Here is my summary and comments regarding what is needed for salesforce and breadwinner to have what is needed with the Buyer Account, Specifier Account, Related Lists, and the Purchased (Invoiced) and Specified Sales aggregate fields. Need to make the 2nd company custom field (Specifier Account) that I created and added in Opportunities directly relate to the Opportunity. In other words if Project Dynamics is the “Account” (buyer) and Design 360 is the “Specifier Account”, BOTH of these accounts should have a “Related List” in their Account page showing all of the Opportunities that they are associated with. Currently only the “Account” (buyer) has the Opportunity shown in their related lists. Design 360 does not have the LaSalle Hotel, Milo Hotel nor the Peak Hotel Opportunities shown in their Account page, because all of those are only shown on the Buyer’s account pages. Once #1 is accomplished, every Breadwinner INVOICE must be associated with BOTH ACCOUNTS, the Buyer AND the specifier. And when that is accomplished then both accounts should have a Related List of every invoice they are associated with on their Account page. On the Buyer Page this Related List should be called “PURCHASED INVOICES” and on the Specifier Account this list should be called “SPECIFIED INVOICES”. Once this is all done, we then want every account to have an aggregate value of all the invoices that they have purchased to be displayed in the Breadwinner Field on the Account Page called “Total Amount Invoiced”. This is already working now with Breadwinner. At the beginning of having salesforce I had added and extra field called Purchased Sales which can probably be removed now. We also want the every account to have an aggregate value of all the invoices that they have specified to be displayed in our Custom Field which is called “Specified Sales”. Keep in mind that there is some “double dipping” going on with this. The Specifier Account will have the same invoices aggregating in the “Specified Sales” field and the Buyer account will have the values aggregated in the Purchase Sales field. We do not want the specifier to have the values aggregate in the Breadwinner fields, unless they are also the purchaser. In the case whether the Buyer and Specifier are the same company like when Atwater purchased a model room or some canvas wraps, those invoice would appear twice on their account page; once under “Purchased Invoices” and again under “Specified Invoices” as well as in the Breadwinner Total Amount Invoiced field and the Specified Sales field. Since our Pipeline is based on Opportunity Values there is not real conflict involved in our Pipeline or “sales figures”. Hope this covers everything and makes sense. I think it may be possible that a salesforce Opportunity can NOT be associated with more than one account without a major amount of custom programming, or maybe not at all. If that is the case then this can all be accomplished by getting the invoices to be associated with both the Buyer and Specifier accounts. I have a feeling that both Salesforce Breadwinner will both need to be customized to do what we are looking for.
