We're building a new AI-powered web app for the healthcare/wellness space, and we need real people to test it on their phones in real-world situations — at home, at a coffee shop, wherever you are. For this round, we're specifically looking for people using older or budget/mid-range phones — a few years old rather than the latest flagship, including older iOS and Android versions. If your phone is a few years old, you're exactly who we need. What Counts as an "Older" Phone: We're after phones that are a few years old, or on the budget/mid-range end — not recent flagships. Some examples: iPhone: iPhone 11 or older (e.g. iPhone X, XR, XS, 11), or an older iPhone SE. iPhone 12 is borderline but still fine to apply. iPhone 13 and newer is likely too new for this round. Android: budget or mid-range models (e.g. Samsung Galaxy A-series, Motorola Moto G/E series), or older flagships from a few years back. What matters most is the OS version, not just the model — a phone that's a few years old and still running its original, older iOS or Android version is ideal. If you're not sure whether yours qualifies, apply anyway and just tell us the model and OS version — we'll let you know. What You'll Do: Receive a text message with a link to our mobile web app Open it on your phone and use the app as directed (5–10 minutes) Complete a short feedback form we send you afterward (~2 minutes) That's it. No downloads, no accounts to create — just open the link and use the app. The Scenario: Imagine you're a patient at a medical spa. You've booked an appointment, and you receive a text message with a link to complete a virtual consultation before your visit. Open the link wherever you are and go through the experience as if you were a real patient with an appointment next week. What the app does: Shows you questions on screen — you answer by tapping options Runs a quick lighting check Asks you to take 3 photos of your face All instructions appear on screen (no audio, nothing to listen to or speak) Just follow the on-screen steps and respond honestly — there are no right or wrong answers. Pay: $5 per completed test (test + feedback form) Requirements: Must be located in the United States Must use a mobile phone (iPhone or Android — not a tablet or desktop) We prefer an older or budget/mid-range phone (see "What Counts as an 'Older' Phone" above) — older iOS/Android versions are welcome and encouraged Must use Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) — not an in-app browser (e.g. not the Upwork app browser) Must have a working phone number to receive SMS Must have a working front-facing camera Must be comfortable reading English on screen Must be somewhere with decent lighting (the app runs a lighting check and asks for face photos) Must allow camera access when prompted by the app Must complete the feedback form after the test How It Works: You apply and share your phone number We'll send your test link within 24–48 hours of acceptance You open the link on your phone and complete the session We send a feedback form link — fill it out Payment is released after the completed test + form Note: Your session is recorded so we can improve the app — no personal data is shared publicly. To Apply: Please include in your proposal: Confirm you're in the US Your phone type (iPhone / Android), model, and OS version if you know it Roughly how old the phone is (or the year you got it) Your phone number (for SMS delivery) Confirm you can take the test somewhere with decent lighting Your general availability over the next 2 weeks
