Happy Friday! We are a full service marketing agency who uses freelance talent. We are looking to add another proofreader/editor. We have things from short press releases to longer blogs to full length books. We typically pay $1.25 per page (varies slightly by the project). Today, we have press release that needs proofed. This is ongoing work. You will need to sign an Ethics Agreement before beginning (it is a simple one page agreement with things like keep confidential information confidential). Thanks! Kim

When Proofreading becomes a Treasure Hunt, money is made! This proofreading job is a real treasure hunt. The base pay is 5$ to find typos in a chapter between 3,500 and 5,500 words. For each error found in the text, 10¢ is added as a bonus, so a proofreader can make as much money as there are legitimate errors found and noted in red ink in the hard copy (no digital copy will be provided). Proofreaders who show exceptional skill at discerning the most invisible of typos will be privileged to take on additional chapters on upcoming projects in the future. Proofreaders will be provided with a checklist to assist in methodically hunting for potential errors. Note also that finding 80% of typos is a requirement for job fulfillment, not an option. Finding 95% of errors will add an extra 5$ bonus on top of the 10¢ per error found Treasure Hunt Maximal Pay Formula is: 5$+5$+10¢X=______ $ Requirements are access to an unabridged dictionary, an ability to cull at least 90% of all typos, and lastly, an interest in fantastical literature. If you can handle these basics for being an effective proofreader, send us a note.

**Proofreader/Copy Editor Needed – Accounting Firm Web Pages (Short Project)** **Overview** I have 28 web pages of copy for a CPA firm website that need a light but sharp human edit. The content is already written and has passed AI detection — this is NOT an AI writing job. I need a skilled human editor to review and tighten it. **What needs to be done:** - Check that headlines and intro paragraphs are congruent (the headline promises what the intro delivers) - Fix any awkward or robotic-sounding sentences - Break up run-ons and tighten rambling phrasing - Smooth transitions where the writing shifts tone or feels choppy - Light grammar/punctuation cleanup as needed - Flag anything that sounds off-brand for a small-town CPA firm (warm, trustworthy, straightforward tone) **What this is NOT:** - Do not rewrite entire sections - Do not run content through AI tools — this copy must remain human-written - Do not change the factual content or structure **Deliverable** Return the edited copy in the same format you receive it (Google Doc or Word). Use Track Changes or highlight your edits so I can review and accept/reject. **Ideal Candidate** - Strong editorial instincts, not just grammar checking - Experience editing web copy or marketing content - Understands conversational but professional tone - Fast turnaround

**Job Opportunity: Document Formatting and Proofreading Specialist** I have a document that consists of 8137 words, 31 sections, 1 appendix, 24 figures, and 4 tables. I need to have all of these combined into one Word file with page numbers, a table of contents, list of figures, and list of tables. There is also a title page. Some formatting will be necessary. I want a professional final document. I use Word 2016, so your version of Word must be compatible. I also want 6 hard copies printed in color (only the pages that have figures). Your color printer must be high quality. The final length might be about 120 pages because of formatting and figures. I will pay extra for the paper and postage.

We have an anthology of biographies of American women that is pretty much done but needs final editing and proofreading. There are a few selections to add to the text and then each individual essay should read, edited, and proofread. I'm looking for someone tedious and meticulous.

I have written my first book. A chronicle of a smalltown HS basketball season, the impact it had on the individuals involved and the community around it. All of the content is complete but I want to ensure all grammar, punctuation, consistency are correct before I send the doc to my formatter. I've read my own work so many times it is easy to overlook or miss things. Is this a project of interest? It's roughly 150 pages (6x9 paperback) and reads fairly quickly. Looking forward to communicating with you! Here is a link to the sizzle reel for the story... https://vimeo.com/1184573216?fl=pl&fe=sh
