Bending Arc helps nonprofit CEOs and Executive Directors build stronger, more resilient organizations. We're hiring an energetic, growing marketer to own our email systems and help our best content reach more people. If you love a good email sequence, work smart with AI, and want your marketing to genuinely help mission-driven leaders — we'd love to meet you. THE ROLE You'll own the email that turns our nonprofit audience and leads into customers and clients, and help extend the reach of the content we're already producing (podcast, articles, social). We'll provide the strategy and direction for campaigns and content, and you'll work with our custom Claude Skills, trained on our voice, frameworks, and audience. Your job is to take clear direction and proven templates and turn them into polished, on-brand, conversion-focused copy. This is a hands-on, execution-led role. WHAT YOU'LL OWN Email Marketing (your core focus) - Build and maintain welcome sequences for each way people join our list. - Write nurture sequences that warm up leads and move them toward our offers. - Write and update sales sequences for launches, webinars, and promotions. - Build, schedule, test, and send everything inside Kit. - Share a simple biweekly snapshot: what's converting, what's not, what's next. Content Repurposing & Growth (secondary) - Turn high-performing podcast episodes and articles into search-optimized (SEO/AEO) blog posts. - Repurpose long-form ideas into strong Instagram and YouTube content. - Create light, clean visuals using Canva or Claude Design - Adapt content thoughtfully for each platform — no lazy copy-paste. HOW WE USE AI You'll work with our proprietary Claude Skills. It's a custom AI infrastructure trained around our voice, frameworks, and IP. You can use these tools to help you ideate, draft, repurpose, and move fast. They're a head start, not a replacement for you. You'll still own the structure, the judgment calls, the quality control, and the final copy. We love people who treat AI as a sharp tool, and who know when a draft needs a human to make it actually good. HOW WE WORK You'll own your work while coordinating with a small, friendly, collaborative team. You'll use the following tools: - Kit (email) - Notion (project + content management) - Claude & Claude Skills, ChatGPT (writing + repurposing, light design - Canva - LinkedIn - Limited: Instagram, YouTube Experience with Kit and Canva is a plus. You Might Be a Great Fit If You… - Have some real marketing experience — small business, agency, coaching, nonprofit, or similar. - Have experience writing email campaigns or sequences - Get the difference between welcome, nurture, promo, and sales emails - Can take strategic direction and a template and run with it. - Write warm, clear, confident copy that sounds like a smart peer, not a corporate brochure. - Use AI tools thoughtfully, and know good work still needs editing and a human touch. - Are organized, proactive, and reliable with deadlines. - Work well solo and speak up when you need context or spot an opportunity. - Care about nonprofits and the leaders behind them. Bonus Points If You… - Have built nurture or sales sequences before (even small ones). - Have marketed coaching, courses, memberships, or events. - Already know your way around Kit. - Enjoy testing, learning fast, and improving as you go. HOW TO APPLY Please start your proposal with the phrase "Resilient Organization" so we know you read this all the way through. Then tell us: 1. A quick intro — who you are and why this role feels like a fit. 2. One or two examples of email copy or campaigns you've written (a link or short sample is perfect). Tell us what part was yours: strategy, copy, building, or all of it. 3. A sentence or two on how you use Claude, ChatGPT, or other AI tools in your process. 4. One example of content you repurposed from one format into another. 5. Your availability and preferred rate. We're most excited about people who show good judgment, clear writing, reliable follow-through, and a real understanding of how content moves someone from stranger to client.

