We are seeking a hands-on growth marketing operator to personally build, launch, manage, test, and optimize paid customer acquisition campaigns. This is not a marketing strategy, fractional CMO, or agency account-management assignment. We need a practitioner who works directly inside the advertising, analytics, and testing platforms and is accountable for execution and learning. The Business Challenge We are preparing to launch a rebranding of our pet care brand, focused on skin wellness. Under our legacy brand, paid acquisition tests generated traffic but did not achieve acceptable economics, primarily because conversion rates were too low, though CPC was only average. We want to test Google Search and Meta advertising while improving the landing-page experience in parallel, rather than treating media and conversion as separate workstreams. The purpose of this engagement is to determine whether one or more paid acquisition paths can produce customer economics that justify additional investment and scaling. Our expectation is for a 3-month test with planned media spend of approximately $3,000-$5,000 per month across test campaigns. Responsibilities: -Access and audit the existing Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion-tracking setup. -Build campaign structures, ad groups, audiences, keyword lists, exclusions, budgets, bidding approaches, and naming conventions. -Write, load, and test search ad copy. Develop Meta campaign concepts and translate them into clear creative briefs or simple test assets. -Launch and manage Google Search and Meta campaigns directly. Monitor spend, search terms, placements, audiences, frequency, conversion quality, and acquisition cost. -Make routine in-platform optimizations, including bids, budgets, targeting, match types, negatives, ads, audiences, and campaign allocation. -Validate that events, pixels, UTMs, attribution, and ecommerce conversions are being captured accurately before drawing conclusions. -Review landing pages, session recordings, funnel data, and checkout behavior to identify conversion friction. -Develop prioritized CRO hypotheses and work with our internal website team to implement practical landing-page tests. -Maintain a concise test log showing the hypothesis, change, result, learning, and next action. -Provide short, decision-focused updates and a final recommendation on what to scale, revise, retest, or stop. Required Experience -Demonstrated hands-on ownership of Google Search campaigns and Meta campaigns for ecommerce or direct-to-consumer brands. -Experience diagnosing low conversion rates and improving landing-page or funnel performance, not just acquiring traffic. -Working knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversion tracking, Meta Pixel and Conversions API concepts, and ecommerce measurement. -Ability to write and test direct-response ad copy and convert insights into usable creative or landing-page briefs. -Comfort operating with a modest test budget where prioritization and disciplined experimentation matter. -Ability to explain results in plain English and distinguish signal from noise. Preferred Background Experience with pet care or personal skincare, consumer wellness, supplements or another claims-sensitive pet or consumer category is preferred. Familiarity with regulated or science-led marketing is helpful, but hands-on campaign and CRO skill is more important than category credentials.

You'll lead strategy while remaining deeply involved in execution, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Content, and Performance Marketing to ensure SEO is embedded throughout the business. Beyond traditional search, you'll help shape the future of organic growth by driving initiatives around AI-powered search experiences, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Google's AI Overviews. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strategy, solving complex technical SEO challenges, mentoring teammates, and operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where execution matters just as much as vision. Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid) What You'll Do • Own the SEO strategy and roadmap from planning through execution, balancing short-, medium-, and long-term initiatives. • Develop scalable SEO programs that drive sustainable growth across traffic, revenue, and customer acquisition. • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Content, and Performance Marketing to embed SEO into product development and marketing initiatives. • Lead technical SEO initiatives, including site architecture, crawl optimization, internal linking, structured data, and technical audits. • Develop and execute content strategies informed by keyword research, search intent, and evolving consumer behavior. • Drive both on-page and off-page optimization, including authority-building and backlink strategies. • Measure SEO performance using multi-touch attribution models and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM). • Lead initiatives focused on optimizing visibility across AI-driven search experiences, including LLMs and AI Overviews. • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve SEO workflows and scalability. • Monitor algorithm updates, search trends, and emerging technologies. • Mentor and collaborate with a Junior SEO Strategist while remaining hands-on in execution. We're looking for a senior full-stack developer with a strong security background to extend and harden a large, mature application. You'll navigate an existing codebase with real history and real constraints, implement security controls, optimize performance, and keep the system scalable and reliable. You should have deep, self-earned coding fundamentals and know how to use AI as a force multiplier. This is not a role for developers who depend on AI to write code they couldn't write themselves. You should be able to reason through a large legacy codebase unaided — your engineering foundation is what separates AI producing noise from AI producing shippable work. About the Role The stack is TypeScript end to end: a Next.js frontend and AWS-backed services. AI tooling is a deliberate part of the workflow — generating implementation plans, stress-testing those plans against our architecture and business requirements, reviewing generated code for correctness, and shipping with confidence. When AI hits the limits of a complex legacy system, and it will, you're the one who knows how to guide it through. What You'll Do Own the full lifecycle of AI-assisted development: draft plans, pressure-test them against real architectural constraints, and validate that generated code is production-worthy Ensure solutions respect existing codebase structure, clean architecture principles, and layered design patterns Validate that all code — generated or hand-written — ships with appropriate unit and end-to-end tests and thoughtful edge case coverage Apply and enforce security best practices aligned to the NIST Special Publication series on federal security controls: access control, audit logging, system integrity, and secure configuration management across frontend and backend Act as a rapid-response resource for user-facing issues — diagnose, prototype, and deploy fixes fast when production is on the line What We're Looking For Five or more years of proven TypeScript development, with a body of work predating widespread AI coding tools — you know the language, not just the prompts Deep proficiency in React and Next.js Strong working knowledge of AWS (Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, IAM, and similar) The ability to critically read generated code and catch architectural drift, security gaps, and subtle logic errors the model won't flag itself Familiarity with the NIST federal security control framework or comparable standards, and the judgment to translate controls into practical engineering decisions Comfort using AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot, and similar) as a development partner, with the depth to steer them in unfamiliar or complex codebases Strong debugging instincts and the ability to move fast under pressure without cutting corners on security or quality Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field Nice to Have Mobile platform experience (iOS/Android), infrastructure-as-code, or CI/CD pipeline work. Familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC Type II, or other compliance regimes that map to the NIST control catalog.
