Whenever people ask for my help they often feel upset because they have worked with artists who didn't have an idea didn't talk during the project or gave them files that didn't work. That's not me. I make sure that doesn't happen. As a Comic Book Artist and 2D Animator I have than five years of experience bringing stories, characters and ideas to life using either hand-drawn traditional methods or computer illustration. I am not just creating pictures; I am making the pictures that are needed on time and with clear communication, during the whole project. MY PROCESS BRIEF AND REFERENCE CHECK: Before I start drawing any lines I want to know your reference art the style you want (like gritty noir inks or clean cartoony lines) the deadline and what you need at the end. Print- pages, digital-only or a tattoo stencil. This conversation stops most "this isn't what I wanted" problems from the start. ROUGH SKETCHES: For comics I work from your pencils or thumbnail layout. For tattoos you get a sketch showing where it will go and how thick the lines will be. Nothing goes to art until you have approved it. INKING: I draw confident lines with real line-weight variation so the art has depth instead of looking flat or like it was traced. COLORING: I do flats, shading, mood and lighting keeping in mind how it will look when printed in CMYK or shown on screen so colors don't get muddy or too bright. LETTERING: I. Adjust the spacing of balloons, captions and SFX so they read easily without clashing with the art. REVISION AND DELIVERY: I set a number of revision rounds of having endless changes so you always know where the project is and when it will be ready. SKILLS Comic and manga-style inking ( hybrid traditional/digital) Digital coloring. Flats, shading, mood lighting, texture and atmosphere Professional comic lettering and typography (balloons, captions, SFX) Tattoo design. Linework, blackwork, line, stencil-ready output Commercial and advertising illustration Product and e-commerce visual design (banners, promotional graphics) Character and style consistency, across multiple pages or panels I use a lot of tools for my work. Clip Studio Paint is what I use for inking and lettering. I use Adobe Photoshop for coloring and adding texture and fixing the colors. Adobe Illustrator is what I use for making vector lines and creating stencils. I also use Procreate for making concept sketches and mockups for tattoos. Sometimes I need to use Adobe InDesign for laying out a project for print. I have learned to draw in different styles. I can do comic style and manga style and painterly style and bold blackwork tattoo lines. The reason I can do all these styles is because my job is not just to draw what I like. WHO I HAVE WORKED, WITH I have worked with Creative Advertising Studio as a Commercial Illustrator. At Creative Advertising Studio I made custom pictures for advertisements things they give away to people and things they put on the internet. I worked with the people who make the advertisements to make sure the pictures looked right for the brand. I have also worked with E-commerce Brand as a Product Visual Designer. At E-commerce Brand I made pictures to sell things, banners and pictures with the brand name on them. These pictures helped show the products to customers in a way. I have my Personal Concept Art Practice where I keep making new characters, places and stories. I do this to get better at making pictures and to have a lot of things in my portfolio. I am still working on my Personal Concept Art Practice to make it better. My job is to draw what the project needs. If you have an idea for a project, like a script or some pencil drawings or a tattoo idea that you wrote down you can send it to me. Let us talk about turning your idea into something that is finished. I can draw in styles, like western comic style and manga style and painterly style and bold blackwork tattoo lines because I want your project to look the way it needs to look.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I find the right caricature artist for my event or project?

Look for artists with portfolios that match the style you’re after. For live events, it’s helpful to choose someone with experience in quick sketching and crowd engagement. If you need digital caricatures, ensure the artist is proficient with the relevant tools and formats.

How long does it take for a caricature artist to complete a commission?

The timeline can vary depending on the complexity of the work and the number of caricatures needed. For live events, artists can complete sketches within minutes, while digital or more detailed commissions may take a few days to a week.

What should I include in my caricature request?

Be clear about the style you want, the number of caricatures, and whether you need the work for an event or as a commissioned piece. Providing reference images or specific guidelines about features to highlight can also help the artist meet your expectations.

Can caricature artists work remotely?

Yes, many caricature artists can work remotely by creating digital caricatures based on photographs. This is a great option for personalized gifts or marketing materials, and the artist can deliver the final work electronically.

How much experience should a caricature artist have?

Look for an artist with experience in your particular project type, whether it's live event sketching or commissioned work. Their portfolio should reflect their ability to meet your specific needs in terms of style, speed, or technique.
