Senior Instructional Designer, E-Learning Developer, and Technical Training Video Producer Project: LMI Service Electrician Qualification and Development Program Lighting Maintenance Inc. is seeking an experienced instructional designer and e-learning developer to help create a comprehensive training and qualification program for our service electricians. This is not a request for a generic online course, a basic safety presentation, or simple video editing. We need someone who can take existing technical content, operating standards, employee evaluations, raw field video, photographs, procedures, and subject-matter-expert input and turn them into professional, practical, mobile-friendly training for field employees. The completed training will be delivered and tracked through the MITER Learning platform. The Type of Professional We Are Looking For The ideal contractor is a senior instructional designer or learning-experience developer who also has strong multimedia and technical video-production capabilities. The contractor should be able to: Design competency-based workforce training. Organize complex technical material into clear learning modules. Work with electricians, managers, safety personnel, and other subject-matter experts. Develop e-learning courses, assessments, job aids, and practical-evaluation tools. Edit raw field footage into professional training videos. Develop narration and voiceover. Add instructional graphics, diagrams, animation, labels, callouts, captions, and visual explanations. Package and implement training in an LMS. Help configure learning paths, certifications, assignments, completion rules, and reporting inside MITER. Deliver all editable source files so LMI can maintain the training internally. One individual may perform all of this work, or the applicant may lead a small production team. Any subcontracting must be disclosed in the proposal. About LMI Lighting Maintenance Inc. is an established electrical contractor specializing in: Roadway and street lighting. Commercial and industrial lighting. Electrical service and troubleshooting. Sports lighting. Traffic signals. Exterior and parking-lot lighting. Aerial and bucket-truck work. High-mast lighting. Underground electrical systems. Related electrical infrastructure and field services. Our employees work in real field conditions, often independently, using service vehicles, aerial equipment, test instruments, electrical controls, and specialized equipment. The training must reflect the practical reality of field service work. Project Purpose LMI is developing a formal Service Electrician Qualification and Development Program. The program must help us determine: What an electrician already knows. What the electrician can actually demonstrate in the field. What specific training gaps must be addressed. When the electrician is qualified to work independently. What vehicles, equipment, and work assignments the electrician is authorized to receive. What restrictions remain until additional training or verification is completed. This is a competency-based qualification program. Watching a video or passing a quiz will not, by itself, qualify an employee. The training must connect online learning with written assessment, practical demonstration, supervised field performance, evaluator approval, and final management authorization. Existing Program Materials LMI has already developed substantial source material, including: A detailed service-technician evaluation. A 150-item competency and qualification matrix. Qualification levels. Mandatory safety and performance gates. Core curriculum-module outlines. Written assessment concepts. Practical evaluation stations. Supervised service-call requirements. Customer-communication standards. Documentation standards. Vehicle and equipment requirements. Employee authorization and restriction criteria. Draft lesson content, scripts, scenarios, questions, and training material developed with AI assistance. Internal electrical, safety, fleet, service, and management subject-matter experts. The contractor will not be starting with a blank page. The contractor’s responsibility will be to convert these materials into a consistent, professional, effective, and manageable training system. Core Curriculum Modules The initial program is expected to contain the following ten modules: The LMI Service Standard. Dispatch, Scheduling, and Daily Preparation. Timekeeping and Productive Use of the Day. Service Vehicle and Take-Home Vehicle Responsibility. Electrical Safety and Field Judgment. The LMI Troubleshooting Process. Lighting and Electrical Systems. Customer Communication and Customer Experience. Documentation and Work-Order Closeout. Productivity, Profitability, and Quality. Additional qualification or endorsement tracks may later be created for: Bucket-truck operation. Digger-derrick operation. CDL Class A and Class B. Traffic-signal work. Sports-lighting work. Underground fault locating. High-mast work. Traffic-control setup. Apprentice or helper supervision. Emergency and after-hours response. Take-home vehicle authorization. Senior troubleshooter or mentor. Technical evaluator. Training Formats The program may include: Short mobile-friendly e-learning lessons. Instructor-led training. Field demonstrations. Professionally edited training videos. Voiceover and narration. Photographs and technical