tell the truth. What is your story? I am eager to hear it and even more eager to write it. Reach out, together we will write an unforgettable story and leave an authentic legacy. Complimentary Services: 1. All The Edits! - I'll hand you a book that's been professionally edited and proofed. If you are self-publishing, you can go straight to publishing. And, if you are traditional publishing, you'll have a clean manuscript to query agents. 2. Queries & Blurbs: If you are traditional publishing, I'll help you write two query letters to any two agents of your choice. And if you are self-publishing, you'll have the option of two blurbs for the cover of your memoir. Ready? Send me a message. Together, we will write an unforgettable book and leave a lasting legacy.

As a ghostwriter and book editor who specializes in memoirs, nonfiction, & true crime, my strength lies in converting our conversations into compelling prose, bringing attention to detail and organization to the writing process, and staying loyal to your vision of the book. I have experience working with clients who draw from sources as varied as federal and state archives, databases, legal memorandums, transcripts of depositions, audio recordings, education and medical records, and previously published writing as building blocks for a fruitful collaboration. My clients have provided me with opportunities to write on a wide range of topics including the criminal justice system, libel, gun violence, war, poverty, addiction, depression, cancer, PTSD and complex trauma, sexual abuse, sexual assault, childhood neglect, special needs, racism, bereavement, democracy and the electoral college, immigration, and the plight of refugees. I am willing to sign a non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement. I have seasoned experience writing and editing the hero's journey and structuring complex narratives spanning different cultures and countries thanks to the international reach of my clients. Half of my clients ask me to assist them with faith-based stories. On my manuscript wish list is the desire to write and edit manuscripts about education reform, artificial intelligence, the Equal Protection Clause in the Fourteenth Amendment, the 1978 Supreme Court decision in Regents of the University of California v. Bakke, reparations as a crucial part of reconciliation work, gun control, the right to bear arms, constitutional rights, privacy laws, infertility, aging, adoption, love & marriage, polyamory, sexual orientation, sex work & prostitution, and being young and inarguably non-binary in a non-affirming home environment. I am a native English speaker born and raised on the East Coast. I have my Master of Arts degree in journalism from New York University, where I studied television writing and reporting with Emmy award-winning faculty. I interned at the PBS station WNET in New York City for a Peabody award-winning arts program. Then, I pursued two years of work experience in television news at the ABC network affiliates KVUE in Austin and WMAR in Baltimore, where I worked as a video editor for reporters and photojournalists. On Upwork, I achieved my top-rated “plus” badge, representing freelancers who are in the top 3% of the talent pool. This merit badge also attests to my proven success working on longer contracts. Ghostwriting and editing memoirs, nonfiction, & true crime, is incredibly fulfilling work, and it is my privilege to collaborate closely with my clients with the mission of completing your manuscript in preparation for publication. Thank you for your consideration.

I want to help you complete your writing project. Whether that's a final edit or writing a whole book from scratch, I have the experience and skills to solve the problems you're facing. These are the reasons why I feel I can support you: 1. Versatility - I've written fiction (historical, thrillers, crime, alternative history, teenage crime and short stories) and non-fiction (memoirs, advice, humour and business topics). I can adapt to almost every style of writing. 2. Research - with a degree in history and a lifelong love of the subject, research is a joy. I can build the story or the body of information that you need, quickly and efficiently. 3. Skills - I've written over a dozen books and published nine of them. I've sent my books off to editing and I've edited other people's. I've made mistakes and seen the mistakes of others. I've learnt that having the ability to restructure a story or a piece of non-fiction is essential. That's the way you make the biggest impact with the reader. 4. Dependability - I might write about characters who let the side down but I strive very hard not ever to do that myself. It's about organisation and it's about work ethic. I won't let you down short of a major disaster. 5. Communication and Responsiveness- both these are vital to a successful project. I won't get it dead right first time but I will listen and turn the work around. The ability to listen is one of the key things I offer in presenting my stall. I hope you will use me for your next project because I want to help you with it.

