Freelance Social Media & Content Specialist Honey Bunny Baby (Independent Contractor / Part-Time Retainer) About Honey Bunny Baby Honey Bunny Baby creates ultra-soft, GOTS-certified organic cotton baby blankets designed for real everyday use — swaddling, nursing, stroller rides, tummy time, and endless cuddles. We focus on purity, safety, and simplicity: no harsh chemicals, ethical production, and a give-back model (one blanket donated for every 10 sold). We’re a small, founder-led brand based in Minnesota, USA. We’re looking for a reliable freelance partner who can help us show up consistently and authentically online. The Role We're hiring a freelance social media and content specialist to own day-to-day content creation, posting, and light community management on our primary platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok). You'll create engaging content, plan posting schedules, monitor performance, and help improve audience engagement. The ideal freelancer can turn ideas into compelling posts, keep content fresh and consistent, and support ongoing social media efforts with a strong eye for quality and strategy. You will work closely with the founder, who retains final brand voice and strategic direction. Core Responsibilities Create and schedule content that feels warm, mom-to-mom, educational, and on-brand. Write captions that highlight product benefits (GOTS certification, softness, multipurpose use, chemical-free) in a natural, non-salesy way. Produce or source simple graphics and short-form video (Reels/Stories) using tools such as Canva, CapCut, or similar. Manage a content calendar and maintain consistent posting cadence. Engage with comments and DMs in a timely, friendly, brand-aligned way. Provide a simple monthly performance summary (what worked, engagement highlights, recommendations). Suggest content ideas grounded in real parent life and product education. Expected Deliverables (example monthly package) 12–20 feed posts + supporting Stories/Reels Content calendar for the month Captions + hashtags + basic visual assets Community engagement during agreed hours Brief monthly report Exact volume and platforms can be adjusted based on the agreed package. Ideal Candidate Experience managing social media for small consumer brands (baby, kids, organic, clean living, or lifestyle preferred). Strong writing voice that feels warm, clear, and trustworthy — not corporate or overly trendy. Comfortable creating or editing simple short-form video and graphics. Understanding of (or willingness to quickly learn) organic/clean product messaging and GOTS basics. Reliable communicator who works well with a solo founder and respects feedback cycles. Able to work independently while staying aligned with brand guidelines. Engagement Details Independent contractor / part-time retainer (not an employee role) Typical starting range for this level of work: $700–1,400/month depending on scope and experience Begin with a paid trial project (sample content calendar + several posts) before committing to a monthly retainer. Flexible remote work; overlap with Central Time preferred for communication. How to Apply Please send: A short note about why this role interests you and any relevant experience with baby, organic, or lifestyle brands Links to 2–3 social accounts you’ve managed (or portfolio examples) Your typical monthly package rate or hourly rate for similar work Availability for a short call and a paid trial We’re looking for someone who can help us show the softness, purity, and everyday usefulness of our blankets in a way that feels genuine to other parents. If that sounds like work you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you!
