I am looking for a talented illustrator and layout designer to create a cohesive, fully illustrated custom Camping Journal while providing native files in addition to pdf files at milestones. The project involves designing a series of functional journal pages (logbooks, checklists, review pages, and custom trackers) that maintain a highly consistent visual language from cover to cover. The files needs to be laid out as print ready booklet to include: side-by-side, double sided, and in-order like a standard booklet layout ready for print. For example, the first page and the last page should be side-by-side. I have a clear concept and layout mockups ready (attached). Your job will be to take these structured layouts and bring them to life with professional, high-quality illustrations and polished typographic formatting, ensuring the design theme matches perfectly across all pages. Visual Style & Aesthetic Requirements The journal must strictly follow a warm, rustic, and organic "scrapbook meets field guide" aesthetic. Key elements include: Illustration Style: Soft, detailed watercolor-and-ink or finely detailed colored pencil/warm sketchy illustrations (similar to the natural, earthy tones seen in the reference files). Linework: Clean but organic, stylized black ink outlines for icons and headers. Color Palette: Muted, nature-inspired tones—earthy greens, warm tans, soft browns, and rustic wood/leather accents. Backgrounds & Textures: The pages should look like real textured paper (lined notebook paper, grid/graph paper, and aged canvas/parchment backgrounds) layered with realistic faux-textures like "washi tape," metallic paper clips, and stitched leather/canvas borders. Typography: Clean, highly legible handwritten-style sans-serif fonts for form fields/labels, paired with bold, rustic block letters or banner-enclosed script for main section headers. Scope of Work You will be responsible for designing and illustrating approximately 14 pages (using a mock-up I provide) of unique template layouts based on my concepts, including: Welcome / Belongs To Page: Canvas/leather texture block with custom fields, compass/lantern accents, and canvas grommet detailing. Camping Log / Setup & Surroundings: Page featuring a prominent tent illustration, structured prompts for arrival essentials, and campfire notes. Campground Checklist & Hookups: Multi-column log with custom checkbox icons and RV/hookup spot illustrations. Experience & Journal Review: Grid-backed pages featuring wildlife illustrations (deer, bear, owl), rating stars, weather icons, and restaurant note blocks. Family/Personal Activity Tracker: Custom individual breakdown blocks with specific header banners and personalized icon spotlights. Travel Tracker Map Pages: Illustrated regional maps (e.g., South-Central US) designed seamlessly into a log format. Mock-up pages are included. Note: You must ensure that repeated icons (bears, owls, tents, campfires, lanterns) maintain a perfectly matched line weight, coloring style, and scale throughout the entire book. Deliverables Initial style scape/concept sketch of 1 page to lock in the illustration style. High-resolution, print-ready pages (300 DPI, CMYK with appropriate bleeds). Organized, layered source files (Pdf or Photoshop .psd). Full commercial rights for printing and distribution. Application Requirements When applying, please provide: A link to your portfolio highlighting watercolor illustrations, journal/stationary design, or detailed icon work. A brief note explaining your experience with creating multi-page layouts that require strict style consistency. Your estimated timeline for a project of this scope. I would also like to hop on a brief call to go over the project and answer any questions.

Parting Stone is a New Mexico- based company that transforms cremated remains into a new form. We're developing a limited-edition merch line rooted in our day-to-day work and the landscape around us, and we're looking for an illustrator to bring the design to life. The concept is a naturalist field-guide catalog — 21 objects drawn from our daily process at the warehouse and the surrounding New Mexico landscape. Think fine-line ink illustration, and archival grid layout. We have a rough AI-generated mockup that communicates the direction, but we'd like the project brought to life by an artist. The final design will be potentially be used on apparel, a canvas tote, or a variety of other objects, so we will need someone who can create this as a scalable vector image. What we're looking for: — Strong fine-line or pen-and-ink illustration style — Comfortable working within an established concept and layout — Experience with Southwest flora, fauna, or naturalist subject matter is a plus — Ability to deliver print-ready files — Open to feedback and revision rounds Project scope: — Review existing mockup and brief — Illustrate 21 catalog objects in a cohesive style — Deliver final files suitable for apparel and product printing To apply, please share your portfolio and a brief note about why this project interests you. Familiarity with New Mexico or the Southwest is welcome but not required.

Retro Pretzels is a brand-new cottage food business based in Ventura, CA, specializing in traditional Philly-style soft pretzels. I'm looking for a mascot character to use on a banner for pop-up events and on paper flyers. The character's name is Salty. He has a Philly-style soft pretzel for a head, and should be illustrated in full color, in the retro style of classic fast-food mascots — think old McDonald's characters or the Burger King Kids Club lineup from the '80s/'90s. He should have a flamboyant, high-energy personality with a bold pose and expressive features. Color palette: red, white, blue and black (apart from the pretzel, of course). A Liberty Bell should appear somewhere in the image as a nod to Philadelphia. His name, "Salty," should appear below the character. I also need the tagline "Retro Pretzels – A Taste of Philly in the Heart of Ventura" hand-lettered in a custom, cartoony font that matches the tone and style of the mascot — same retro, playful energy. The goal is for this character to grab attention by evoking nostalgia for retro fast-food mascots, while appealing to kids and families at outdoor events. Deliverables: High-res vector files (AI/EPS) and transparent PNGs of the mascot, the same for the lettered tagline, plus one combined layout with both together. Separate files so I have flexibility to arrange them differently across banners vs. flyers. This must be original, hand-illustrated artwork — no AI-generated designs (Midjourney, DALL-E, etc.). Please include examples of your own hand-drawn or vector illustration work in your proposal. All rights to the final artwork, including the mascot character 'Salty' and the custom lettering, will transfer fully to Retro Pretzels upon final payment. This includes the right to modify, reproduce, and reuse the designs across all future marketing materials.
