Fractional Chief Growth Officer (90–180Day Engagement) Commercial Growth Strategy, Go-to-Market Architecture & Revenue Operating System Location: United States (Remote) Commitment: Fractional (20–30 hours/week) Engagement: 90–180 Days (Potential Extension) About MarketSmart MarketSmart is a remote technology-enabled services company that helps nonprofit organizations build stronger donor relationships and improve fundraising outcomes through intelligent technology, strategic consulting, and proven fundraising methodologies. Unlike traditional software companies, our value is created through the combination of technology, professional services, implementation, customer strategy, and long-term partnership. Our clients don’t simply purchase software—they adopt an operating approach that helps them identify, engage, cultivate, and steward their most promising donors. Over the past year, we’ve invested heavily in strengthening our internal operating system by clarifying accountability, redesigning leadership structure, improving product management, modernizing our customer operating model, and implementing the operational disciplines necessary to support sustainable growth. Our next chapter is building a commercial operating system that matches the maturity of the business we’ve become. ---------------------------------- The Opportunity We’re seeking an experienced Fractional Chief Growth Officer to partner directly with our CEO and Integrator in a focused commercial transformation engagement. This is not a traditional marketing leadership position. It is a strategic engagement focused on assessing, architecting, implementing, and transitioning a scalable commercial operating system. Your responsibility is to evaluate our current commercial ecosystem, identify the structural constraints limiting growth, design a scalable future-state growth engine, and implement the foundational people, processes, technology, reporting, and operating cadence required to support predictable, repeatable growth. Success will be measured by the capability you leave behind—not by becoming indispensable to the business. ----------------------------------------------------- Engagement Objectives By the conclusion of this engagement, MarketSmart should have: * A documented commercial operating system * A refined commercial strategy and go-to-market model * A repeatable demand generation framework * A modernized HubSpot architecture * Executive dashboards and commercial KPIs * Clear operating agreements between Growth, Sales, Product, and Customer Impact * Standard operating procedures for core commercial functions * AI-enabled workflows where appropriate * A prioritized 12-month commercial roadmap * A recommendation for the long-term commercial organization -------------------------------------------- Engagement Phases Phase 1 — Assess (Weeks 1–4) Develop a comprehensive assessment of MarketSmart’s commercial ecosystem. Deliver: * Commercial Growth Strategy * Go-to-Market Strategy * Positioning Framework * Messaging Architecture * Demand Generation Strategy * Revenue Funnel Design * Lifecycle Marketing Strategy * Customer Expansion Strategy * Revenue Operations Framework * Executive KPI Framework * Dashboard Specifications * HubSpot Optimization Plan * AI Enablement Strategy * Technology Roadmap * Commercial Organization Design * Hiring Recommendations * Agency Recommendations * Budget Recommendations * 12-Month Commercial Roadmap ----------------------------------------------- Phase 3 — Build (Weeks 9–16) Implement the foundational infrastructure required to support predictable commercial growth. Install: * HubSpot improvements * Lead lifecycle management * Pipeline management framework * Funnel reporting * Executive dashboards * KPI scorecards * Marketing automation * Sales and marketing operating agreements * Customer lifecycle workflows * Commercial SOPs * Playbooks * Documentation * Growth operating cadence * AI-enabled workflows * Coach internal team members throughout implementation to ensure long-term sustainability. --------------------------------------------------- Phase 4 — Transition Prepare MarketSmart to operate the commercial engine independently. Deliver: * Knowledge transfer * Leadership coaching * Documentation * Playbooks * Governance recommendations * Transition plan * Long-term hiring recommendations Provide an evidence-based recommendation regarding the future commercial organization, including whether MarketSmart should hire: * Director of Growth * Demand Generation Leader * Revenue Operations Leader * Product Marketing * Marketing Operations * Fractional leadership * Agency support * Other commercial capabilities -------------------------------------- Primary Responsibilities * Evaluate the effectiveness of MarketSmart’s commercial operating system. * Diagnose the structural constraints limiting sustainable