We're a small healthcare technology company running a validation study, and we need a credentialed coder to be our independent answer key. We've built software that checks medical bills against insurers' published negotiated prices. Before we trust it — or ask anyone else to — we want an experienced human to audit the same bills from scratch, without seeing what our software concluded. Then we compare notes. The work: Audit 5 real, consented patient bills: a mix of physician and hospital/facility bills, marketplace and employer plans, at least one with a denial attached. You'll receive the itemized bill, the matching EOB, and the member's plan documents. For each bill, produce a written workup: whether billed codes are supported, any duplicates/unbundling/modifier or units issues, revenue code and chargemaster concerns on the facility bill, whether the allowed amount matches plan terms, what the patient actually owes, and your read on any denial (CARC/RARC). Mark each finding as certain, probable, or unresolvable. "I can't tell from these documents" is a genuinely useful answer here. Join one recorded 90-minute video debrief after all five workups are delivered, where we compare your findings with the software's. This is a blind review. You won't see our software's output until your workup is done, and nobody here will hint at it. Your independence is the entire value of the engagement. We're not looking for agreement — we're looking for your professional judgment, and disagreement is a useful result. Skills/Requirements: Active CPC (AAPC) or CCS (AHIMA) — include your credential number in your proposal 5+ years coding and auditing commercial claims Both professional and facility experience (revenue codes, chargemaster) — the hospital bill is where we most need depth Solid command of EOBs, payer policy, and denial codes The ability to explain your reasoning in writing, clearly Logistics: Work happens in late September 2026; debrief the first week of October. You'll sign an NDA. All patient documents move through a secure channel we provide — never email or personal cloud storage. Records are de-identified wherever the review doesn't require the detail. If this goes well there's follow-on work in 2027 reviewing appeal letters, and eventually a full-time quality role.

Looking for a Meta-certified ads professional to resolve repeated ad rejections. This is urgent. Campaigns are down and I need it fixed as soon as possible. WHAT WE RUN Ads promoting free in-person educational workshops. Attendance is free, nothing is sold in the ad, and there is no product offer, no credit offer, and no earnings or return claims. Straightforward event promotion for an educational seminar. These should not require Special Ad Category treatment. We are not advertising a financial product or a credit offer, so the financial services category should not apply to this account. Running under a Special Ad Category would strip our targeting and is not what we want. THE PROBLEM Ads keep getting rejected and the notices never identify which element is at fault, so every resubmission is a guess. Account Quality shows a score of 86 with no account-level restriction. We have already deleted and rebuilt every ad set and ad from scratch and the rejections continue. WHAT I NEED 1. Identify exactly which element is triggering the rejection (ad copy, creative, targeting, or the landing page) and which policy it maps to. 2. Rewrite the copy so it clears review as standard educational event promotion, with the educational framing intact. 3. Confirm whether Meta is classifying this account under the financial services Special Ad Category, and if so, what specifically is driving that classification and how to correct it. Deliverable is a short written audit and corrected copy. No decks, no strategy documents. This starts as a fixed-price diagnostic, but I am open to discussing ongoing management if the fix holds and we work well together. PLEASE INCLUDE IN YOUR PROPOSAL - Your Meta Blueprint certification and credential ID so I can verify it - If you work at a Meta Business Partner agency, name the agency - Whether you have access to an assigned Meta partner manager who can escalate a policy decision - Your approach to Meta's personal attributes policy on age or life-stage targeted creative - One example of a rejection you diagnosed and fixed Do not apply if you offer account reinstatement services, agency ad accounts, or claim internal contacts at Meta. Access will be granted through Business Manager only. No login credentials shared. Please include your earliest availability. I can start today.