diagrams. Animation and motion graphics. Knowledge checks. Final written assessments. Practical skills checklists. Manager and evaluator observation forms. Employee job aids. Field-reference guides. Scenario-based exercises. Supervised service-call evaluations. Remedial training assignments. Certification and requalification records. The contractor should recommend the most appropriate format for each subject rather than forcing every topic into the same type of course. Raw Field Video and Multimedia Production LMI will provide raw video recorded in the field. The footage may show: Electrical troubleshooting. Lighting repairs. Controls and contactors. Photocells and time clocks. Meter use. Pole bases and handholes. Bucket-truck work. Vehicle inspections. Safety practices. Customer-service procedures. Documentation procedures. Specific field techniques. Correct and incorrect methods. The raw footage may not be professionally recorded. The contractor will be responsible for converting usable footage into clear, professional training material. Responsibilities will include: Reviewing and organizing footage. Selecting the strongest usable sections. Removing unnecessary, unclear, repetitive, or unusable footage. Editing demonstrations into concise and logical sequences. Improving pacing, audio quality, and visual clarity. Developing or refining narration scripts. Providing professional voiceover or coordinating approved voice talent. Adding titles, captions, labels, arrows, callouts, freeze frames, zooms, and highlights. Creating graphics, diagrams, illustrations, or animation where the raw video does not fully explain the concept. Adding closed captions and transcripts. Protecting customer names, locations, license plates, employee information, and other sensitive material when required. Preparing content for mobile delivery through MITER. Creating shorter field-reference clips when appropriate. Providing LMI with all editable video-project files and production assets. When existing footage is insufficient, the contractor must provide clear filming instructions to LMI, including: Required camera angles. Close-up shots. Wide shots. Demonstration sequence. Required lighting and audio. Talking points. Narration requirements. Safety considerations. Additional photographs or graphics needed. The final product should not consist of long, unedited videos showing employees working. Each training segment must clearly explain: What task is being performed. Why the task is being performed. How each step should be completed. What hazards must be controlled. What common mistakes should be avoided. What acceptable performance looks like. How the employee’s competence will be evaluated. MITER Learning Platform Implementation The training will be delivered and tracked through MITER. The contractor should be able to assist LMI with: Course setup. Custom learning content. SCORM or other compatible course packaging where appropriate. Learning-path configuration. Assignment by job role or employee level. Course prerequisites. Quiz and assessment setup. Instructor-led training records. Practical training records. Completion requirements. Certification tracking. Expiration and renewal dates. Manager reporting. Training reminders. Remedial training. 30-day and 90-day follow-up reviews. Administrator training. Testing the employee mobile experience. Direct experience with MITER is preferred but not mandatory. Applicants with strong LMS experience who are willing to work directly with MITER support will be considered. Initial Paid Pilot The initial engagement will be a fixed-price pilot. The pilot module will be: The LMI Troubleshooting Process This module will teach a repeatable process for diagnosing electrical and lighting service problems rather than randomly replacing parts. The pilot may include scenarios such as: One failed parking-lot fixture. Multiple fixtures out on one circuit. Photocell failure. Time-clock failure. Contactor or control-circuit failure. LED driver failure. Loose or damaged connections. Neutral problems. Water intrusion. Pole-base damage. Underground circuit problems. Incorrect replacement-component selection. Pilot Deliverables The pilot should include: Final learning objectives. Recommended lesson structure. Detailed course outline. Course storyboard. Mobile-friendly e-learning content. Instructor or narration scripts. At least one professionally edited field-training video. Voiceover integrated into the finished video. Supporting technical graphics and visual callouts. Knowledge checks. Final written assessment. Answer key and scoring requirements. Practical demonstration checklist. Supervisor or technical-evaluator observation form. Employee field-reference job aid. Remediation requirements for failed competencies. MITER-ready files or course package. Assistance uploading and testing the course in MITER. Written instructions for maintaining and updating the course. All editable source files. All video-editing project files. Separate graphics, audio, scripts, captions, and production assets. Recommendations for improving future LMI field video. Required Experience Applicants should have demonstrated experience in: Instructional design. Adult learning. Corporate or workforce training. Competency-based training. E-learning development. Practical skills assessment. Mobile learning. LMS implementation. Technical