Florida Postsecondary Licensure Specialist: CIE Filings for a New Miami Instructional Site Corvus Education is a higher education consulting and advisory firm. We are supporting an out-of-state, SACSCOC-accredited university establishing an instructional location in Miami in partnership with a nonprofit educational foundation. We need someone in Florida who has taken applications through the Commission for Independent Education and knows how the office actually works. The work is document assembly and filing management, not legal advice. You will build and maintain the application file against Rule 6E requirements, track what each form and exhibit needs, keep a defensible record of what was submitted and when, prepare correspondence with Commission staff for our signature, and hold the institution’s internal contributors to the schedule that the Commission’s meeting calendar dictates. Application deadlines run months ahead of the meeting dates, so the calendar drives everything. What we are looking for: direct experience preparing CIE licensure applications, whether provisional, annual, or by means of accreditation, and the ability to name the filings you worked on and your role in them. Working knowledge of Chapter 1005, F.S. and Chapter 6E, F.A.C. Genuine document discipline, meaning version control, exhibit indexing, and clean records that survive review by someone who was not in the room. Direct, unhedged communication about what is missing and what is late. Useful but not required: familiarity with SACSCOC substantive change procedures for off-campus instructional sites, since the state and accreditor tracks run in parallel. Experience with contractual or partnership arrangements between an institution and an outside nonprofit. Prior work with an institution’s Program Specialist at the Commission. Please do not apply if your postsecondary regulatory experience is in another state and you plan to learn Florida on our time. To apply, describe one CIE filing you handled from start to finish. Tell us what the application was, what your specific responsibilities were, where it stalled, and how it resolved. Skip the general capabilities summary. Hourly, with an initial paid task to confirm fit before we scale hours.
