We're a pre-launch direct-to-consumer genetic wellness company. Our educational (non-diagnostic) report reads 59 SNPs across 9 biological systems. We've already done the literature legwork and built a clean, pre-filled validation workbook. We need a credentialed geneticist to confirm and correct the scientific calls before launch — you're validating our draft, not building from scratch. ⚠ Credential is required for this role — please read first: This role requires a current, verifiable clinical credential: board certification or an active state license. Examples: board-certified clinical geneticist (ABMGG), ABGC-certified and state-licensed genetic counselor, or a currently licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS). In your proposal, state exactly what you hold, the issuing body, and that it is currently active — we verify credentials as a standard step. To be direct so we don't waste each other's time: a PhD alone, "board-eligible," "trained as," or a professional-society fellowship does not meet this requirement. If you don't hold an active license or board certification, this particular role isn't a fit — but we genuinely appreciate you not applying so we can move quickly for both of us. What the validation entails: Confirm the effect allele for each marker, on the correct strand. Strand orientation is the #1 thing we need checked — candidate-gene literature is full of variants reported on opposite strands, and a flipped allele would make our report state the opposite of the truth. Confirm direction (does the effect allele raise or lower the trait) and that each marker maps to a defensible trait. Rule on our candidate-gene markers — 26 of 59 are candidate-gene (not in the GWAS Catalog), labeled "Emerging" in our report. We need your judgment on whether each is defensible as clearly-labeled emerging research, or should be cut. What you're working from (this is what makes it fast) A styled Excel workbook, 60 rows. 57 of 60 already have a proposed effect allele, direction, and a clickable PubMed citation — you confirm or correct in dedicated columns (blank = you agree). Rows pre-sorted by review priority: 14 clean GWAS hits (quick confirm), 20 multi-trait (pick the right trait), 26 candidate-gene (your judgment). A separate audit document flagging the exact markers where the literature is contested, contradictory, or strand-ambiguous — so you know where to spend your time. Also required Direct experience with SNP effect alleles, strand orientation (plus/minus, dbSNP/GRCh38), and reading GWAS vs. candidate-gene literature.Comfortable saying "this one isn't defensible" — we compete on honesty, not over claiming, so pushback is what we're paying for. Scope & budget Estimated 2–4 hours. Hourly or fixed fee — propose what you prefer. To apply: Start your proposal with the word "STRAND" so we know you read the scope, and include: (1) your exact credential + issuing body + that it's active, (2) one line on how you'd verify strand orientation, and (3) your rate. We send the workbook and audit doc to shortlisted, credential-verified candidates only.

Our website is numerafinance.com (it is under development right now). This would ideally be an ongoing gig focused on tax and accounting content writing mainly for startups and small to mid sized businesses in the US market Looking at: thought leadership content (ghostwritten), blog posts, potentially longer pieces like playbooks or e-books, checklists. Possibly social media posts for a CEO. I'm the first marketing leader hire on this team. I have two coordinators in India but need someone US based to write content because they are not hitting the mark and my team is stretched too thin. None of them are writers. I am big on communication, constructive feedback, and kindness.