Licensed US CPA, EA, attorney, or certified business appraiser needed for a small, one-off certification. I have a single-member Missouri LLC owned by my self-directed IRA. The LLC holds no assets. Its Bitcoin was largely lost in leveraged trading in 2019 and the remainder was withdrawn to wallets I control; the accounts have been at zero since 2020. There is no cash, receivable, contract right, or liability remaining. My custodian requires a third-party professional to certify current fair market value on a one-page form (Section D: name, signature, license number, state). Expected value is $0. The custodian states that no appraisal report or supporting statements need accompany the form. Two things you should know before bidding. Prior annual values I reported to the custodian ran up to $170,000 and did not reflect that the assets had already left, so the custodian may question the decrease. And the allocation between LLC and personal funds inside the 2019 trading account is not fully reconstructed; my older notes on the amounts conflict with the exchange records. Documents I can provide: full exchange transaction, trade, and order history exports; on-chain records; custodian statements from original funding through the current quarter; Forms 5498; LLC formation paperwork and Form SS-4; and a detailed background memo. Scope: review the documents, then complete and sign the one-page form. Please confirm you are willing to sign before we start. In your proposal: license or credential number and state, flat fee, and turnaround.

Required Deliverables The consultant will be responsible for producing: 1. **NYDFS Part 500 Requirements Matrix** A section-by-section assessment identifying applicability, compliance status, evidence reviewed, gaps, and recommended corrective actions. 2. **Executive Readiness Report** A concise summary of the client’s overall readiness, material risks, significant deficiencies, and recommended next steps. 3. **Detailed Gap Assessment Report** Documentation of control gaps, policy gaps, evidence deficiencies, and areas requiring remediation. 4. **Prioritized Remediation Roadmap** Recommendations organized by criticality, regulatory impact, estimated level of effort, responsible function, and suggested completion timeline. 5. **AI Cybersecurity Risk Assessment** An evaluation of risks associated with the organization’s use of AI systems and exposure to AI-enabled cyber threats. 6. **Annual Certification Readiness Package** A consolidated collection of findings and supporting documentation to assist the client’s leadership in evaluating its readiness for the annual NYDFS Part 500 certification or acknowledgment process. 7. **Final Executive Presentation** A virtual presentation of findings, major risks, and recommended remediation priorities. ## Mandatory Qualifications Applicants must have: * An active **CISSP certification**. * Demonstrated experience conducting **NYDFS 23 NYCRR Part 500 readiness, compliance, or gap assessments**. * Strong knowledge of the current NYDFS Part 500 requirements and amendments. * Experience working with regulated financial-services organizations. * Experience reviewing cybersecurity governance, risk assessments, policies, technical controls, and compliance evidence. * Knowledge of AI cybersecurity risks, generative AI governance, and third-party AI risk. * Strong report-writing, interviewing, and executive-presentation skills. * The ability to independently lead the assessment and meet agreed deadlines. ## Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with: * CISA, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, or similar certifications in addition to CISSP. * Experience supporting NYDFS annual certification readiness. * Experience with financial institutions, insurance companies, fintech companies, lenders, or other DFS-regulated entities. * Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other cybersecurity frameworks. * Experience assessing third-party service providers and cloud environments. * Experience developing executive-ready cybersecurity and regulatory reports. ## How to Apply Please include the following in your proposal: * Confirmation that your CISSP certification is active. * A summary of your direct NYDFS Part 500 assessment experience. * The number and types of NYDFS Part 500 engagements you have completed. * A description of your proposed assessment methodology. * Your experience assessing AI-related cybersecurity risks. * A redacted example of a cybersecurity gap assessment, requirements matrix, or executive report, when available. * Your estimated availability and anticipated project duration. * Your proposed fixed-price fee or hourly rate. Proposals that do not clearly demonstrate direct NYDFS Part 500 experience will not be considered. ## Screening Questions 1. Is your CISSP certification currently active? 2. How many NYDFS Part 500 readiness or gap assessments have you personally completed? 3. What types of DFS-regulated organizations have you assessed? 4. Describe the primary deliverables you produced during your most recent NYDFS Part 500 engagement. 5. How would you evaluate cybersecurity risks associated with generative AI and third-party AI platforms? 6. Are you available to participate in client interviews and present findings to executive leadership? 7. Can you provide a redacted sample of a comparable assessment deliverable?

