We're transforming how people access healthcare by making high-quality care simple, transparent, and affordable through nationwide virtual care, transparent pricing, affordable pharmacy solutions, and an AI-powered healthcare platform. Following our successful launch, we're expanding our platform, strengthening our provider ecosystem, and adding new services and capabilities. We're looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and building reliable healthcare technology that serves real people every day. Your Opportunity We're seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to work directly with our Senior Tech Lead and CEO. This is a development-first role. You'll spend the majority of your time designing, building, integrating, troubleshooting, and improving the ProviderNow platform. You'll own meaningful technical initiatives from design through deployment while partnering closely with our Senior Tech Lead to build secure, scalable, and maintainable software. We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving difficult engineering problems, and shipping high-quality code quickly. Design, build, and own integrations with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, provider networks, pharmacy partners, payment platforms, and other third-party APIs. Ensure healthcare and application data is transmitted, processed, and stored securely. Build secure, scalable REST APIs and backend services. Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions. Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and well-documented code. Participate in architecture discussions and contribute practical engineering recommendations. Collaborate closely with the Senior Tech Lead on feature planning, code reviews, and technical execution. Experience working with queues, asynchronous processing, scheduled jobs, and background workers. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A bias toward action with a passion for shipping high-quality, production-ready software. We’re looking for engineers who enjoy owning features from design through deployment, not developers who simply complete assigned tickets. Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Healthcare technology Electronic Health Record (EHR) integrations FHIR or HL7 standards Microsoft Azure Payment gateway integrations HIPAA-compliant applications CI/CD pipelines Distributed or event-driven systems High-availability web applications What Success Looks Like Within your first six months, you'll: Become a trusted engineering partner to the Senior Tech Lead. Successfully deliver key platform enhancements and third-party integrations. Improve the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of the ProviderNow platform. Help accelerate development velocity through thoughtful engineering and high-quality code. Take ownership of major technical features from design through deployment. Help strengthen the technical foundation that supports ProviderNow's continued growth. Opportunity for Growth As ProviderNow continues to scale, this role offers the opportunity to take on increasing technical ownership and grow alongside a rapidly expanding healthcare technology company. We're committed to promoting high performers and providing opportunities for long-term growth as our engineering organization expands. Why Join ProviderNow? You'll help build technology that genuinely improves access to healthcare while solving challenging engineering problems involving healthcare integrations, secure APIs, cloud infrastructure, and scalable software systems. You'll work directly with experienced leadership in a fast-moving startup where your ideas matter, your contributions are visible, and your work reaches production quickly. Build polished, performance-conscious React/TypeScript UI for map-driven workflows: 3D entity rendering, real-time status, modal-driven dispatch, complex form ergonomics. Own the UX of multi-step operator flows end-to-end — visual hierarchy, loading/error states, keyboard, accessibility, edge cases. Collaborate on AI-driven features: integrating Claude Agent SDK tool flows, designing prompts and MCP tools, surfacing agent actions and audit logs in the UI. Occasional Python work on FastAPI services when frontend changes need backend hooks. Must-haves 5+ years shipping production React apps with TypeScript. Heavy day-to-day AI tooling — Cursor / Claude / agentic workflows. You move fast with AI, refactor with it, and reason about prompts and tool design (not just autocompletes). Strong UI/UX intuition. You see a Figma or sketch and can ship something that feels right; you push back when the design hurts the user. Works independently and takes initiative — you scope your own work, surface unknowns early, and ship without hand-holding. Detail-oriented — you sweat the loading states, the empty states, the off-by-ones, and the cases everyone else forgot about. Comfort with styled-components, modern hooks, Redux (or equivalent), and careful state design in long-lived single-page apps. Nice-to-haves CesiumJS, Leaflet, Mapbox, or Three.js — anything map / 3D. Python (FastAPI + Postgres) for working across the stack. Experience designing or consuming MCP servers, or building tool-using agents. Real-time / streaming UI experience (SSE, WebSockets, telemetry). A few hard truths before you apply AI is a tool, not a substitute for engineering. We use Cursor and Claude every day, but you still need to understand the code AI produces, debug it when it breaks, and explain trade-offs and decisions when asked. If AI is your only path to a working PR — and you can't defend the PR once it lands — this won't be a fit. You'll inherit complexity. This is a real codebase with history. You'll spend time reading before you write. The bar for "done" is high. "It works on my machine" doesn't ship. We care about edge cases, accessibility, regressions, and the ten things the user might do that you didn't think of. Generic AI-generated cover letters get instant rejection. We can tell. So can the next reviewer.

We are a fast-growing telecom / AI-First CPaaS serving sms and voice API's. We are building the first AI-first communications platform (SMS, Voice, RCS, AI agents) designed for speed, simplicity, and real-world business outcomes. We are not looking for a “task completer.” We are looking for a true senior engineer who: thinks in systems moves fast makes decisions independently writes clean, scalable code uses AI tools (Claude, etc.) as a force multiplier ⚠️ Read This First *DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE PRETENDING TO BE IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY. PROOF OF RESIDENCY IS REQUIRED. Most applicants will not be a fit. If you need: detailed tickets hand-holding constant direction This is NOT the role for you. If you are the type of engineer who: sees a problem and solves it end-to-end improves architecture without being asked ships quickly without sacrificing quality You will thrive here. What You’ll Do Build and ship full-stack features across our platform (messaging, voice, AI workflows) Make architectural decisions (not just implement) Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability Work directly with founders (no PM layers) Move from idea → production very quickly What We Expect (Non-Negotiable) 5+ years real full-stack experience (not just titles) Strong backend experience (Node.js / APIs / infra) Strong frontend experience (React or similar) Experience building production systems at scale Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction High ownership mentality Bonus (but highly valuable) Experience with telecom / CPaaS / messaging Experience with AI integrations (LLMs, agents, workflows) Experience optimizing performance at scale Startup experience (especially early-stage or fast growth) How We Work Small, high-output team Very fast iteration cycles No unnecessary meetings High trust, high expectations We use AI tools heavily (Claude, etc.) — you should too What We Care About Most Not your resume. We care about: How you think How you build How fast you execute The quality of your code To Apply Please include: Links to projects you’ve built (real production work) A short explanation of: a system you designed end-to-end a difficult technical decision you made independently Your GitHub Optional (but strong signal): Share how you use AI (Claude, etc.) in your workflow Compensation Competitive (based on experience) Long-term opportunity with a fast-growing, profitable company If you are truly senior, this will feel obvious. If not, this role will be very uncomfortable. **THIS IS A FT, HOURLY ROLE. PROVIDE YOUR REQUESTED HOURLY RATE IN PROPOSAL**