growth. * Design and implement a repeatable commercial growth engine. * Improve market positioning, messaging, and differentiation. * Align Growth, Sales, Product, and Customer Impact around a unified commercial operating model. * Evaluate product and service packaging, pricing, and commercial strategy. * Optimize HubSpot and supporting commercial systems. * Establish executive dashboards and leading commercial KPIs. * Design scalable commercial processes and operating rhythms. * Develop documentation, SOPs, and playbooks. * Recommend organizational structure and capability requirements. * Identify opportunities to leverage AI across the commercial organization. * Coach leaders through implementation and transition. --------------------------------------------- Ideal Candidate We’re looking for someone who has repeatedly transformed commercial organizations—not simply managed marketing departments. You have likely served as: * Chief Growth Officer * VP of Growth * VP of Marketing * Commercial Strategy Executive * Revenue Operations Executive * Growth Consultant * Fractional Chief Growth Officer * Fractional Chief Revenue Officer More importantly, you have successfully designed and implemented commercial operating systems that align: * Marketing * Sales * Product * Customer Success / Customer Impact * Professional Services * Revenue Operations You understand how to commercialize businesses where customer value is created through both technology and expert services. -------------------------------------------------- Preferred Experience * 10+ years leading commercial growth within B2B technology or technology-enabled services organizations. * Multiple successful commercial transformation engagements. * Experience scaling founder-led or entrepreneurial businesses. * Demonstrated success building repeatable commercial operating systems. * Executive-level communication and stakeholder management. * Deep HubSpot expertise. * Experience implementing Revenue Operations best practices. * Strong analytical and operational mindset. * Experience leveraging AI to improve commercial productivity. * Experience commercializing complex offerings that combine technology with professional services. * Experience serving nonprofit organizations is preferred but not required. ----------------------------------------------------- Success in This Engagement Success will not be measured by campaign activity. Success will be measured by the strength, clarity, and sustainability of the commercial operating system established during the engagement. By the conclusion of the engagement, MarketSmart should have: * A documented commercial operating system. * A differentiated market position. * A repeatable demand generation engine. * A clearly defined go-to-market strategy. * Executive dashboards with leading and lagging indicators. * Defined commercial KPIs. * Optimized HubSpot architecture. * Standardized customer lifecycle processes. * Strong alignment between Growth, Sales, Product, and Customer Impact. * Documented SOPs and commercial playbooks. * A prioritized 12-month commercial roadmap. * A recommended long-term commercial organization supported by evidence gathered throughout the engagement. ----------------------------------------------------- Why Join MarketSmart? MarketSmart has completed much of the foundational work required to scale—including leadership accountability, product ownership, customer operating model redesign, and executive operating cadence. Now we’re ready to build the commercial engine that will power the company’s next stage of growth. This is an opportunity to partner directly with executive leadership, shape the future of a mission-driven technology-enabled services company, and leave behind an operating system that continues creating value long after your engagement concludes. If you enjoy solving complex commercial challenges, building scalable systems, and helping organizations reach their next stage of growth, we’d love to hear from you. -------------------------------------------------- When Applying, Please Include: * Examples of commercial transformations you personally led from assessment through implementation. * Before-and-after business results, including improvements to pipeline quality, conversion rates, revenue growth, customer acquisition efficiency, or expansion. * Examples of commercial operating systems, growth frameworks, or executive scorecards you designed and implemented. * Organizations where your work continued producing measurable results after your engagement concluded. * Your approach to assessing an unfamiliar business during your first 30 days. * Relevant experience with HubSpot, Revenue Operations, AI-enabled commercial systems, and technology-enabled services organizations. * Your preferred engagement model, hourly or project rate, availability, and expected start date.

