I run a legal marketing business and a couple of my clients are looking for video editing services. They're attorneys who make educational YouTube videos. I would send the video and audio files to you- probably a total of around 8 per month (4 per attorney per month).

I'm building a free speech app- think Wikipedia x WikiLeaks- the twist? The data is written permanently, un-erasable. I'm looking for a storyteller to help me create visual narratives/composts with an uplifting theme. I want to produce YouTube shorts/etc and publish them to begin raising awareness. The ideal applicant is in CA time, has some examples of good storytelling/ideation, and has explored some composting in prior work. I'm trying to breathe life into my passion project and I'm looking for something that really cares about free speech, transparency in society.

About elev8.io: elev8.io provides 360° patient acquisition solutions for behavioral health organizations, helping treatment facilities: Generate qualified leads through multi-channel marketing (elev8media: SEO, PPC, lead gen, VOB-qualified leads) Optimize their CRM and technology stack to increase efficiency (elev8tech: CTM, Salesforce, HubSpot, Kipu, alleva) Improve admissions conversion rates through proven sales strategies (elev8sales: admissions enablement and referral partner portals) About the Role The Marketing Assistant serves as Video Content Editor, and is also the engine behind elev8.io's short-form and long-form video output. This role takes raw footage from weekly shoots and turns it into platform-ready content that drives engagement and awareness across every channel we run. This role owns the connective tissue between raw production and finished content — making sure a single shoot becomes ten-plus pieces of platform-native content on a predictable weekly cadence. Success in this role is defined by consistent weekly output, fast turnaround, and a cutting style sharp enough to stand out on every platform it lands on. What You’ll Do Video Editing: Cut 8 short-form videos and 2 long-form pieces per week from provided footage. Deliver every edit within a 48-hour turnaround window. Maintain a consistent pacing, captioning, and visual standard across all edits. Content Multiplication: Adapt each shoot into platform-native versions for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X. Repurpose long-form footage into shorts, quote graphics, and additional cutdowns as needed. AI-Assisted Workflow: Use AI tools to speed up editing, captioning, and rough-cut assembly. Keep final output creative and human — no AI-slop, no generic auto-edited feel. Production Coordination: Flag footage or script gaps back to the production team before they become deadline problems. Own the full edit cycle from raw footage to final export, with minimal revision rounds. Quality & Consistency: Maintain brand-consistent formatting, captions, and pacing across every platform version. Track turnaround times and flag any risk to the weekly cadence early. What You Bring A live portfolio of your own work — YouTube channel, Instagram, LinkedIn, or client reels. No resume required. Proven short-form editing skills: pacing, hooks, captions, and platform-specific formatting for IG/FB/LinkedIn/YouTube/X. Comfort working inside a fixed weekly cadence (8 shorts + 2 long-form) with a hard 48-hour turnaround. Working fluency with AI editing tools, used to move faster — not as a substitute for creative judgment. A clear point of view on what makes content perform versus just exist. Bonus if you have experience with: Experience editing for a service-based or B2B brand, not just personal/lifestyle content. Motion graphics or light animation skills for punch-ups. Familiarity with behavioral health, healthcare, or another regulated-content space. Why Work With elev8.io Mission with Meaning: Your work supports behavioral health organizations that help people recover from addiction and mental health challenges. You are not just managing projects. You are helping keep lives on track. High-Growth Environment: Work directly with leadership in a fast-scaling company building innovative marketing, CRM, and technology solutions for behavioral healthcare organizations. Ownership Culture: elev8.io rewards people who take initiative, build systems, and operate with the discipline and accountability of a business owner

Short-Form Video Editor Needed – High-Impact Product & Fire Testing Content We are looking for an experienced short-form video editor to turn our existing long-form footage into high-quality, engaging content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and X. We are launching a new wildfire protection technology company and have a large library of professionally filmed, real-world testing footage. Our content includes: Live fire testing Extreme wind testing Water cannon demonstrations App-controlled fire suppression Mobile robotic equipment POV camera footage Behind-the-scenes product development Founder-led explanations and demonstrations This is NOT stock footage or generic promotional content. We have real testing and visually compelling footage. We need someone who knows how to turn it into short-form content that people actually stop and watch. WHAT WE NEED Initially, we want approximately 20–30 polished short-form videos, generally 15–45 seconds each. If the quality and working relationship are strong, this can become ongoing work with significantly more content. You should be able to: Identify the strongest moments from longer videos Create a powerful hook within the first 1–2 seconds Edit for viewer retention, not just appearance Create clean, professional captions and on-screen text Reframe footage properly for 9:16 vertical video Use pacing, cuts, zooms, sound design, and music appropriately Turn one piece of footage into multiple clips with different hooks or angles Understand the differences between TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts Keep the content professional and credible rather than making it feel like a cheap advertisement THE STYLE We want the content to feel: REAL. HIGH-END. DRAMATIC. CREDIBLE. TECHNOLOGY-DRIVEN. Think documentary/product-testing content rather than traditional corporate advertising. The footage should be the hero. For example, rather than starting a video with a company introduction, we may start with: “WE TESTED IT IN 40+ MPH WINDS.” “CAN YOU FIGHT A FIRE FROM YOUR PHONE?” “THIS FIRE SYSTEM IS CONTROLLED FROM AN APP.” Then immediately show the test. IMPORTANT We are looking for someone who understands storytelling and short-form performance—not simply someone who can edit video. When applying, please send: 3–5 examples of your BEST short-form work. Examples involving products, technology, testing, automotive, engineering, fire, outdoor equipment, or similarly visual subjects if available. Your price for an initial batch of 20 short-form videos. Your typical turnaround time. The editing software you use. Please begin your proposal with the words “FIRE TEST” so we know you read the entire posting. There is substantial opportunity for ongoing work for the right editor.