The assessment must also address cybersecurity risks associated with the client’s use of artificial intelligence, third-party AI solutions, and AI-enabled threats. Required Deliverables The consultant will be responsible for producing: 1. **NYDFS Part 500 Requirements Matrix** A section-by-section assessment identifying applicability, compliance status, evidence reviewed, gaps, and recommended corrective actions. 2. **Executive Readiness Report** A concise summary of the client’s overall readiness, material risks, significant deficiencies, and recommended next steps. 3. **Detailed Gap Assessment Report** Documentation of control gaps, policy gaps, evidence deficiencies, and areas requiring remediation. 4. **Prioritized Remediation Roadmap** Recommendations organized by criticality, regulatory impact, estimated level of effort, responsible function, and suggested completion timeline. 5. **AI Cybersecurity Risk Assessment** An evaluation of risks associated with the organization’s use of AI systems and exposure to AI-enabled cyber threats. 6. **Annual Certification Readiness Package** A consolidated collection of findings and supporting documentation to assist the client’s leadership in evaluating its readiness for the annual NYDFS Part 500 certification or acknowledgment process. 7. **Final Executive Presentation** A virtual presentation of findings, major risks, and recommended remediation priorities. ## Mandatory Qualifications Applicants must have: * An active **CISSP certification**. * Demonstrated experience conducting **NYDFS 23 NYCRR Part 500 readiness, compliance, or gap assessments**. * Strong knowledge of the current NYDFS Part 500 requirements and amendments. * Experience working with regulated financial-services organizations. * Experience reviewing cybersecurity governance, risk assessments, policies, technical controls, and compliance evidence. * Knowledge of AI cybersecurity risks, generative AI governance, and third-party AI risk. * Strong report-writing, interviewing, and executive-presentation skills. * The ability to independently lead the assessment and meet agreed deadlines. ## Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with: * CISA, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, or similar certifications in addition to CISSP. * Experience supporting NYDFS annual certification readiness. * Experience with financial institutions, insurance companies, fintech companies, lenders, or other DFS-regulated entities. * Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other cybersecurity frameworks. * Experience assessing third-party service providers and cloud environments. * Experience developing executive-ready cybersecurity and regulatory reports. ## Engagement Details * **Engagement type:** Independent consulting project * **Work arrangement:** Remote * **Expected commitment:** Approximately 30–60 hours, depending on the client’s environment and documentation readiness * **Potential for additional work:** Yes, including remediation validation, policy development, recurring assessments, and other FortifyData client engagements * **Confidentiality:** The consultant will be required to sign a nondisclosure agreement before accessing client information ## How to Apply Please include the following in your proposal: * Confirmation that your CISSP certification is active. * A summary of your direct NYDFS Part 500 assessment experience. * The number and types of NYDFS Part 500 engagements you have completed. * A description of your proposed assessment methodology. * Your experience assessing AI-related cybersecurity risks. * A redacted example of a cybersecurity gap assessment, requirements matrix, or executive report, when available. * Your estimated availability and anticipated project duration. * Your proposed fixed-price fee or hourly rate. Proposals that do not clearly demonstrate direct NYDFS Part 500 experience will not be considered. ## Screening Questions 1. Is your CISSP certification currently active? 2. How many NYDFS Part 500 readiness or gap assessments have you personally completed? 3. What types of DFS-regulated organizations have you assessed? 4. Describe the primary deliverables you produced during your most recent NYDFS Part 500 engagement. 5. How would you evaluate cybersecurity risks associated with generative AI and third-party AI platforms? 6. Are you available to participate in client interviews and present findings to executive leadership? 7. Can you provide a redacted sample of a comparable assessment deliverable?

This role partners closely with Wealth Advisors to incorporate tax considerations into holistic financial planning, investment strategy, retirement planning, and estate coordination. This position is designed for a CPA who thrives in a fiduciary, advice-first environment and who views tax planning as a strategic, year-round value driver—not solely a compliance function. Key Responsibilities: Tax Strategy & Planning -Develop and implement proactive, customized tax strategies for clients, including: -Tax-efficient investment and asset location strategies - Roth conversion analysis and multi-year tax projections - Capital gains and loss harvesting coordination - Charitable planning (DAFs, QCDs, gifting strategies) - Retirement income tax sequencing - Equity compensation and executive compensation planning - Business owner, pass-through entity, and multi-state tax planning - Conduct scenario modeling and tax impact analysis to support planning recommendations - Monitor tax law changes and assess client-specific implications Client Advisory & Relationship Management - Serve as a primary tax advisor to assigned clients - Lead and participate in client meetings to explain tax strategies and recommendations in a clear, client-friendly manner - Collaborate with Wealth Advisors to align tax strategies with investment, financial, and estate planning objectives - Coordinate with external professionals (estate attorneys, external CPAs, trustees) as needed Holistic Financial Planning Integration - Embed tax