I am seeking an experienced, U.S.-based individual developer to serve as the technical subject-matter expert (SME)/advisor for a public-sector website redesign proposal. Scope: This is an immediate, paid advising engagement supporting a competitive RFP response due August 24. If our bid is successful, we intend to retain the selected freelancer as a named technical subcontractor for the implementation project. Bubble.io experience is preferred, but we are open to other platforms, including Webflow, WeWeb/Xano, WordPress, Drupal, or comparable solutions, if you can make a strong, well-supported recommendation based on the client’s technical, accessibility, content-management, security, and maintainability requirements. This posting is for individual freelancers only. Please do not apply as an agency, staffing company, or recruiter. Initial RFP Support The selected developer will help us: - Review the solicitation, existing websites, and technical requirements - Recommend an appropriate platform and technical architecture - Explain the benefits, limitations, risks, and tradeoffs of the recommended solution - Develop a credible implementation estimate, staffing assumption, and project schedule - Identify technical assumptions, dependencies, and potential project risks - Provide a professional biography, résumé, qualifications, availability, and pricing for inclusion in the proposal - Provide relevant portfolio examples and, preferably, verifiable client references - Review the completed proposal for technical accuracy - Participate in a client interview, presentation, or technical demonstration if requested The developer will be identified in the proposal as the project’s technical SME and proposed subcontractor. You must be comfortable providing your legal name, business name if applicable, professional biography, qualifications, portfolio, references, availability, and pricing for inclusion in a public-sector proposal. Potential Implementation Scope If awarded, the anticipated project will involve redesigning and launching two related public-agency websites. The likely scope includes: - Technical discovery and solution architecture - Responsive website development - User-friendly content management - Content and document migration - Accessible page and CMS templates - WCAG 2.1 AA and ADA compliance - Accessibility testing and remediation - Cross-browser and mobile testing - Search, forms, integrations, and other public-facing website functionality - Staff training and documentation - Deployment, launch support, and post-launch stabilization Our preliminary planning assumption is approximately 150–250 development hours over roughly 8–12 weeks, with an average commitment of approximately 15–30 hours per week during active development. Candidates will be expected to review the requirements and provide their own recommended effort, schedule, and availability. The project will be managed collaboratively in Jira using a milestone-based, iterative workflow with a prioritized backlog, regular status reviews/demos, issue tracking, acceptance criteria, and documented approvals. Required Qualifications - Currently located in and authorized to work in the United States, Must be a US Citizen - Significant hands-on experience building and launching production websites or web applications - Advanced experience with Bubble.io or another appropriate low-code or CMS platform - Ability to independently recommend a platform rather than simply implement a predetermined solution - Demonstrated knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA, ADA accessibility, accessible templates, testing, and remediation - Experience with content migration, responsive development, testing, deployment, and client training - Strong written and verbal communication - Ability to produce reliable estimates, schedules, assumptions, and technical documentation - Availability to support proposal development before August 24 - Willingness to participate in a client interview or technical demonstration - Willingness to be named as a technical SME and subcontractor in the proposal Strongly Preferred - Direct experience with government or public-sector website projects - Experience with government-adjacent organizations such as nonprofits, libraries, higher education, K–12 education, associations, or community organizations - Verifiable references from prior clients - Portfolio examples demonstrating accessible, content-heavy, public-facing websites - Experience working with nontechnical communications or administrative staff - Familiarity with public-sector procurement, security, accessibility, records, and documentation expectations Budget and Engagement - Hourly range: $70 per hour (for proposal stage); $90-$140/hr during project stage) - Anticipated initial RFP-support engagement: approximately 8–15 hours - Potential awarded engagement: approximately 150–250 hours, subject to the final technical recommendation and project plan - The proposal-support phase is paid - Continued implementation work is contingent upon our team receiving the contract award Application Questions Please answer each of the following: 1. In what U.S. state and time zone are you located? 2. Are you applying as an individual freelancer rather than through an agency? 3. Please provide two or three relevant portfolio examples and explain your specific role on each project. 4. Describe your experience with government, nonprofit, library, education, or other public-serving organizations. 5. Describe your experience implementing and verifying WCAG 2.1 AA and ADA accessibility. 6. Are you available to provide technical recommendations, estimates, proposal materials, and review support BEFORE August 24? 7. If the proposal is successful, what weekly availability could you offer during an approximately 8–12-week implementation? 8. Are you comfortable being named in the proposal as the technical SME and proposed subcontractor? 9. Are you available to participate in a client interview or technical demonstration if requested? The prospective client’s identity is intentionally omitted from this public posting. Shortlisted candidates will receive the publicly available solicitation and additional project details.

