I am an independent romance author seeking an experienced freelance social media manager and short-form video editor to support the growing Francesca Frost author brand and my novel, The Crypto King’s Muse. The brand is sophisticated, cinematic, emotionally charged, romantic, and visually cohesive—combining themes of luxury, fashion, cryptocurrency, danger, desire, grief, transformation, and unforgettable love. This will begin as a one-month hourly trial, with the potential to become an ongoing part-time position. Independent freelancers only, please—no agencies. The Role The position has three primary components: 1. Weekly Social Media Management Prepare and publish approximately three posts per week, primarily on Instagram and TikTok. I create the concepts, imagery, captions, and much of the core content. You will be responsible for turning those materials into polished, platform-ready posts, including: Editing and formatting Reels, carousels, and short-form videos Adding specific or approved music and audio clips Creating transitions, pacing, text overlays, and platform-appropriate variations Scheduling and publishing content Adapting posts appropriately for Instagram and TikTok rather than simply duplicating them Maintaining a consistent visual identity, voice, and emotional tone 2. Audiobook Release Campaign Help plan and execute a coordinated social media campaign for the upcoming audiobook release of The Crypto King’s Muse. The campaign will include: Audiobook announcement and launch buildup Narrator reveals Character-focused teasers Strategically selected audiobook excerpts Release countdown and launch content Post-release content that continues to showcase the narrators, chemistry, themes, and world of the novel I am looking for someone who can help shape these assets into a cohesive campaign—not simply post isolated promotional clips. 3. Book Trailer Content Strategy Professionally produced video book trailers are also planned. You will help determine how to use them effectively across social media by creating and scheduling: Full trailer releases Shortened edits and teaser clips Character- or theme-specific excerpts Stills, text-led posts, and carousel content derived from the trailers A rollout strategy that extends the life of each trailer without becoming repetitive Ideal Experience and Skills Demonstrated experience managing Instagram and TikTok accounts Strong short-form video editing skills using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, or similar tools Experience editing music, spoken-word audio, captions, and text overlays An excellent eye for pacing, typography, visual storytelling, and brand consistency Ability to follow an established creative direction without imposing generic templates or trends that do not suit the brand Knowledge of platform-native audio, music use, hashtags, scheduling, and current best practices Organized, dependable, communicative, and comfortable working through an approval process Experience with authors, books, audiobooks, entertainment, romance, fashion, or luxury brands is strongly preferred Initial Trial Deliverables During the one-month trial, I anticipate: Approximately three completed and published posts per week A simple monthly content calendar An initial audiobook campaign outline Recommendations for repurposing book trailer content A brief weekly performance summary with practical recommendations Consistent communication and reliable turnaround times To Apply Please include: Links to three relevant examples of social media content you personally edited or managed, including at least one Reel or TikTok. A brief explanation of your role in creating each example. Your initial ideas for building anticipation around an audiobook narrator reveal. The software you use, your time zone, current availability, hourly rate, and estimated weekly hours for this scope. Please also confirm that you are applying as an individual freelancer and not through an agency. Pilot Structure We expect to begin with a short pilot that may include: A fixed project or advisory fee Milestones tied to qualified, attended conversations The potential for a longer-term advisory, referral, or business-development relationship if the pilot is successful Compensation will be agreed upon before the project begins and structured through Upwork. Please Answer These Questions Which VMware products did you sell, support, implement, or advise customers on? What was your role, and how long did you work in the VMware ecosystem? Which customer titles and departments did you work with most frequently? In which industries and geographic markets do you retain active relationships? Are you comfortable facilitating introductions to current or former Aria/vRealize customers when there is a relevant use case? How would you define a qualified customer introduction? Please describe one example—without sharing confidential information—of an enterprise VMware automation challenge you encountered. TikTok & Instagram Reels | September 1–November 6, 2026 About VoteMate VoteMate is a free, nonpartisan AI ballot assistant that helps people understand everything and everyone on their ballot—without ever telling them how to vote. More than 40,000 people have already used VoteMate, and we’re preparing to reach many more voters