U.S.-Based Litigation Paralegal / Law-Trained Litigation Professional Complex Civil Litigation | Remote Independent Contractor | Upwork Compensation: $30/hour, paid at the agreed hourly rate from the start; final rate depends on demonstrated U.S. complex-litigation experience, procedural fluency, work-product quality, and committed availability. Expected Commitment: 20-35 hours per week initially, with a meaningful opportunity for expanded or full-time hours for an exceptional performer. This is not a casual, project-only role. Engagement Type: Independent contractor engagement through Upwork; hours must be accurately recorded using Upwork Time Tracker and work diary. Location: Fully remote, but applicants must be physically based in the United States and authorized to perform this work. Mandatory Sync Hours: 7:00 AM-2:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday-Friday. Outside these hours, the schedule is flexible, but the successful candidate must be responsive during the sync window, attend scheduled meetings, and be available with reasonable advance notice for litigation-critical deadlines, filings, depositions, hearings, and trial-preparation needs. Reporting and Supervision: Works under the direction and supervision of Rose Law Firm attorneys; this role does not provide legal advice or independently represent clients. Position Overview Rose Law Firm is seeking a high-caliber U.S.-based litigation paralegal or law-trained litigation professional to support attorneys handling sophisticated civil disputes. This role is ideal for someone with serious civil-litigation experience, strong procedural judgment, excellent writing and organization skills, and the ability to produce attorney-ready work product in a remote, deadline-driven environment. This is a supervised litigation-support role. The successful candidate will not provide legal advice, appear independently, or communicate externally on legal matters without attorney authorization. The right person will be comfortable helping attorneys move cases forward through factual investigation, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, settlement preparation, and trial. This is not a generic administrative role. The work will require excellent judgment, procedural rigor, concise written communication, an ability to turn attorney direction into reliable work product, and an interest in improving how a distributed, technology-forward litigation team operates. What You Will Do Litigation Drafting and Research • Prepare first drafts and attorney-directed revisions of pleadings, motions, declarations, proposed orders, demand letters, discovery requests and responses, meet-and-confer correspondence, deposition notices, subpoenas, case-management filings, and supporting papers. • Conduct targeted legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, CourtListener, PACER, and other approved sources; synthesize authority into concise, well-cited memoranda, issue outlines, timelines, and attorney-ready analyses. • Perform citation, quotation, record, and exhibit verification with the level of care expected for court-filed work. • Build and maintain factual chronologies, witness profiles, damages-support materials, issue lists, discovery trackers, and litigation-status reports. Discovery, Depositions, and Case Development • Draft and manage written discovery, including requests for production, interrogatories, requests for admission, objections, deficiency letters, and motions to compel support materials. • Assist with document review, privilege and confidentiality workflows, factual investigation, deposition preparation, exhibit organization, and follow-up task management. • Prepare deposition binders, witness materials, exhibit lists, summaries, and attorney outlines; manage deposition and subpoena logistics under attorney direction. • Identify approaching deadlines, incomplete assignments, record gaps, and procedural risks early and raise them promptly to the responsible attorney or case manager. Court-Facing and Trial Support • Support attorney-reviewed e-filing and service workflows in federal and state court systems, including PACER/ECF and jurisdiction-specific portals where applicable. • Prepare filing-ready document packages, verify formatting and local-rule compliance, coordinate exhibits and appendices, and maintain a complete, orderly electronic case file. • Assist with hearing and trial preparation, including witness and exhibit lists, demonstrative organization, trial binders, jury-instruction research support, and real-time task tracking during key events. Legal Operations, Technology, and Team Collaboration • Maintain matter organization in NetDocuments and coordinate tasks, deadlines, and status updates in ClickUp. • Use Microsoft Word at a high level, including styles, tracked changes, section breaks, pagination, tables, redlining, and filing-ready PDF preparation. • Participate actively in Zoom meetings and Zoom Chat; keep work visible, communicate risks early, and provide clear end-of-day or matter-status updates when requested. • Use approved AI tools responsibly to accelerate research, organization, and drafting, while independently validating all outputs before they are relied on or shared. • Help improve templates, checklists, discovery trackers, and repeatable workflows that increase the team's speed and quality. Required Qualifications • U.S.