assumptions and strategies into financial planning software and client plans - Partner with advisory teams to ensure tax considerations are incorporated into: Investment decisions, Retirement and distribution strategies, Estate and legacy planning. - Ensure all recommendations align with fiduciary obligations and firm planning standards Tax Preparation & Compliance - Prepare and/or review federal and state tax returns, including: - Individual (Form 1040) - Trust and estate (Form 1041) - Business returns (Forms 1120S, 1065, Schedule C) - Ensure accuracy, compliance, and documentation consistent with regulatory and professional standards - Oversee tax filing timelines, extensions, and client communications Internal Leadership & Education: - Act as an internal tax resource for advisors and planning teams - Educate advisors on tax-sensitive planning strategies and current tax developments - Assist in developing tax planning workflows, processes, and best practices - Contribute to firm thought leadership, including tax updates, planning memos, and client education materials Qualifications Required: - Active CPA license in good standing - 5+ years of progressive tax experience (public accounting, wealth management, or family office) - Demonstrated expertise in individual, business, and trust taxation - Strong experience with tax planning beyond basic compliance - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - High ethical standards and commitment to fiduciary principles Preferred: - Prior experience working with an RIA, family office, or wealth management firm - Experience serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients - CFP® designation or significant financial planning experience - Familiarity with financial planning and tax planning software - Leadership or mentoring experience Compensation & Benefits - Competitive base salary commensurate with experience - Performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation - Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off - Professional development and continuing education support - Potential for long-term growth, leadership opportunities, and participation in firm success Why Join Us - Collaborative, advice-first culture centered on delivering exceptional client outcomes - Deep integration between tax planning, financial planning, and investment management - Opportunity to shape and grow an in-house tax strategy function - Client relationships built on trust, transparency, and long-term partnership High performance environment. Read this before you apply. " I'll save you time. This firm is not for everyone. By my estimate, about one in five people can actually work the way we work — direct, fast, results-first, team-first, clean, politics-free, and without the grievance culture that quietly drains most offices. That's not a complaint about people. It's a statement of fit. The other four out of five will be happier somewhere else, and we'd rather they get there quickly. Our clients trust us with the results of their life's effort — businesses they built, wealth they accumulated, decisions that will outlive them. Our internal culture exists to protect that trust. The directness protects it. The team orientation protects it. The focus on results protects it. The clean environment, the politics-free workplace, the refusal to let problems sit unresolved — all of it protects it. We are a boutique, independent, fiduciary firm that integrates investment, tax, and estate planning into a single coordinated plan. The work is legacy-weighted: clients bring us decades of accumulated wealth and decisions that outlive them. The internal culture runs on seven explicit values, and every one of them is also a filter. If you read the seven values above and you got excited — like you've been looking for a place that actually operates this way — we should talk. If you felt anything else, you already have your answer." — Founder & CEO Additional Info: You'll fit here if… You can hear "that's not right, here's why, please fix it" without flinching or taking it personally. You give feedback the same way you want to receive it: respectfully, promptly, and unambiguously. You move quickly and adapt. You don't treat every small decision as a committee-level question. You measure your day by what you finished, not what you touched. If you said Thursday, it's done Thursday — or someone hears about it Wednesday. You ask for help when you need it, without apology or performance. Help is always available; confusion rarely is. You keep a clean workplace by default — no profanity, no crude or off-color humor — because that's already how you carry yourself. You keep your politics out of client work and team communication, because you respect that not everyone shares them. You care about the details because you understand that what we do affects families for decades.

RV Overnights is a founder-operated membership platform connecting RV travelers with overnight stays at farms, wineries, breweries, and partner properties. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and growing. We're hiring a senior B2B sales operator to run and grow our host sign-up engine and to own our entire B2B operation. To be clear up front: this is not an HR or headhunting role. When we talk about signing up hosts, we mean acquiring businesses onto our platform. You are selling businesses on partnering with us, not hiring people. This is an ownership role, and two things sit at the center of it. First, you own host sign-ups. This is the engine that gets businesses (farms, wineries, breweries, private properties) to join our platform as hosts. For them it's a free marketing channel that puts them in front of traveling RV members. For us it's supply, and it's the one area of our business we haven't rethought in a while. You'll take our existing three-person team and make rapid, measurable progress: new sourcing channels, better outreach systems, higher sign-up conversion, faster onboarding. You're not maintaining this. You're growing it