We have an AI-based security app that has not yet been deployed to the App Store or Google Play. As this is a security-related app, our goal is to achieve the highest level of security by conducting thorough testing on various devices and minimizing errors as much as possible prior to launch. The app undergoes a five-step security process, and each security level has already been developed by expert technicians within our in-house team. Therefore, testers must not be general testers but possess general knowledge of mobile, AI, and security, and must use these specialized skills to accurately identify errors and missing scopes. Depending on the extent to which errors are identified, you may have the opportunity to collaborate with the team on the project. We are looking for talented individuals.

1. Full Codebase & Architecture Review Audit the existing frontend/backend for structural issues, security gaps, and technical debt Identify anything that won't hold up under real user load or won't scale cleanly Recommend (and implement) a clear path to production-grade architecture 2. Claude API Integration Review Review how the app calls the Anthropic API (Claude Sonnet/Opus) — prompt structure, error handling, rate limiting, cost management, streaming vs. non-streaming, and data handling Ensure API keys, credentials, and user data are handled securely (no client-side exposure, proper env/secrets management) Flag any inefficient or costly usage patterns 3. UI/UX Design Pass Professional visual design pass — this is a B2B tool for project managers and subcontractors, so it needs to look credible and trustworthy, not like a prototype Clean up layout, typography, spacing, responsiveness (desktop-first, but must work on tablet/mobile in the field) Improve core user flows: onboarding, document upload/processing, submittal generation/review, account/billing 4. Scalability & Infrastructure Recommend and help implement proper hosting/deployment setup (CI/CD, staging vs. production environments) Database review — schema design, indexing, query performance Set up monitoring, logging, and error tracking (e.g., Sentry or similar) Ensure the app can handle concurrent users and larger file uploads (construction PDFs, drawing sets, multi-sheet submittals) 5. Security & Compliance Basics Authentication/authorization review Data isolation between customer accounts (multi-tenancy) Basic security hardening (OWASP top 10, input validation, file upload safety) 6. Launch Readiness Get the app to a state where it can be confidently demoed to prospective customers and onboarded without breaking Documentation of what was changed and why, plus a punch list of anything deferred

This could include: -Implementing recommended UX and product improvements -Developing and shipping new features -Testing and measuring changes -Continuing to analyze user behavior and app performance -Working with our outside marketing firm to connect acquisition data with in-app behavior -Managing app releases and production issues -Addressing technical debt and platform upgrades -Helping develop a product and technology roadmap Technical Environment - HiveDrive is currently built with: Mobile: React Native 0.71, TypeScript, React Navigation, NativeBase, OneSignal, Mixpanel, Socket.IO, React Native Maps, Google Places, Branch and other supporting libraries. Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Traefik, cert-manager, GitHub Container Registry and PM2. Integrations: Twilio, OneSignal, ImageKit, Google APIs, Mailchimp and transactional email. The codebase is currently in production, with approximately 17,000 lines in the mobile app and 9,500 lines in the API. There is some technical debt, including an older React Native version and limited test coverage. Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate combines engineering ability with strong product and UX thinking. You should have: -Strong production React Native experience, including shipping an app to the App Store and/or Google Play -Strong TypeScript experience -Node.js/NestJS and MongoDB experience -Experience working with mobile app analytics and user behavior -Strong understanding of onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention -Ability to evaluate an existing codebase and identify technical issues and opportunities -Comfort with Xcode, CocoaPods, Gradle, and mobile release processes -Ability to work independently and take ownership of an inherited production application -Strong problem-solving and product instincts -Ability to distinguish between a quick fix and a larger technical rewrite -Experience working with startups or directly with founders is a plus You don't need to be an expert in every technology listed above for the initial audit. However, the ability to ultimately take ownership of the technology stack is an important consideration for the potential ongoing engagement. To apply please send: -Examples of relevant mobile apps you have built and shipped -Your technical background and technology stack -Examples of UX, product, or growth optimization work -Experience analyzing app data and user behavior -Experience taking over or working with an existing production codebase -A brief description of how you would approach an audit of HiveDrive We are particularly interested in people who can look beyond the code and help us answer a fundamental question: How do we make HiveDrive easier to use, more valuable to families, and a product people use repeatedly?