About Action4Equity Action4Equity is a Black-led systems change organization advancing equity through community organizing, community governance, public policy, and community development. Our work spans education, health, housing, economic mobility, justice, and community well-being. We partner with residents, nonprofits, philanthropy, healthcare systems, government, and other institutions to create measurable systems change. As our organization continues to grow, we are investing in the organizational infrastructure needed to measure impact, improve decision-making, and strengthen community outcomes. This Is Not a Traditional Evaluation Role If your experience is primarily grant reporting, compliance, or program evaluation, this engagement is probably not the right fit. We are looking for an executive-level thought partner who can build the organizational systems that help leadership learn, adapt, improve, and demonstrate impact. This role sits at the intersection of executive strategy, organizational learning, performance management, evaluation, data, and systems change. Our Philosophy Action4Equity's work is grounded in Paulo Freire's Pedagogy of the Oppressed and the belief that people closest to community challenges are also closest to the solutions. We do not view residents as subjects to be studied or beneficiaries to be measured. We view them as co-creators of knowledge, co-designers of solutions, and leaders in defining what success looks like. Our approach integrates: Pedagogy of the Oppressed Community Governance Participatory Research Systems Thinking Continuous Organizational Learning Results Count® (Annie E. Casey Foundation) We already use the Results Count® framework as the foundation of our organizational performance management system. We are not looking for someone to replace that methodology. Instead, we are looking for someone who can operationalize and scale Results Count® across the organization by building the infrastructure, governance, dashboards, scorecards, reporting systems, and organizational routines necessary to make it an executive management system rather than simply a reporting framework. We believe data exists to strengthen community decision-making—not simply satisfy funders. The Opportunity We are seeking a Fractional Chief Impact Officer to build Action4Equity's enterprise performance management and organizational learning function. Working directly with our Co-CEOs and executive leadership team, you will design the systems that allow our Board, leadership, staff, and community partners to understand organizational performance and continuously improve our impact. This engagement begins with a 90-day implementation project. Our intention is to establish a long-term relationship with the right candidate. Following successful completion of the initial engagement, there is a strong opportunity to continue as Action4Equity's ongoing Fractional Chief Impact Officer, providing executive leadership for organizational performance management, organizational learning, evaluation, and data strategy. Scope of Work The selected consultant will help design and implement: Enterprise performance management framework Organization-wide KPIs Executive dashboards Board dashboards Department scorecards Results Count® implementation Organizational learning systems Evaluation framework Community well-being measurement Systems change measurement Data governance standards Grant outcome measurement framework Organizational reporting systems Quarterly performance review process Annual impact reporting AI-enabled reporting and analytics where appropriate Initial 90-Day Deliverables Days 1–30 Assess current performance management systems Review existing metrics and reporting Evaluate Results Count® implementation Identify organizational data gaps Deliver Executive Assessment with recommendations Days 31–60 Develop enterprise KPI framework Design executive dashboard Design Board dashboard Create departmental scorecards Develop standardized reporting templates Build implementation roadmap Days 61–90 Launch executive dashboards Implement organizational scorecards Establish quarterly performance review process Develop annual impact reporting framework Train executive leadership Deliver long-term roadmap for ongoing management Ideal Background We're looking for professionals who have served in roles such as: Chief Impact Officer Chief Strategy Officer Chief Performance Officer Chief Data Officer VP of Strategy VP of Organizational Effectiveness Director of Learning & Evaluation Executive Strategy Consultant Organizational Development Executive You should have experience building enterprise-wide performance management systems—not simply evaluating individual programs. Preferred Experience Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: Results Count® Results-Based Accountability (RBA) Participatory Evaluation Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) Participatory Action Research (PAR) Developmental Evaluation Organizational Learning Systems Thinking Collective Impact Community Governance Change Management Executive Dashboard Development Performance Management Systems Experience working with nonprofit organizations, philanthropy, government, healthcare systems, higher education, or community-based organizations is preferred. Deliverables By the conclusion of the initial engagement, Action4Equity expects to receive: Enterprise KPI framework Executive dashboard Board dashboard Department scorecards Enterprise performance management framework Evaluation framework Organizational learning framework Data governance recommendations Quarterly reporting process Annual impact reporting framework Executive implementation roadmap Proposal Requirements Please include: A brief