during the 2026 election season. This is a part-time, short-term project with a modest stipend, so we’ll work together to set a realistic posting schedule and scope. Strong creative instincts, reliability, and genuine enthusiasm for the mission matter most. Being comfortable appearing on camera is helpful, but not required. Compensation and Timing This is a stipend-based independent contractor project running from September 1 through November 6, 2026. We are a small nonprofit with a limited budget, and we want to be transparent about that upfront. We’ll agree on a reasonable scope and posting cadence based on the stipend. How to Apply Please send us: A short note about yourself and why VoteMate interests you A few examples of TikToks, Reels, or other short-form content you’ve created Your availability between September 1 and November 6 Your stipend expectations, if applicable Bonus: Tell us one TikTok or Reel idea you would be excited to try for VoteMate. Penrose is seeking a highly experienced Senior Growth Consultant specializing in Google Ads and SEO for residential and commercial service businesses. This is a senior, strategy-first role: you will oversee growth strategy, diagnose higher-level performance issues, and direct Penrose team members on execution. For the right person, the engagement is designed to convert into a full-time leadership position. The role demands tremendous sector-specific expertise—someone who has managed large-scale budgets in residential and commercial services and knows the space cold. A candid note on the bar: Our clients are private equity firms and independent sponsors, and this role interacts with them directly. You'll be expected to defend strategy to investors, speak in revenue and EBITDA rather than clicks and impressions, and hold your own in rooms with former Bain and Morgan Stanley operators. We say this respectfully: this is not a role for campaign managers or channel specialists looking to level up. It's for proven senior operators who already perform at this level and want a platform that matches their ambition. If that's you, we'd love to talk. About Penrose Penrose is a next-generation consulting firm rapidly becoming the go-to growth partner for private equity firms and independent sponsors investing in residential and commercial services. Clients hire us to oversee multiple levers of growth—strategy, operations, and execution—making us a true growth and operational partner, not just another agency. The results speak for themselves: over $80MM in additional revenue generated for clients, directly contributing to several portfolio companies going up for sale. Penrose is led by Morgan Stanley, Bain & Company, and Bain Capital alumni and operates with the rigor PE investors expect. With strong demand and a robust pipeline, we're looking for exceptional talent ready to grow with us. The Role 1. Own growth strategy for client accounts—set direction, priorities, and standards rather than day-to-day execution. 2. Diagnose higher-level issues: perform root-cause analyses on underperforming campaigns and design corrective strategies. 3. Direct and mentor Penrose team members, establishing workflows and accountability so execution matches your strategic vision. 4. Strategize and optimize high-budget campaigns ($30K+/month) across Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn with a focus on ROI. 5. Apply advanced on-page and off-page SEO expertise; guide GoHighLevel automations and tech integrations. 6. Ensure campaign maintenance disciplines are in place (bid adjustments, negative keywords, creative refreshes, A/B testing). 7. Develop sector-specific strategies for home services (HVAC, GC, plumbing, etc.) and high-value e-commerce. 8. Monitor the full funnel—not just on-platform metrics—including offline conversion tracking, call/lead tracking, and downstream automations, so reported performance reflects real revenue. Hiring process: As an initial test, you will audit a live Google Ads account and its full funnel—including dashboards, automations and conversion tracking. An offer will be extended based on the quality of that audit. Path to full-time: Consultants who demonstrate quality and strategic impact will be invited to join Penrose full-time in a senior leadership capacity. Qualifications 1. Tremendous sector-specific expertise in residential/commercial services and/or luxury/high-ticket e-commerce. 2. 5+ years hands-on in paid advertising with a proven track record managing $30K+/month budgets. 3. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and correct underperforming campaigns through deep analysis. 4. Experience monitoring the full funnel—offline conversions, tracking infrastructure, and automations—not just on-platform performance. 5. Strong leadership skills with experience directing teams; detail-oriented and process-driven. Comfortable with Asana, ClickUp, or similar; a self-starter who works independently and proactively improves processes. Additional Details Hours: 10–20 hours/month initially; available during U.S. business hours. Ability to increase to full-time based on skill-level Location: Remote (must demonstrate accountability and timely delivery). Growth path: Full-time senior role for strong performers, with significant advancement and salary growth.