-based with at least three years of substantive U.S. civil-litigation paralegal, litigation legal-assistant, judicial, government legal-support, or closely comparable experience. • Demonstrated experience supporting complex civil matters through multiple phases of litigation, including discovery and motion practice; experience must go beyond basic calendaring or file maintenance. • Strong legal research and writing ability, including the ability to analyze procedural and substantive issues, work with case law, and produce clear attorney-ready summaries. • Practical command of litigation documents and workflows: written discovery, discovery responses and objections, meet-and-confer practice, declarations, discovery-motion support materials, deposition preparation, subpoenas, and court filing packages. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat/PDF workflows; strong organizational discipline in electronic files, naming, version control, and exhibits. • Excellent written and spoken English, sound professional judgment, high attention to detail, and a documented record of meeting hard deadlines. • A reliable computer, high-speed internet, professional microphone and camera, quiet workspace, and consistent ability to participate on camera for meetings, training, check-ins, and substantive collaboration. • Willingness to use Upwork Time Tracker, including accurate activity tracking, periodic screenshots, work diary entries, and time reporting. No work may be performed off-platform or outside approved hourly limits without prior authorization. • Ability to treat Rose Law Firm as a serious professional commitment and to avoid conflicts with other full-time employment, client work, or legal practice that would impair availability, confidentiality, or responsiveness. Preferred Qualifications • ABA-approved paralegal certificate, NALA Certified Paralegal credential, current J.D. candidacy, recent J.D. completion, or comparable litigation training. A credential is helpful, but proven litigation performance matters more. • Experience with Oregon state court, federal court, federal bankruptcy, local rules, discovery disputes, motions to compel, subpoenas, e-filing, and deadline/calendaring workflows. • Federal litigation, government legal-support, judicial, agency, commercial-litigation, or document-intensive case experience. • Experience with NetDocuments, ClickUp, PACER/ECF, Westlaw, Lexis, CoCounsel, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, litigation-support databases, document-review platforms, and remote case teams. • Experience preparing trial materials, managing large matters, supporting attorneys in sophisticated private practice, or working in a U.S. Attorney's Office, Department of Defense, court, or agency setting. • Demonstrated interest in legal technology, AI-assisted legal workflows, document automation, or training others in effective litigation-support systems. Work Structure and Communication Standards • The role is fully remote. Candidates must be able to collaborate reliably across a distributed team and maintain the required 7:00 AM-2:00 PM Pacific Time sync window. • Outside sync hours are flexible. During sync hours, candidates must respond promptly to attorney and team messages, attend scheduled meetings, flag capacity constraints before deadlines are endangered, and keep assignments current in ClickUp. • Meetings, training, check-ins, and substantive collaboration are camera-on unless a limited exception is approved in advance. • The firm uses ClickUp, Zoom Chat, Zoom, NetDocuments, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, approved legal-research tools, Bill4Time where matter workflows require it, and approved AI tools. Candidates must be comfortable learning and following the firm's systems. • All client-facing, opposing-counsel, court, witness, vendor, and third-party communications must be authorized and supervised by a Rose Law Firm attorney. The role does not permit the independent practice of law or unsupervised provision of legal advice. Confidentiality, Work Product, and Responsible AI Use • Before beginning work, the selected candidate must execute the firm's confidentiality agreement, contractor services agreement, and applicable engagement documentation. • All firm, client, adverse-party, and matter information is confidential. Candidates may not disclose, retain, publish, reuse, transmit, or share information except as expressly authorized for firm work. • All work product, drafts, research, templates, matter organization, and materials created in the engagement are owned by Rose Law Firm or its clients as applicable. • AI may be used only through approved tools and workflows, consistent with confidentiality obligations and attorney direction. Human review, source verification, citation checking, and factual validation are mandatory before AI-assisted work is relied on or sent onward. The Rose Law Firm Culture Rose