summary of organizations similar to Action4Equity that you've supported. Examples of executive dashboards, performance management systems, or organizational scorecards you've designed. Your experience implementing Results Count®, Results-Based Accountability (RBA), or other performance management frameworks. Your experience with participatory evaluation, organizational learning, community governance, or systems change. An example of how your work improved executive decision-making. Your proposed approach to the first 90 days. Your estimated weekly availability. Your hourly or fixed-project rate. What Success Looks Like At the end of this engagement, Action4Equity will have an enterprise performance management and organizational learning system that integrates Results Count®, community governance, participatory learning, and executive decision-making. Leadership, staff, residents, and the Board will have timely, meaningful information that supports better decisions, continuous improvement, and measurable systems change while honoring the expertise and leadership of the communities we serve. Successful completion of this engagement is expected to transition into an ongoing fractional executive relationship leading and continuously improving this function as Action4Equity grows.

We are building a full-service, AI-native accounting firm. Clients hire us to do their accounting—not to provide them with accounting software. Our agents perform most of the repetitive production work, while our accountants own the decisions, quality, client relationships, and final outcomes. Traditional accounting firms are built as labor pyramids: large teams perform manual work, while a small number of senior accountants review it. We are building around a smaller team of exceptional accountants supported by agents. That allows us to invest far more in each accountant. We intend to compensate accountants at the same level as senior technical employees: $165,000–$215,000 in base salary upon conversion. We are not using AI to make accounting jobs cheaper. We are using it to create a more leveraged accounting role with fewer layers, broader ownership, and substantially higher compensation. THE ROLE We are hiring experienced accountants to join our accounting team through a 6–9 month contract-to-hire engagement. You will own the accounting outcomes for a portfolio of small and midsize businesses. Agents will prepare much of the underlying work. You will review that work, investigate exceptions, make accounting decisions, complete the close, communicate with clients, and take responsibility for what we deliver. This is an accounting position—not an AI-training, product, software implementation, or data-labeling role. WHAT YOU'LL OWN • The accuracy and completeness of client books • Month-end close and financial reporting • Review of agent-prepared transactions, reconciliations, schedules, workpapers, and supporting evidence • Accounting decisions involving ambiguity, materiality, timing, classification, and business context • Identification of unusual activity, unsupported balances, missing information, and financial risk • Direct communication with clients when additional context or action is required • Clear documentation of significant accounting conclusions • Final approval of work before client delivery • Consistent, on-time outcomes across your client portfolio WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE • Books are closed accurately and on time • Every material balance is supported and explainable • Problems are identified before they reach the client or year-end • Review focuses attention on risk and exceptions instead of manually repeating completed work • Clients trust both the numbers and the accountant responsible for them • Financial reporting helps clients understand what is happening in their businesses WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Two or more years of progressive accounting experience • Experience personally owning accounting engagements through close and financial reporting • Strong knowledge of accounting for U.S. businesses • Experience managing multiple clients, entities, or business units simultaneously • Sound professional judgment when the correct answer is not immediately obvious • The ability to detect issues that routine processing and checklist-based review may miss • Strong written and verbal communication with business owners • A record of taking responsibility for completed work and client outcomes A CPA, EA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred. Experience in construction and trades, nonprofits, or consulting and professional services is especially valuable. We do not select accountants based on familiarity with a particular software stack. COMPENSATION AND EMPLOYMENT • Initial engagement: 6–9 month contract-to-hire through Upwork • Contract compensation: $3,500–$5,000 recurring weekly payment, depending on experience and scope • Full-time availability expected during the contract period • Expected salary upon conversion: $165,000–$215,000 base • Long-term, full-time employee position for successful candidates • Remote • Immediate start HIRING PROCESS Application review Focused interview about accounting work you have personally owned Paid accounting case review Contract offer We are interviewing immediately and expect to make our first contract offers within a few days. HOW TO APPLY Please answer these questions: Tell us about a material issue you discovered that routine processing or a standard review had missed. How did you identify it? Describe an accounting decision you made when the available information did not point to one obvious answer. What evidence did you consider? What is your availability to interview and begin work?

