Hi! My name is Naman and my team specializes in LED design as well as Embedded systems development We are a team of 4 engineering enthusiasts. In our most recent projects, I worked on building a welding sensor to monitor the quality of the weld and use AWS IoT to capture as well as process all the data. The sensors pick up data describing the state of the concrete including temperature, voltage, current, angle, etc., and calculate the quality of the weld based on calibrated values. The system then uses Bluetooth to send data to a gateway which then sends messages via cellular data in JSON format using the MQTT communication protocol. Completed within 3 months with outstanding feedback. We have 5+ years of experience in PCB design and layout, firmware programming, and rapid prototyping. Here is a non-exhaustive list of software skills and chipset familiarity: - PCB layout and schematic capture with Altium, KiCAD, etc., with multilayer, high-speed embedded systems - Experience with low-cost MCU/single-board prototyping platforms: Arduino, Beaglebone, Raspberry Pi, NanoPi, etc. - ARM: ATSAM, STM32, PIC32, MSP, NXP - Digital interfaces and wireless transmission: UART, I2C, SPI, BLE, BT, GSM/GPRS/GPS, xBee, ZigBee (particular experience with BLE HM10, HC05, ESP32, DA14508, nRF52832, 52840, BlueNRG) I also have familiarity with product design engineering. Moto: Learning is a process, and finding a solution is a goal. Engineering is a way of life.

Interests: I have a passion for developing products and learning about the customer use case as we progress through the creative process. Top Skills: As a product development expert, I quickly learn about new use cases and I am able find viable solutions to meet the business objectives. With my expertise in hardware and cloud based application, my skills are ideally suited for IoT application development. Using my business skills, I am able to effectively manage time, budgets, and keep development on track with business objectives. • Product Development • Project Management • IoT Platform Solutions • IoT Hardware Solutions My Process: I am an entrepreneur with a strong understanding of the business behind taking a concept and seeing it through to a viable revenue generating solution. 30+ years of product development experience has given me a streamlined process: 1. Evaluate the use case, 2. Make a plan, 3. Test a prototype or minimal viable product (MVP), 4. Scale up, 5. Manage the life cycle of the product/solution. Platform and Application Development: I have a team of software and firmware developers who program all the applications for the hardware I develop. We have developed several cloud-based platforms together including a cloud platform for sensor data logging and alarm call-outs. This is a very flexible and scalable platform working with devices connected over cellular, WiFi, or ethernet using a proprietary light weight data communication solution or with MQTT. If you have a smaller project budget but still need an IoT cloud platform solution, we can build custom dashboards on our platform which will save a lot of time and money so you don’t need to develop or manage a complete platform yourself. Hardware Development Experience: I have proficient hardware expertise in circuit design, prototyping, and production – all aspects from concept to high volume production where I have exercised design for manufacturability on production lines producing 50,000 circuit boards per year as well as low volume proof of concept production lines. I have operated fully automated assembly lines including pick and place systems, reflow ovens, wave soldering etc. with certifications in PCB defect analysis, and micro-sectioning. Working on the production line and managing the production line staff has given me a unique insight into product development and hardware design for manufacturability. Some technologies I use: • Cellular Wireless: Multitech, Simcom, Ublox, Telit etc I have used every generation from CDPD up to 5G including the Cat-M1. • Zigbee, 802.15.4, Xbee, LoRa, WiFi • Low power electronics with PIC microcontroller – I am a Microchip design partner. • 18bit analog to digital converter • 1MHz analog to digital converters • Freescale iMx6, ARM systems with embedded linux • ESP32, STM32 Cortex M series, SMT32 Dual A7 and M4 cores, nrF52, PIC • Solar power for -40C operating temperatures • High power controls • nrf9160 Work Experience Describing a Few Featured Projects: • Vehicle location systems: developed 12 different applications connecting various types of sensors to meet the customer requirements for their unique tracking system. • Underwater ROV design and manufacturing included mechanical fabrication, machining, and embedded systems in a high power extremely hash and rugged environment. • Perforation gun: Extreme hazardous environment electronics were designed to measure the temperature, pressure and gamma radiation of the first 100mS of the charge detonation. The hardware was designed for a single use because of the extreme force of the explosion being measured but the hardware was designed so well it survived and was used in multiple tests. • Mining explosives production: Designed a complete control system and electronics to custom manufacture 12 different mixtures of explosives for strip mining which allowed for custom ordered explosives in the strip mine. • Down hole oil well fluid level monitoring – using acoustic monitoring and cellular data acquisition developed a remotely operated fluid level monitoring system for the remote optimization of pump jacks and big data analytics for polymer flood projects. • Down hole tools including collar locator, gamma temperature, bond logging, pressure etc. • Mud Logging – measuring C1-C5 and correlating the gas measurements with drilling depth • Frac monitoring – using cellular communication I developed a mission critical alarm monitoring system to protect well heads from high pressure fracturing processes. Frac pressures can reach as high as 50,000psi and well heads are often only rated for 10-20kpsi so the monitoring system would protect adjacent well heads in real time from the high fracking pressures. How to get started? Conversation and planning is Free! Let's chat about your use case and make a plan to get your idea into production!