I am the founder of Director’s Desk, an early-stage web platform designed for K–12 music and performing-arts programs. The platform helps directors manage communications, rosters, payments, forms, practice logs, student skill progression, parent access, and other program operations in one system. The application is already functional and being tested with multiple school organizations. It was developed using React, TypeScript, Supabase, and an AI-assisted development workflow. I am not looking for someone to rebuild the application from scratch. I am looking for a practical UI/UX designer who can review the current product, identify the highest-impact usability and visual-design issues, and establish a cleaner, more consistent design direction. I also need help planning and designing the public-facing website for mydirectorsdesk.com. This is an early-stage, budget-conscious project. I value thoughtful, realistic recommendations over elaborate agency-style presentations. Initial project scope The first phase should include: Review the existing application through a fictional demo organization. Evaluate the experience from the perspectives of directors, parents, and students. Identify confusing navigation, inconsistent layouts, unclear terminology, accessibility concerns, mobile/responsive problems, and areas where the interface feels cluttered. Produce a prioritized written audit separating: Critical usability problems Quick improvements Longer-term design recommendations Redesign three to five representative screens in Figma to demonstrate the recommended direction. Establish basic reusable design guidance for: Typography Colors Buttons and forms Cards and tables Navigation Spacing Empty, loading, and error states Recommend the structure and content hierarchy for the public Director’s Desk website. Create a Figma design for the website homepage or primary landing page. The public website should communicate what Director’s Desk does, who it serves, its major benefits, and how interested directors or schools can request a demonstration. It should feel trustworthy, modern, welcoming, and appropriate for educators and school districts—not like a generic technology startup. Possible second phase If the first phase goes well, I may hire the same freelancer to: Design additional application screens Create additional website pages Build the responsive public website Help refine the product’s visual design system Review changes after they have been implemented The second phase would be scoped and priced separately. Important constraints The initial review will use fictional demonstration data, not identifiable student records. Please do not propose rebuilding the platform in another framework. Recommendations should work with the existing React application. I am looking for improvements that can be implemented incrementally. No production access or changes will be provided during the initial audit. All Figma source files and completed design assets must be transferred to me. Please do not make unsupported compliance or security claims in website copy. Ideal candidate You may be a good fit if you have experience with: SaaS dashboards or administrative platforms Education technology Complex applications with multiple user roles Responsive web and mobile design Figma and reusable component systems Simplifying cluttered or feature-heavy interfaces Designing conversion-focused marketing websites Working collaboratively with nontechnical founders Experience with React or Tailwind CSS is helpful but not required for the first phase. Budget and timeline For the initial audit and design-direction phase, my target budget is $300–$500 fixed price. Please explain exactly what you can deliver within that range. I am open to adjusting the number of redesigned screens to keep the scope realistic. My preferred timeline is approximately one to two weeks. When applying Please include: Two or three relevant examples of SaaS dashboards, education platforms, or complex web applications you have designed. One example showing how you improved an existing product rather than designing a new product from scratch. A brief description of what you would examine first when reviewing Director’s Desk. The specific deliverables you would provide for the proposed budget. Whether you can also build the public website after the design is approved. Your estimated timeline. Please begin your proposal with the words “Director workflow” so I know you read the entire posting.

Established NYC education company (17 years, featured in national press) selling books via Shopify seeks a paid media specialist to build and manage Meta and Google campaigns, September through January. Our buyers are NYC parents of children ages 2-6, heavily active on Facebook and Instagram. Meta scope (co-primary): build custom audiences from our substantial customer email list, create NYC-metro lookalikes, geo/parent-targeted prospecting, and retargeting of site visitors — creative assets and a strong seasonal news hook provided. Google scope (co-primary): high-intent search campaigns for our test-prep and admissions books, including competitor/conquest keyword campaigns targeting searches for older legacy titles in our category, plus branded search. You must set up and verify conversion tracking (Shopify, GA4, Meta pixel/CAPI, Google Ads) before any spend. Monthly budget starts at $1,000-1,500 with room to scale on demonstrated ROAS. Requirements: you personally manage the accounts (no teams/agencies), campaigns run in OUR Meta Business Manager and Google Ads accounts with partner access only, and you can show at least one Shopify or e-commerce account you've managed with actual ROAS results. We measure success only by tracked conversions and ROAS, never impressions, reach, or engagement. Screening questions: (1) How would you structure and size a lookalike audience from a 10,000+ customer list for a NYC-metro product? (2) In 3-4 sentences, how would you run a conquest search campaign targeting a competing book title, including the trademark rules that apply?