aggressively. Working with our partnerships manager and CEO to find new areas of growth. Second, you own B2B. We have many opportunities and areas to manage our B2B sales. You are the single owner of that entire side of the business. This would include commission based opportunities in addition to hourly pay. What you will own in this role: -Host sign-up engine. Lead and grow the three-person team. Rebuild how we find and sign new host businesses onto the platform. Set targets, coach the team, own the numbers, and make fast progress on a channel that's been static too long. This is selling businesses on a free listing, not sourcing candidates. -Dealer distribution. Build relationships with RV dealerships to distribute and sell our memberships in bulk. You own the full cycle from prospecting to signed partnership. -HubSpot operations. Everything above runs on HubSpot, so you keep it clean and working: workflows, data hygiene, automation, reporting. This is the tooling layer under your real work, and it has to be tight. What kind of person we are seeking: -Certified HubSpot professional. HubSpot Academy certification required, not optional. -A track record of building or transforming a B2B sales or partner sign-up function. We want to see a channel you've built, a pipeline you've grown, or a team you've scaled from weak to strong. Experience signing businesses onto a platform, marketplace, or program is ideal. -Proven B2B closing ability. Deals you've personally closed, with specifics on size and cycle. -Operator mentality. You see what's broken, you fix it, you don't wait for direction. -Comfortable with commission-heavy upside. Your base is competitive, but your real money comes from dealer closures and vendor enrollment. That's intentional. -Leadership without ego. You're managing a small team and reporting directly to the founder. We move fast and communicate plainly. Payment Structure: -Twenty hours per week to start. We evaluate after 60 to 90 days and adjust as you settle in. -Base plus performance. Monthly bonuses for hitting host sign-up targets. Commission on vendor enrollments and a flat bounty per dealer partnership closed. We'll dial in the exact commission structure during onboarding. Why join RV Overnights? We're founder-operated, so there's no corporate drag and real decision speed. If you turn host sign-ups into a machine and lock down dealer and vendor revenue, you're building something you'll be paid well to own.

I run a tax advisory firm in Austin, Texas focused on S corporation owners, real estate investors, and multi-entity clients. Junior preparers draft the returns. I need a second reviewer who can perform true technical review at the senior manager or partner level, not a detail tick-and-tie. This role exists because turnaround matters. Review capacity, not preparation, is the bottleneck I am solving. If you cannot commit to returning review notes within 48 to 72 hours of assignment during peak periods, this is not the right engagement for you. What you will review Form 1040 returns with Schedule C and Schedule E activity, K-1 flowthrough, and multistate filings Form 1120-S returns with shareholder basis statements (Form 7203), reasonable compensation positions, and Accumulated Adjustments Account (AAA) tracking Form 1065 returns with special allocations and partner capital accounts Recurring issue areas: passive activity classification under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 469 including short-term rental treatment, cost segregation and Section 481(a) catch-up adjustments, accountable plans and owner fringe benefits, state nexus and apportionment How the engagement works I assign returns on demand as preparers complete them. There are no guaranteed minimum hours. Volume concentrates around the March, April, September, and October deadlines, with an estimated 5-10 returns per month in season. You review the return against the workpapers, verify positions, elections, carryovers, and basis, and deliver written review notes through TaxDome. Notes must be specific enough that a junior preparer can correct the file and learn from it. You are the second set of eyes. I perform final review and sign the return. Requirements Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential Roughly ten years of hands-on tax experience with direct review responsibility for other preparers' work. I will consider manager-level reviewers with seven or more years whose experience concentrates in flowthrough entities and real estate. Technical knowledge at the senior manager or partner level is the standard. Where you built it matters less than whether you have it. National firm, regional firm, solo practice, industry, and family office backgrounds all qualify. Demonstrated depth in flowthrough taxation, passive activity rules, and multistate individual and entity filings Located in the United States. Client return information does not leave the United States and I will not obtain IRC Section 7216 offshore disclosure consents, so applicants outside the United States cannot be considered. Signed confidentiality and independent contractor agreements before any client file is shared. Terms Independent contractor, part time, on demand. Hourly rate or a per-return flat fee schedule once we calibrate on the first several files. This is intended as an ongoing relationship. I am building review bench strength, not filling a one-time project. How to apply Start the first line of your proposal with your credential, license state, and years of review experience. Proposals that skip this line will not be read. Then answer these four questions: Describe the most technically complex return you reviewed in the last twelve months and the most significant issue you caught on review. What is your realistic weekly capacity from February 1 through April 15? What tax preparation software have you worked in as a reviewer? I use ProSeries Professional. State your hourly rate, or your flat fee to review a moderately complex Form 1120-S with three states and two shareholders.