writing. Working with subject-matter experts. Video editing. Voiceover-based instruction. Technical graphics and diagrams. Scenario-based learning. Course testing and quality control. Experience with any of the following is strongly preferred: Electrical contracting. Construction. Skilled trades. Utilities. Industrial maintenance. Field service. Fleet operations. Equipment operation. Occupational safety. Manufacturing. Technical certification programs. Applicants do not need to be licensed electricians. However, they must be comfortable working with detailed electrical and field-service subject matter and accepting technical direction from LMI. Preferred Authoring and Production Tools Experience with the following or comparable tools is preferred: Articulate Rise 360. Articulate Storyline 360. Adobe Captivate. Camtasia. Adobe Premiere Pro. Adobe After Effects. DaVinci Resolve. Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Photoshop. Vyond. Canva. SCORM course-development tools. Professional audio and captioning tools. Applicants should explain which tools they recommend and why. Technical and Compliance Approval The contractor will not have final authority to approve: Electrical procedures. Safety requirements. OSHA interpretations. Legal or regulatory statements. Wage-and-hour policies. Vehicle policies. Employee qualification decisions. LMI operating standards. All technical, safety, legal, HR, and operating content must be reviewed and approved by LMI’s designated personnel before publication. The contractor must have an organized process for obtaining and documenting those approvals. Ownership and Confidentiality All materials created under this engagement will become the property of Lighting Maintenance Inc. upon payment. This includes: Drafts. Final courses. Scripts. Storyboards. Graphics. Illustrations. Animations. Assessments. Answer keys. Templates. Voiceover files. Audio files. Video project files. Source files. SCORM packages. MITER-ready files. Job aids. Practical evaluation forms. Production assets. The contractor may not reuse or publish LMI procedures, photographs, video, customer information, employee information, or proprietary training content without written approval. A confidentiality agreement may be required. Application Instructions Please begin your proposal with the words: LMI Qualification Program Proposals that do not begin with those words may not be reviewed. Please provide: A brief description of your relevant experience. Two or three examples of comparable technical, industrial, construction, or workforce-training projects. Examples of e-learning courses you personally developed. Examples of training videos created from raw field or operational footage. Examples showing voiceover, instructional graphics, callouts, diagrams, animation, or technical explanations. A description of your competency-based training experience. A description of your practical skills-assessment experience. The authoring, video, audio, graphics, and LMS tools you use. Your experience with SCORM and LMS implementation. Any experience with MITER. Any experience in construction, electrical work, utilities, skilled trades, safety, fleet, or field service. Your proposed approach to the troubleshooting pilot. Your proposed fixed price for the pilot. Your estimated schedule for completing the pilot. Your estimated budget range for developing the remaining nine modules. Identification of any work you intend to subcontract. An explanation of how you obtain technical approval from subject-matter experts. An explanation of how you distinguish course completion from demonstrated field competence. Screening Question Please answer the following question in your proposal: A customer reports that several parking-lot lights are out. Explain how you would divide this topic among: Online instruction. Field video. Graphics or diagrams. Written assessment. Practical demonstration. Supervised field observation. Final employee qualification. We are looking for an applicant who understands that watching a video and passing a quiz do not prove that an electrician can safely and independently troubleshoot the problem. Selection Process Shortlisted applicants may be asked to: Participate in a video interview. Review a limited sample of LMI’s existing material. Explain how they would convert a technical competency into a complete training and evaluation process. Develop a brief paid storyboard or sample. Meet with an LMI technical subject-matter expert. Demonstrate prior e-learning, LMS, and video-production work. Explain how they would organize and maintain the complete training library. Engagement Structure The initial engagement will be awarded as a fixed-price pilot with defined milestones. Potential milestones include: Review of source material. Learning objectives and recommended design. Course outline and storyboard. Draft script and video plan. First course draft. Technical and safety review. Video editing and multimedia production. Assessment and practical evaluation development. MITER upload and testing. Final revisions. Delivery of all source files. Administrator handoff. We are looking for a talented **2D Motion Designer / Limited Animator** to help develop the next visual style for an established short-form horror channel. Our videos are approximately 60–75 seconds long and are published primarily on TikTok and YouTube