My areas of expertise are line editing, copy editing, and proofreading. I do the copy editing and the final read for the New York Times best-selling author Dianna Love and many other authors. I have been working for Dianna for over fourteen years. She writes romance/fantasy fiction, crime thrillers, and young adult fantasy fiction. I do the copy editing, finding 95% of the mistakes. Then a couple of others proofread it, and I come in and do the final read and ensure it is 100% clean and error-free. I do all the steps for the other authors I work with. In addition to copy editing and proofreading, I am also an excellent writer. I once helped a first-time author who had a great story but literally needed every sentence rewritten. That was one extreme. All the authors I have worked with have published their work. I have been fortunate to develop a fantastic rapport with every author I have ever worked with. Great communication is very important. I have a sharp eye for detail and work very quickly. I am very familiar with The Chicago Manual of Style and APA Style. If you want a flat rate, I receive between $.025 and $.045 per word. This platform seems to pay by the hour. My normal hourly rate is between $35 and $50. This is my process. I do the first read (copy editing and line editing) using the tracking feature on Microsoft Word and find 95% of the mistakes. I will send it to you to accept/reject the edits and respond to the comments. You don’t have to accept every edit. It is more important that you reject the edits that you DON’T want and respond to the comments/questions. Then, you will return it to me for a second read (proofreading). I will begin with a clean copy and read it again. We will continue this process (usually only two reads are required) until your document is 100% clean and error-free. The time to complete the project is based on how many words are in the document and how quickly you return the first read to me. I have done copy editing and proofreading for over eighteen novels by the New York Times best-selling author Dianna Love. Some of the other books that I have worked on include: • 70 50 10: The Journey to an Entrepreneurial Legacy by Mike Russell and Visionary Writing (Amazon) • Black Diamond: The Fourth Missing Bullet by B. Frank Hall (Amazon) • Can God Use Me? by Kristine Kimmel (soon to be on Amazon) • Courage for America by Jackie Arnold (Amazon) • Mulberry Creek by Harry Bach (Amazon) • Five Indelible Men by S. Z. Mustafa (Amazon) • Ikhla’s Butterfly by S. Z. Mustafa (Amazon) • Ikhla’s Butterfly by S. Z. Mustafa (Amazon) • Money Laundering and Compliance in Football by Ibrahim ElOraby (Amazon) • Happy Monday: Designing Your Dream Career by Nathan Stuck and Visionary Writing (Amazon) • The Best Adventure Ever by Mathew Jensen (Amazon) • Practice Pathfinder Blueprint: 12 Incredibly Easy Steps to Building Your Dream Dental Practice by Mathew Jensen (Amazon) • Lifemap for Teens by Mathew Jensen (Amazon) • Original Human Beings by Dr. Tim White (just completed, not yet published) • A Café in Paris by Glenn Ritt (Amazon) • The Hypocrisy of the Church by James E. Allen • Sun Tzu’s Art of War in The Battlefield of Project Management by Puneet Kuthiala • Three books published by Castle Vale Publishers Ltd. -Stop Overthinking It -Sky Soldiers -The Great UN Reset • Twenty Ruthless Romance novels I am a natural-born proofreader. Please send me a few pages of your work as a sample so you can see what I can do.

When it comes to editing, I generally think of authors as supplying the muscle and I, on the flip side, ensure the connective tissue is in place. A book is like a functioning body--everything has to work together to truly come alive! A solid editor is absolutely invaluable to the writing and publishing grind. They identify where a text needs revision and what parts are working harmoniously. Thinking an in-house publishing editor, or online editing tool, is enough to catch any mistakes in a book is a mistake in itself. Hiring an independent editor ensures that the quality of your book will be rock solid before it hits the physical or digital bookshelves of the world. My work over the years has comprised editing and formatting: -Novel-length books (fiction & non-fiction) -Essays, poems, novellas, and short stories -Training/ lesson plans for private and government organizations ...as well as doing beta reads for authors and the film industry. Guiding new or experienced writers to truly discover their voice and flesh out their stories is an absolute joy. Everybody has an interesting story to bring to the table--they sometimes just need help to polish and piece it together. My background in writing and editing, plus my experience as a frontline worker, means I bring a unique perspective to the table. Whether you are looking to clean-up stilted dialogue or ensure the accuracy of scientific details or just figure out where to begin, I've got you covered!

My love for Romance Writing is far beyond what I thought it would be. Permit me tell you a little bit about what I do... I love to take on new challenges, and when I started writing 7 years ago, I never thought romance writing would be my greatest strength. For a certain, this is where my passion lies. I love it because this is where I can create stories with my imagination. I am well versed in writing hot, sweet, sensual, and steamy Contemporary Romance, Clean Contemporary Romance stories, with different tropes and themes. This is where my creativity sparks with excitement especially when writing the following tropes; -Billionaire. -Secret Romance. -Friends to Lovers. -Enemies to lovers. -Happily ever after. -Office Romance. -Forced proximity. -Protector -Reverse Harem. -Neighbors next door. I have a way to capture my readers with my fast paced, and interesting stories. With characters and plots that the audience can relate to. Furthermore, I understand what readers want and throw them directly into the action of the story. My imagination is vast, there is no doubt about that. When I start a new story I just take my notebook and write till I develop a great story line chapter-by-chapter that you'll feel compelled to relate with. Apart from Romance writing, I can develop self-help books, and write articles as well, which is my second love. I assure you that I can deliver on time with excellent results. I have a remarkable turnaround and I can guarantee that my work for you will be meticulous and well delivered. I can't wait to work for you. Regards. Temitope.
