I pay close attention to character consistency, facial expressions, poses, panel composition, and the overall flow of the story. MY PROCESS I like to keep my process simple and collaborative. I first go through your script, references, character descriptions, or ideas so I can understand what you’re looking for. From there, I usually start with hand-drawn sketches. I enjoy this part because it gives me room to explore different poses, expressions, compositions, and character ideas before moving into the final artwork. Once the direction is right, I take the approved sketches into the digital stage and develop the line art, characters, backgrounds, colors, shading, and other details needed for the final comic. Throughout the project, I’m open to feedback. I believe good communication makes the creative process much easier, especially when working on longer comic or graphic novel projects.