Shorts. I have attached one of our existing videos as a reference. This video represents our current visual style and also includes our upgraded professional music and sound design. We are **not looking to completely replace the current identity**. Instead, we want to evolve it into a darker, more atmospheric and more polished 2D style. A major part of the new direction will be: * Strong shading * Dramatic use of light and darkness * Silhouettes * Deep shadows * Negative space * Atmospheric environments * Better depth and perspective * Subtle movement throughout scenes We especially like the **mood, contrast, silhouettes, and atmospheric shading found in games such as LIMBO**, but we are not looking to copy another game's art style. The final look should remain original and recognizable as our own brand. ### The Animation Style We are **not looking for expensive full frame-by-frame animation**. We are interested in limited 2D animation and motion design where specific elements of a scene move. Examples could include: * A character slowly turning their head * Someone walking through a hallway * A door opening or closing * A shadow moving in the background * A phone screen lighting up * Curtains moving * Lights flickering * A hand reaching toward an object * Slow camera push-ins * Parallax between foreground and background * Subtle character movement Some scenes may involve more movement than others. The goal is for the video to constantly feel visually alive without becoming overly complicated or cartoon-like. ### How Our Workflow Would Work We handle the concept, writing, voiceover, editing, captions, music, and sound design. For each video, you would receive: * The completed script * The final voiceover for timing and pacing * Scene direction * Existing character/style references * Examples of previous videos * Additional creative direction when necessary Your responsibility would be to turn the script into the illustrated and animated visual scenes. We will assemble the final video ourselves in CapCut. ### Deliverables For each video, we would ideally receive: * Individual numbered animated scenes * 1080 × 1920 vertical format * MP4 format * Approximately 30 fps * No captions * No narration * No music or sound effects baked into the clips * Static PNG/JPG artwork when appropriate For example: Scene_01.mp4 Scene_02.mp4 Scene_03.png Scene_04.mp4 This allows us to assemble and adjust the final pacing ourselves. Editable/source files such as After Effects, Photoshop, or Illustrator files are a plus, particularly if we begin developing reusable characters, environments, and visual assets together, but they are not required for the initial paid test. ### Opening Video Footage Our videos will often begin with a short real-video or realistic-video hook before transitioning into the illustrated/animated portion. We will generally handle this opening separately unless we specifically discuss otherwise. Your primary responsibility will be the illustrated and animated portion of the video. ### What We Care About Most We are looking for someone who is particularly strong at: * 2D illustration * Shading * Lighting * Atmospheric composition * Limited character animation * Motion graphics * Visual storytelling * Horror or suspense atmosphere We care more about **strong composition, shading, and atmosphere** than extremely complex animation. A simple scene with excellent lighting and subtle movement is much more valuable to us than a heavily animated scene that does not fit the brand. ### Paid Test This job begins with a **$200 paid test**. The purpose of the test is to find someone who could potentially become a long-term visual collaborator for the channel. If the test is successful, we currently expect to produce approximately **10–13 videos per month**. For ongoing production, we are targeting approximately **$150–$200 per completed video**, depending on the quality, complexity, workflow, and amount of reusable artwork we are able to develop together. We understand that pricing may evolve based on the final workflow and are interested in hearing how you would approach the project. ### When Applying Please send: 1. Your strongest 2D illustration work 2. Examples of 2D animation or motion design 3. Work demonstrating strong shading, shadows, or atmospheric lighting 4. Any dark, suspenseful, cinematic, horror, or game-inspired artwork 5. Examples of character animation if available 6. The software you normally use 7. Your typical price for this type of 60–75 second project 8. Your estimated turnaround time 9. Whether you would be interested in ongoing work of approximately 10–13 videos per month Please begin your proposal with **DON'T PANIC** so we know you read the entire description. We are especially interested in finding someone who can help us develop a consistent visual system over time rather than simply completing one isolated animation project.

