About The Consortium The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management (CGSM) is a mission-driven community that connects prospective MBA students, member schools, alumni, and corporate partners to expand access and opportunity in graduate management education. We recruit and support talented applicants, collaborate closely with our member schools, and convene the community through our Orientation Program and year-round recruitment and engagement events. Our work is student-centered, operationally rigorous, and deeply mission-aligned—focused on delivering a high-quality candidate experience while helping our member schools build strong, diverse incoming classes. About the Project We are looking for an experienced WordPress/Elementor Web Designer/Developer to improve the mobile and structural experience of our existing website. The site is already built in WordPress using Elementor. This is not a redesign or rebuild. We need someone who can assess the existing site, identify usability issues, and make structural improvements while maintaining the current design and functionality. A key priority is improving the mobile experience. Scope of Work The project will focus on optimizing the existing website across mobile, tablet and desktop; improving mobile navigation and menu functionality. The selected freelancer will also improve navigation, page hierarchy and user pathways, ensuring key content and calls to action are easy to find and use. All updates should maintain the existing brand and visual design. The freelancer will test updates across devices, resolve layout and functionality issues, and flag any larger technical issues that fall outside the project scope. Required Experience The ideal candidate has strong WordPress and Elementor experience, with a demonstrated history of improving existing websites for mobile and responsive design. Experience with structural website updates, responsive web design, navigation and usability is required, along with working knowledge of HTML/CSS. Strong attention to detail, independent problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical recommendations are important for this project. Preferred Experience Experience working with nonprofit, higher education, association or mission-driven organizations is preferred, as is experience with websites serving multiple audiences. Familiarity with accessibility, SEO, website audits, UX improvements and WordPress troubleshooting is also a plus. Project Details This is a one-time, project-based engagement. The selected freelancer will review the existing website, identify the necessary improvements and implement the agreed-upon updates. We are looking for someone who can work efficiently within the existing WordPress/Elementor environment rather than recommending a full redesign. How to Apply Please include 3–5 relevant WordPress/Elementor examples, particularly projects involving responsive or structural improvements. Please also describe one WordPress/Elementor project where you improved the mobile or responsive experience and what you changed. In your proposal, please include your hourly rate and/or estimated project cost, estimated timeline, and a brief description of how you would approach assessing and improving our existing website. Finally, please include a brief statement explaining why The Consortium's mission resonates with you and how your experience aligns with our work.

I created a custom Wordpress plugin with the help of Chat. It is a job board plus individual job pages that uses an API to send and receive data through my Applicant Tracking System. You can see it here: https://baptistsearchpartners.com/jobs/ . It is live and is the highest trafficked page on my site. It also powers a drop down job application in a custom page for different clients seen here: https://baptistsearchpartners.com/largechurchleadsample/ (scroll to bottom and "Click here to apply") I'm 90% satisfied with it, but I need someone to "look under the hood" to get me across the finish line. 1. Submission of applications takes 12+ seconds. I did code the submit button to give a message for the user to be patient while it submits the application. Still, it's way too long. I'd love to figure out why and resolve the submission time. 2. We get applicants every day that submit it just fine, but I have had a few in the last two weeks email me that they received errors. Could there be a caching issue or some problem that just doesn't work right very occasionally? I can give more details about error messages and browsers later. 3. I would love to be able to track page view stats for each job page. Neither Jetpack or Google seems to be picking up the individual job pages even though they have a unique URL (like https://baptistsearchpartners.com/jobs/?bsp_job_id=51) 4. There is a small issue with the Experience and Educations sections and the currently working buttons that cause users problems if they enter them in a certain way. It's easy to figure out how to fix when you are going through it, but it's annoying. 5. You cannot submit files from cloud services. 6. The Large Church Lead sample where the application shows up in a dropdown is not showing all of the application fields (personal information, file uploads, and custom questions). It did at first, but that seems to have gone away. 7. I'd love suggestions for any other UX improvements. I do have a "Test Job" set up in my ATS that can be a sandbox for it all, but a live job can be used as a test as well.