We're looking for a designer. Not just someone who executes a brief, a designer who makes the work better than the brief asked for. Who we are Daydream Communications is a woman-owned agency rooted in Connecticut and reaching across the nation. We specialize in marketing campaigns for nonprofits, public health, community engagement, and mental health, creating award-winning strategy and design for organizations working to improve community health and well-being. Health and educational information has a reputation for being dry, and we work to change that: we bring the creativity of a marketing agency to campaigns built for social good. What you'll design Our work raises awareness, reduces stigma, motivates behavior change, and connects people to care. It makes hard topics easier to talk about and turns public health goals into visuals people actually stop and pay attention to. Good health design is clear without being clinical, compassionate without being vague, and credible without being boring. That's the design we need. The mix changes all the time, and that's part of the job. Depending on the week, you might be designing: Social media: graphics, templates, and scroll-stopping visuals that earn attention and keep it. Bold, clear, human. Newsletters and email: layouts where the visual hierarchy does half the work of getting a piece read. Paid ads, billboards, and out-of-home: often just a passing glance to make an impression, and every asset has to earn it. Animated graphics: short motion graphics and animated call-outs for social, digital ads, and presentations, things that add movement without needing a full video production. Campaign collateral: one-pagers, decks, end cards, logos, and more, all of which need to stay clear and credible even when the content is dense. Web and digital layouts: page and section designs for websites and landing pages. You don't need to build the site yourself (though you can if you're able), but you'll often be the one figuring out how a page should look and flow. Some assignments call for traditional, carefully vetted, on-brand educational materials. Others give you more room to surprise. Great design stands out either way — you'll need the range to do both well, and the judgment to know which is which. Designing brilliantly inside constraints is part of the craft, not an exception to it. Who you are You care about the issues. Mental health, substance use prevention, crisis services, public health: this work is about people's lives, and we want someone who finds that motivating. Design that's creative and responsible is the whole job. A designer with taste. You can tell good design from bad, and you can explain why. We value the end result more than your years of experience. We know great design when we see it, and we know what we're looking for, so whatever your years of experience, we welcome you applying. You're comfortable working within brand guidelines while still pushing a concept further, and you know how to translate someone else's copy or content into something visually alive. You know Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, and can deliver clean, organized files. You're flexible about where the work starts. Sometimes you'll get finished copy and design around it; other times you'll get a concept or a rough idea and build the visual first, which then shapes what the writer creates. Either direction is normal here, and you're comfortable working both ways. You're responsive. We don't expect you online at all hours, but we do generally expect to hear back the same day, even if it's just to say when you'll have something for us. You find this fun. You like trying out new ideas, you stay on top of design trends, and you're not afraid to set a few of your own. You welcome feedback and can also explain the thinking behind your choices. How to apply Send us: A portfolio or at least three work samples. We'd love to see work from the categories above, social graphics, ads, campaign collateral, or similar, but we're happy to look at other samples too, as long as the design had to earn attention and keep it. Show us range if you have it: something bold and something that had to play it straight. Published work, spec work, personal projects, and class projects all count if they're good. 2–3 designs that inspire you (not your own work), each with a 2–3 sentence note on why you think it's good design. We want to see how you think about design, not just what you've been asked to make. A short note (not a formal cover letter) telling us which of your samples you're proudest of and what draws you to Daydream. Your resume. Rate: $30–$50/hour, depending on experience · Hours: 5–20 hours per week, varying with project load. We cannot guarantee a certain number of hours per week.