Law Firm is a fully remote, business-oriented law firm serving middle-market business owners in significant litigation, transactional, and strategic matters. We combine sophisticated legal work with disciplined project management, strong client service, and an intentional investment in legal technology and AI-enabled workflows. Our five core values guide how we work: • Integrity: protect confidentiality, tell the truth about risks and capacity, and do the right thing when no one is watching. • Excellence: produce accurate, polished work product that can withstand attorney and court scrutiny. • Coachability: seek feedback, absorb it without defensiveness, and become measurably better. • Ownership: take responsibility for assigned work, anticipate next steps, and surface problems early. • Teamwork: make attorneys and colleagues more effective through clear communication, reliability, and a willingness to help where needed. Long-Term Opportunity An exceptional candidate can become a go-to litigation professional within the firm, with increased responsibility on sophisticated matters, expanded hours, performance-based compensation growth, and the opportunity to help build repeatable litigation systems. The path may include senior litigation-paralegal, litigation-project-management, legal-operations, training, or technology-enabled workflow responsibilities depending on performance, demonstrated judgment, and firm needs. What We Are Not Looking For • A purely administrative assistant with no demonstrated U.S. civil-litigation exposure. • A candidate seeking to operate independently as a lawyer, provide unsupervised legal advice, or communicate externally on legal matters without attorney authorization. • Someone who cannot maintain a dependable U.S.-based work presence, on-camera collaboration, professional workspace, or meaningful availability during the required Pacific Time sync window. • A candidate whose other employment, solo practice, client matters, or school schedule would prevent reliable performance, create conflicts, or make deadline-driven litigation work secondary. • Applicants who rely on generic, unverified, or AI-generated work product without careful human review and source validation. How to Apply Please submit the following through Upwork: • A current resume identifying your U.S. litigation experience, jurisdictions, practice settings, and litigation stages you have supported. • A brief, tailored cover letter explaining why you are a fit for a high-accountability remote litigation role and confirming your U.S. location and realistic weekday availability in Pacific Time. • One redacted or original writing sample that demonstrates litigation drafting, legal research, discovery support, motion support, or a comparable attorney-ready work product. Do not submit confidential client materials. • A concise answer (250 words or fewer): You receive an attorney request to prepare responses to written discovery in a commercial case. The deadline is ten days away, the client has not yet provided documents, and the attorney will be in depositions for the next two days. What are your first five actions? What information do you need, what risks would you flag, and when would you escalate? • Your proposed hourly rate within the posted range and any planned schedule limitations for the next six months. Selected finalists may be asked to complete a short paid skills exercise and a CVI Assessment at the same agreed hourly rate. We will not request unpaid substantive work.

Job Description We are a small Oregon-based LLC taxed as a partnership with foreign partners. The company was formed over 10 years ago, and we're looking for a CPA who has experience preparing U.S. partnership tax returns for LLCs with foreign partners. The 2025 return is already substantially prepared, but unfortunately, the prior CPA became unavailable before filing. We are looking for a qualified professional to review the existing draft, make any necessary corrections, and complete the federal and Oregon filings - or, if you think it would be more appropriate, prepare a new return from our records. We'll provide: - form 7004 (extension) and IRS acceptance notice - prior-year tax returns prepared by a professional CPA - a draft 2025 federal and Oregon return prepared by a prior CPA (but not filed) - profit and loss summary - categorized income and expenses - itemized transactions and supporting documentation We've tried to keep our bookkeeping as organized as possible, and we'll be happy to provide any additional info if needed. Requirements - Licensed CPA or qualified U.S. tax professional - Experience preparing Form 1065 partnership returns - Experience working with partnerships that have foreign partners We appreciate clear communication. If something doesn't look right, we'd rather discuss it early than make assumptions. Ideally, we’d like to find someone for this year and, hopefully, future returns as well. The budget listed in this posting is flexible. Please include your rate or estimate for preparing this return. When applying, please mention any experience with Forms K-2/K-3 or partnership returns involving non-U.S. partners.