We're a powerhouse retention agency that works with some exciting brands and we're looking for a Sr. Retention/Lifecycle Strategist to join the team! * No agencies * We're seeking a Sr. Retention Strategist who can own the full client relationship and retention roadmap for fast-growth to enterprise consumer brands. Please note that this is not an ESP execution role and not a media buying role. This is a client-facing strategy position: you'll collaborate with the retention strategy team but you will be leading the client, setting the vision, building the roadmap, and working with the team on day-to-day elements to deliver it. What You’ll Do: You'll be the primary point of contact on strategy for 1-4 high-growth consumer brands, leading retention strategy end-to-end. That means building the relationship, driving the roadmap, and connecting the dots between your clients' goals and our internal team's execution. You'll work closely with our ESP specialists, designers, and leadership to deliver best-in-class retention programs. • Serve as the primary client strategic POC on the day-to-day • Develop and manage retention roadmaps, ensuring clients always know where they're headed and why • Build strategy decks and performance narratives that clearly communicate impact and direction • Lead retention strategy across email, SMS, and lifecycle — including segmentation, automation, and CX integration • Work cross-functionally with ESP specialists and designers to brief, align, and deliver on strategy • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and communicate them clearly to clients and internal stakeholders • Travel occasionally (roughly quarterly) for client meetings, offsites, or industry events Please Have: Please have deep experience leading retention programs for consumer brands, a strong command of ESP platforms, and the polish to lead senior client relationships with confidence. The ideal candidate will have extensive agency and consumer brand experience. • Extensive retention marketing experience at either a DTC-focused agency or in-house at a consumer brand • Strong working knowledge of Klaviyo and/or Braze: you don't need to be coding flows, but you need to know the platforms deeply enough to lead strategy and speak credibly with specialists • Proven experience owning client relationships at a senior level: you're comfortable presenting to CMOs and holding your own in strategic conversations • Experience building retention roadmaps, strategy decks, and performance reports • Robust understanding of segmentation, lifecycle strategy, and CX-integrated retention programs • Highly organized and proactive: you anticipate what clients need before they ask • Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously without dropping the ball What You'll Get: • The opportunity to lead retention strategy for bold, high-growth brands across a variety of consumer categories • Direct collaboration with our leadership team and access to a talented, fast-moving group of strategists, creatives, and specialists • Access to proprietary tools and methodologies that you won't find anywhere else • A high-performance culture that values strategic thinking, bold moves, and exceptional results • Opportunities for personal and professional growth in an environment that's scaling intentionally, with no fluff or bureaucracy If you're a retention strategist who thrives on big ideas, client relationships, and measurable outcomes we should talk.

Project Description We are looking for an experienced email newsletter designer to design and build a professional, visually engaging email newsletter for our company. Our business provides ITIN-related services, and the newsletter will be sent every other month to professional referral partners, primarily CPA firms and title companies. The purpose of the newsletter is to provide genuinely useful educational information while keeping our company and ITIN services top-of-mind as a resource for their clients. For our first newsletter, the topic will be a new filing requirement that LLCs with non-resident partners need to be aware of. We will provide the final written copy. We are primarily looking for expertise in email design, layout, and building the finished email. What We Need The selected freelancer will: • Design the first email newsletter using our existing website/brand as the visual guide • Create a polished, modern B2B design that is visually engaging but still appropriate for CPAs, title companies, and other professionals • Build the finished email/template for use with Microsoft Outlook • Create a design that can be reused for newsletters sent every other month • Format approximately a 3–5 minute read in a way that is easy to scan • Incorporate headings, callout boxes, icons/graphics, key takeaways, or other visual elements where appropriate • Include a strong but professional call-to-action section promoting our ITIN services • Ensure the email displays properly on both desktop and mobile • Incorporate our logo, brand colors, fonts/style, website, and contact information Overall Look & Feel We are looking for something that feels: Professional • Modern • Credible • Educational • Clean • Visually Engaging This should not look like a traditional text-heavy accounting newsletter. At the same time, we do not want something overly flashy or sales-oriented. Our audience consists primarily of accounting, tax, title, and real estate professionals, so credibility and readability are very important. Initial Deliverables 1. Design of the first newsletter 2. Finished email that can be used/sent through Microsoft Outlook 3. Reusable newsletter template for future issues 4. Mobile-responsive design 5. Editable source/template files If the first project goes well, we would be interested in working with the same designer on our every-other-month newsletter on an ongoing basis. When Applying Please include: • 2–3 examples of email newsletters you have designed, preferably for B2B, financial, accounting, legal, real estate, or other professional-service businesses • Examples of emails/templates you have built specifically for Microsoft Outlook, if available • A brief explanation of how you ensure your email designs display correctly in Outlook • What format you recommend for a reusable Outlook email template • Your estimated turnaround time • Your fixed-price quote for the initial newsletter + reusable template Please begin your proposal with the words “B2B Newsletter” so we know you read the complete project description. We are looking for someone with whom we can potentially establish an ongoing relationship for future newsletter issues.