Remote (US) | $600–$1,200/month DOE | Independent Contractor (1099) | Part-Time, Flexible Schedule ABOUT THE BRAND We're about to launch a brand-new wellness brand, and we're looking for the right freelancer to help build its social presence at an early, high-momentum stage. The product is a brain health supplement formulated by a PhD neuroscientist, paired with simple daily practices for calm, focus, emotional balance, and long-term brain health—all built on the idea that you shouldn't have to overhaul your life or become a different person to feel more capable in it. We're looking for someone who gets genuinely excited about that—not a social media generalist looking for another client, but someone who's already living and breathing the wellness space, who can hear a founder's raw idea or read his notes and think, "I know exactly how to make that click for someone scrolling at 11pm." If you want to help shape the voice and system behind a brand this well-developed, from as close to day one as it gets, this is that opportunity. THE ROLE We’re looking for a Social Media Manager that can be the strategic social media expert, copywriter, and brand voice for the brand on social media. Your core mission is to build a high-converting, sustainable content engine that translates complex, PhD-backed neuroscience concepts into engaging, human, clear social content—driving viral views, increased brand awareness, email signups, and brand growth while keeping direct founder involvement down to a couple of hours per week. WHAT YOU'LL DO Strategy & Content Calendar: Plan and manage the monthly social content calendar across Instagram, Stories, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn. Founder Direction & Shot Lists: You're the social media brain here—the founder is the expert, but you're the one who thinks in content. Take his raw ideas, voice memos, and scientific insights (plus what you're seeing work for competitors and in our own performance data) and turn them into clear content concepts, hooks, and structured weekly shot lists that tell him exactly what to film and why. Copywriting & SEO: Write high-converting hooks, video text overlays, captions, and search-optimized hashtags tailored for health/wellness audiences. Community Management & Engagement: Serve as the active, human voice of the brand in comments and DMs, fostering high-quality engagement and audience connection (~2–3 hrs/week, on your own schedule). Content Data Analysis: Analyze monthly performance data to refine strategy and share learnings with the founder and content creator. Async Workspace Communication: Communicate seamlessly with the founder and team via Slack. SCOPE & DELIVERABLES Monthly content calendar plan: concepts for 20 posts/month, primarily for Instagram, with a light plan for adapting each for TikTok and YouTube Shorts - Shot lists/direction for the founder (talking head or b-roll) - Creative direction for the content creator on bringing concepts to life Weekly copy: captions, scripts, text overlays, hashtags for 5 IG posts, 3 LinkedIn adaptations, 3–5 Stories Light daily/weekly community management and proactive niche outreach Monthly performance report with actionable next steps WHO YOU ARE You don't just execute—you’re a strategic thinker. If a post isn't landing or an idea isn't quite right, you'll say so. We'd rather have someone with a point of view that will push back when things don’t feel right for social, than someone who just wants to be told what to do. We’re seeking a social expert here that enjoys driving that ship. You know the wellness space—you live it yourself, or you've worked deeply in it, and you get why this mission matters, not just how to run a content calendar for it. You're a hook wizard. You know how to capture attention without being clickbaity, and you write warm, expert, non-preachy copy that converts. You know how to build trust, not just buzz. In a space like this, credibility comes from evidence and expertise, not hype—you know how to fold in the founder's scientific background and third-party proof in a way that builds real trust over time. You love social SEO & analytics—you know what gets seen, what earns saves/shares over vanity reach, and how to turn performance data into a repeatable playbook. You're a pro at translating expertise into content—when a founder talks, your brain already knows how to turn that into a strong hook and a scroll-stopping post. You're comfortable jumping in creatively when needed—beyond strategy and copy, you're capable of putting together content yourself (editing video or creating graphics from brand templates in Canva) if the moment calls for it. If you’re comfortable being on camera or shooting simple b-roll (a coffee ritual, a wellness moment) too, and have work samples to show your chops here, this is a big plus, though not required. You're familiar with regulatory considerations for wellness/supplement claims and/or can learn, and be sure to follow the rules, without the founder having to remind you every time. You operate independently once you're ramped up. We’ll onboard you into the science, voice, and vision. You will have a robust strategy to drive your work—from there, you run your own calendar without needing to be managed day to day. You operate as a registered business entity (LLC, Corporation, or registered Sole Proprietorship) with a valid business license where required, and/or hold an EIN. WHEN APPLYING, PLEASE INCLUDE: 1. A link to view your portfolio, website, or live links to published posts you personally executed (with notes on what your role was in creating each post), including examples of social copy/scripts you've written, and (optional) a content calendar or campaign plan you've built. 2. Your proposed monthly project rate for the monthly deliverables listed in the contract opportunity description above.
