We are looking for an experienced web designer/developer to redesign our existing company website. We do not need e-commerce, a blog, mailing lists, or other complex functionality—just a modern, polished, professional website that clearly communicates who we are, what we do, and makes it easy for prospective clients to contact us. Our business has two distinct consulting practices that should each have their own dedicated section (or potentially separate but connected websites) while maintaining a consistent brand identity. We are open to creative ideas, including recommendations on domain structure and overall site architecture. We're looking for someone with strong design skills who can help simplify our messaging, improve the visual presentation, and deliver a clean, responsive site that is easy for us to maintain. About The Consortium The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management (CGSM) is a mission-driven community that connects prospective MBA students, member schools, alumni, and corporate partners to expand access and opportunity in graduate management education. We recruit and support talented applicants, collaborate closely with our member schools, and convene the community through our Orientation Program and year-round recruitment and engagement events. Our work is student-centered, operationally rigorous, and deeply mission-aligned—focused on delivering a high-quality candidate experience while helping our member schools build strong, diverse incoming classes. About the Project We are looking for an experienced WordPress/Elementor Web Designer/Developer to improve the mobile and structural experience of our existing website. The site is already built in WordPress using Elementor. This is not a redesign or rebuild. We need someone who can assess the existing site, identify usability issues, and make structural improvements while maintaining the current design and functionality. A key priority is improving the mobile experience. Scope of Work The project will focus on optimizing the existing website across mobile, tablet and desktop; improving mobile navigation and menu functionality. The selected freelancer will also improve navigation, page hierarchy and user pathways, ensuring key content and calls to action are easy to find and use. All updates should maintain the existing brand and visual design. The freelancer will test updates across devices, resolve layout and functionality issues, and flag any larger technical issues that fall outside the project scope. Required Experience The ideal candidate has strong WordPress and Elementor experience, with a demonstrated history of improving existing websites for mobile and responsive design. Experience with structural website updates, responsive web design, navigation and usability is required, along with working knowledge of HTML/CSS. Strong attention to detail, independent problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical recommendations are important for this project. Preferred Experience Experience working with nonprofit, higher education, association or mission-driven organizations is preferred, as is experience with websites serving multiple audiences. Familiarity with accessibility, SEO, website audits, UX improvements and WordPress troubleshooting is also a plus. Project Details This is a one-time, project-based engagement. The selected freelancer will review the existing website, identify the necessary improvements and implement the agreed-upon updates. We are looking for someone who can work efficiently within the existing WordPress/Elementor environment rather than recommending a full redesign. How to Apply Please include 3–5 relevant WordPress/Elementor examples, particularly projects involving responsive or structural improvements. Please also describe one WordPress/Elementor project where you improved the mobile or responsive experience and what you changed. In your proposal, please include your hourly rate and/or estimated project cost, estimated timeline, and a brief description of how you would approach assessing and improving our existing website. Finally, please include a brief statement explaining why The Consortium's mission resonates with you and how your experience aligns with our work.

Hello! I am the founder and owner of Palmetto Health Network (PHN). I am looking for an experienced WordPress/Elementor Web Developer and Designer to join the development team for Palmetto Health Network, a growing health and wellness website. The website has already been developed and has a strong foundation in place. At this stage, I am looking to add another experienced freelancer to the team who can work collaboratively with me and our other web developers/designers as we continue to grow and improve the site. I want to emphasize that this is not a request to rebuild the website from scratch. The primary goal is to bring in an additional developer/designer who can take the time to evaluate the existing website, become familiar with what has already been created, recommend thoughtful improvements, enhance the layout and visual presentation, and help us continue developing PHN into a professional, modern, attractive, and user-friendly health information platform. I am looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, communicates well, shares ideas, and is comfortable working alongside other professionals who have already contributed to the development of the website. What I Need Help With The selected freelancer will primarily assist with: Reviewing the existing WordPress website and identifying opportunities for improvement Improving page layouts and the overall visual presentation Enhancing the homepage, category pages, subcategory pages, and article/post layouts Improving spacing, typography, image placement, content organization, and visual hierarchy Making the site feel more polished, professional, and engaging Improving mobile and tablet responsiveness Enhancing navigation and the overall user experience Creating or improving reusable Elementor sections and templates Helping improve the presentation of health articles and educational content Improving newsletter signup areas, calls-to-action, banners, featured content areas, and related-content sections Making recommendations based on successful health and wellness publishing websites Troubleshooting WordPress/Elementor design or functionality issues when necessary Helping ensure that new design changes do not negatively affect existing functionality or SEO Collaborating with the existing developer rather than unnecessarily replacing or duplicating completed work Palmetto Health Network is being developed as a consumer health and wellness information blog/website covering topics such as: Healthy Living Nutrition Men's Health Women's Health Preventive Health Supplements Healthy Aging Health Products Disease Prevention General Health and Wellness The long-term goal is to build PHN into a high-quality health information and digital publishing platform (Blog/Website) with a strong emphasis on useful and informative content, professional presentation, SEO, reader engagement, newsletters, advertising, and affiliate marketing. What I Am NOT Looking For I am not looking for someone who immediately wants to replace everything that has already been built. A great deal of time and effort has already gone into developing the current website, and I want someone who is willing to first understand the existing site, communicate and collaborate with the current development team, and make thoughtful recommendations before making any major changes. The right freelancer should be able to appreciate and improve what we already have while helping us determine what should be added, modified, enhanced, or redesigned. I am very open to new ideas and suggestions, and I would love to work with someone who can bring their own creativity and experience to the project while also respecting the work that has already been completed. My goal is to build a positive and collaborative development team where everyone can contribute their expertise and ideas toward making Palmetto Health Network the best website it can be. If this sounds like a project you would enjoy being part of, I would be very happy to hear from you and learn more about your WordPress/Elementor experience, design background, and ideas for improving an established health and wellness website. Thank you for taking the time to review this opportunity. I look forward to the possibility of working together!

The website has already been designed and developed. I'm looking for someone to build on what's already there and help shape where it goes from here. I'm looking for a designer with a strong eye who enjoys making an existing website feel more intentional. Typography, spacing, imagery, hierarchy, navigation, responsiveness, and the countless small decisions that separate a good website from one that simply feels right. The site is built on Shopify, but I'm much more interested in design judgment than Shopify expertise. If you're an experienced web designer, I expect you'll be comfortable working within Shopify. One of the websites that influenced this project was: https://www.tappancollective.com I admire its restraint, simplicity, and presentation. From the beginning, my goal has been to create something with a similar approach, but one that feels more personal, more gallery-oriented, and less sales-driven. I'd like to continue pursuing that direction as we move forward with this process. Current website: https://www.arborandeye.com The website isn't fully live yet. It's currently being developed within Shopify, so you'll notice some areas that are still in progress. While the website is intended to sell original artwork, the broader goal is to create an experience that feels personal, authentic, and connected to the artist behind the work—something that resonates with collectors, interior designers, and people who appreciate thoughtful design and craftsmanship. When you apply, please include: • Two or three websites you've worked on that you believe are relevant to this project. • A brief explanation of your role on each. • Your initial thoughts after looking through Arbor & Eye. I'm interested in hearing about where I could use further refinement rather than what he does well. ***Note that this is a PDF from a PowerPoint presentation where I created the design that I wanted the website to follow (slide 2 was shared by the developer). Please take a few minutes to look through the website before applying. Thoughtful applications will stand out. If your portfolio feels like a good fit, I'll invite a small number of designers to complete a paid design exercise before selecting someone for the full project.
