This is a senior technical leadership role for someone with extensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to design solutions that remain scalable, maintainable, secure, and adaptable as business requirements evolve. The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience architecting Salesforce environments across multiple clouds, business units, geographies, and integrated enterprise systems. You must be able to reason beyond individual features or tickets and make sound decisions across data architecture, security, automation, integration, performance, governance, release management, and long-term platform strategy. You will work across the Salesforce product ecosystem—including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Data Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Field Service, Industry Clouds, and Agentforce—and must be able to rapidly develop expertise in products or capabilities that are new to you. Salesforce evolves continuously. Success in this role requires staying current on Salesforce releases, platform limitations, architectural guidance, licensing changes, security practices, new cloud capabilities, and the evolving Salesforce product roadmap. ## Responsibilities * Own the end-to-end technical architecture of large-scale, multi-cloud Salesforce implementations. * Translate complex business requirements into comprehensive solution architectures, technical specifications, data models, integration designs, security models, and implementation plans. * Make architectural decisions based on scalability, maintainability, performance, security, extensibility, total cost of ownership, and long-term business needs. * Design solutions that appropriately balance declarative configuration, Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components, platform events, APIs, middleware, and external services. * Establish clear architectural boundaries between Salesforce clouds, external applications, integration platforms, data warehouses, identity providers, and other enterprise systems. * Design Salesforce data architectures involving complex object models, high data volumes, archival strategies, data residency requirements, master-data ownership, deduplication, and cross-system synchronization. * Define integration architectures using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Bulk API, Pub/Sub API, Change Data Capture, Platform Events, external services, middleware, and event-driven patterns. * Evaluate synchronous, asynchronous, batch, event-driven, and near-real-time integration approaches and select the appropriate pattern for each use case. * Develop security and access-control architectures using profiles, permission sets, permission-set groups, roles, sharing rules, restriction rules, territories, identity management, encryption, and audit capabilities. * Design for Salesforce platform limits, transaction boundaries, concurrency, performance, data skew, large data volumes, API consumption, automation conflicts, and failure recovery. * Establish architecture standards for Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components, integrations, testing, observability, exception handling, documentation, and technical debt management. * Review solution designs and code to ensure implementations follow Salesforce best practices and approved architectural patterns. * Lead architecture across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Data Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Field Service, Industry Clouds, Agentforce, and other Salesforce products as required. * Develop expertise in unfamiliar Salesforce clouds and products quickly enough to guide implementation teams and make informed architectural decisions. * Define deployment, environment, and release-management strategies across development environments, scratch orgs, sandboxes, staging environments, and production organizations. * Establish CI/CD and DevOps practices using Salesforce DX, Git, automated testing, static analysis, packaging, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or comparable tooling. * Design governance models for multi-team and multi-org Salesforce environments, including ownership boundaries, reusable components, dependency management, naming conventions, and release controls. * Identify architectural risks early, document tradeoffs, and clearly communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Partner with business leaders, product managers, administrators, developers, security teams, data teams, and enterprise architects to ensure Salesforce solutions support broader organizational goals. * Mentor architects, developers, and administrators while raising the overall technical quality of the Salesforce organization. * Maintain current knowledge of Salesforce seasonal releases, product announcements, reference architectures, Well-Architected guidance, security advisories, deprecations, platform limits, and emerging capabilities. ##
