**Job Title: Part-Time Social Media Coordinator for Mental Health Practice** We are seeking a reliable, thoughtful social media coordinator to maintain the Facebook and Instagram presence of an established mental health practice and its related educational brands. This is an ongoing, part-time independent contractor position requiring approximately 15–20 hours per month. We already have active social media accounts, established branding, existing content, and an extensive library of material that can be repurposed. We are not looking for an expensive marketing campaign or a complete rebrand. We need someone who can keep our pages active, professional, warm, and consistent. Our work focuses on trauma recovery, toxic family relationships, boundaries, emotional regulation, and mental health education. Because of the subject matter, the right person must write with sensitivity and good judgment. Content should be compassionate and accessible without becoming overly clinical, sentimental, or gimmicky. **Responsibilities** * Create and schedule consistent posts for several Facebook pages and Instagram * Repurpose existing blogs, book excerpts, educational content, clinician information, and practice announcements * Write clear, engaging captions that reflect our established voice * Create simple, professional graphics using Canva and existing brand materials * Maintain a manageable content calendar * Review posts for spelling, grammar, accuracy, and appropriate tone * Monitor routine comments and messages and alert practice staff when a response is needed * Provide a brief monthly report showing posts completed, reach, engagement, clicks, and notable inquiries * Maintain strict confidentiality and follow all instructions related to mental health privacy and professional boundaries The contractor will not provide clinical advice, respond independently to sensitive messages, or access client records. Any message involving a clinical concern, complaint, appointment request, or possible crisis must be forwarded to designated practice staff. **Qualifications** * Demonstrated experience managing Facebook and Instagram business accounts * Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills * Experience with Canva and Meta Business Suite * Ability to follow established branding and maintain a consistent voice * Reliable communication and ability to work independently * Good judgment when handling sensitive mental health topics * Familiarity with mental health, wellness, healthcare, coaching, or professional-service businesses is strongly preferred * Excellent command of written American English **Hours and Budget** Approximately 15–20 hours per month on an ongoing basis. Expected budget: $350–$400 per month, depending on experience, proposed workload, and demonstrated ability. We prefer an individual freelancer who is interested in a stable, ongoing working relationship. We are not seeking a large agency or an elaborate marketing package. **To Apply** Please include: 1. A brief description of your social media management experience. 2. Links or samples showing Facebook or Instagram content you have created. 3. Any experience you have with mental health, healthcare, trauma-informed, educational, or other sensitive subject matter. 4. The number of posts you recommend each week for this budget. 5. The tools you use for scheduling, graphic creation, and reporting. 6. Your proposed monthly rate and the number of hours or deliverables it includes. Please begin your proposal with the words **“Steady and thoughtful”** so we know you have read the complete posting. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to prepare one sample caption based on material we provide. We will not request an unpaid social media campaign or multiple pieces of free work.

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves being in the comments. You'd be the voice of our brand across Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and TikTok — replying to every comment and DM, keeping response times fast and coverage consistent across all four platforms, and making people feel seen. Our voice is warm, upbeat, and a little sunny, and we need someone who can carry that consistently, at volume, all day. To be clear about what this is: it's not a strategy or content-creation role. It's hands-on, in-the-feed engagement work, and we're looking for someone who finds that energizing rather than tedious. Half the job is reactive and half of it is proactive. Beyond responding to everything that comes to us, you'd be actively hunting for the conversations we need to be part of — Reddit threads where people are debating around our industry, creator comment sections, Facebook groups, TikTok duets and replies, competitor and category discussions — and showing up in them as a genuine participant rather than an ad. Over time that means building real relationships with the people and communities who already care about what we're building. Along the way you'd flag customer issues, PR risks, and recurring questions to the right person internally, and track what you're seeing so we know what people love, what confuses them, and what they keep asking for. The right person has real experience running community engagement or social for a brand, whether agency or in-house, and writes fast and well — funny, kind, and on-brand in two sentences. You have sharp judgment about when to engage, when to escalate, and when to stay quiet, and you're fluent in the native norms of all four platforms, especially Reddit, where the wrong tone gets a brand shut down in an afternoon. We'd also love for you to be a genuine user of AI tools yourself — not to write your replies for you, but to clear the busywork so more of your day goes into the part only a person can do: the judgment, the humor, and the read on what someone actually needs in that moment. Comfort with high daily comment volume and reliable availability during full-time business hours are both essential. Familiarity with AI, consumer tech, or the communities around them is a real plus, as is a healthy skepticism about AI hype — a lot of our best conversations start with someone who isn't sold yet. Above all, we want joy and sunshine in every reply. If your instinct in a comment section is to make someone's day slightly better, you'll do well here. To apply, send us a short note about why this role appeals to you along with three to five examples of comment replies you've written for a brand — screenshots are perfect. Preferably based in New York City.

FieldCommerce makes field service management software for small trades shops: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, handyman, lawn care, landscaping, roofing, etc. Scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, payments, and QuickBooks sync, without the bloated pricing and pushy sales tactics the big names in this space are known for. Self-serve signup, 30-day free trial, no credit card. The role Shop owners don't browse ads. They ask each other for advice in Facebook groups, sub-Reddits, and forums. We need someone who is already part of that world, or has lived close to it, to spend a few hours a week participating in those communities as themselves. You'll answer questions, share what worked at shops you've been around, and be a genuinely useful member of these communities. When someone is frustrated with their current software or actively shopping for something new, and the group's rules allow recommendations, you'll share your honest take on FieldCommerce, with a clear note that you work with us. What you'll actually do - Spend time in a short list of Facebook groups and subreddits we curate together (trades business owner groups, field service software discussions) - Answer questions and join conversations where you have something real to add - Watch for owners complaining about their current field service software or asking what else is out there, and reply with genuinely helpful advice - Our tooling surfaces promising threads and drafts starting points for you each week, so you're never staring at a blank page; you rewrite everything in your own voice - Keep a simple weekly log of where you posted and any owners who showed real interest You're a fit if - You've worked in or around a trades business: office manager, dispatcher, CSR, bookkeeper, or you ran or grew up in a shop - You have an established personal Facebook account and you're comfortable in Facebook groups; Reddit experience is a plus - You write like a person, not a press release - You're reliable with a few hours a week on your own schedule Ground rules we take seriously - Every group's rules get followed, every time. No spam, ever. - When you mention FieldCommerce, you say you work with us. Always. We will never ask you to hide the connection. - Being helpful comes first. If we're not the right fit for someone's shop, say so.