–– About the Role We are a commercial real estate company looking for an experienced email marketing specialist who can help us create polished, professional campaigns and build a more sophisticated email marketing system over time. Our immediate priority is improving the design, consistency, and effectiveness of our email campaigns. We want emails that feel custom, premium, and aligned with our brand—not generic, lightly modified drag-and-drop templates. For the right person, there may also be an opportunity to help us improve how our contact data, market intelligence, website leads, AI tools, and marketing automations work together. –– Initial Responsibilities You would help us design, build, and execute email campaigns such as: * Property listing announcements * New availability and transaction announcements * Commercial real estate market reports * Investment opportunities * Company news and updates * Event invitations * Broker and prospect outreach campaigns * Lead-nurturing and follow-up sequences * Recurring market and submarket updates The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with email design and marketing execution. –– Email Design Experience We are looking for someone who understands: * Professional email layout and visual hierarchy * Typography and brand consistency * Responsive and mobile-friendly email design * Calls to action and conversion-focused layouts * Custom email templates * Reusable email design systems * HTML email development and testing * The practical limitations of different email clients * Creating visually distinctive campaigns that stand out in crowded inboxes –– Email Marketing Experience Strong candidates should also understand: * Audience segmentation * Campaign planning and strategy * Marketing automation workflows * Drip and lead-nurturing campaigns * Website lead follow-up * Contact tagging and list organization * Personalization and dynamic content * A/B testing * Deliverability and list hygiene * Performance reporting and optimization We currently use Constant Contact. Experience designing and building campaigns within Constant Contact is helpful, but we are open to other platforms if they would provide meaningful improvements in design flexibility, segmentation, automation, reporting, CRM integration, or overall marketing effectiveness. Any platform recommendation should be based on our actual needs and data—not simply the platform you typically use. –– Additional Opportunity: Database, AI, and Marketing Automation This is not required for the initial email-design work, but it would be a major advantage if you have experience designing or implementing the systems behind advanced, data-driven campaigns. We currently have two valuable categories of data: 1. A contact and company database containing information such as client type, company, location, properties occupied, space requirements, market activity, and other relevant details. 2. A commercial real estate market database containing information about properties, availability, transactions, submarkets, and related market intelligence. We want to determine how this information should be structured and where it should live so it can be used effectively for: * Sophisticated audience segmentation * Personalized and dynamic email campaigns * Automated drip sequences * Website lead routing and follow-up * Recurring market updates * AI-assisted research, analysis, and content creation * Secure integration with Claude and other business tools * Scalable workflows that do not depend on excessive manual data entry For example, we may want to automatically send a monthly submarket update to contacts associated with a particular ZIP code, geographic area, property type, or space requirement. The content and listings included could change dynamically based on the recipient’s profile and current market data. Relevant experience may include: * CRM selection and implementation * Marketing automation platforms * Relational databases or data warehouses * Airtable, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Caspio, or similar systems * API integrations * Zapier, Make, n8n, or comparable automation tools * AI-enabled workflows using Claude or similar tools * Data cleanup, normalization, tagging, and migration * Dynamic content and behavior-based campaigns * Commercial real estate data or B2B marketing We do not expect every applicant to have deep expertise in all of these areas, and we are open to hiring more than one contractor with complementary skill sets. If you have particularly strong expertise in any one area—such as email design, campaign strategy, marketing automation, CRM implementation, database architecture, integrations, or AI-enabled workflows—please tell us. Be clear about what you can handle directly, where you could provide strategic guidance, and where a separate specialist would be beneficial. –– What We Value * Strong visual judgment and attention to detail * Strategic thinking beyond simply “sending an email” * Experience creating premium B2B campaigns * Clear and proactive communication * The ability to recommend practical systems without overengineering * An understanding of how design, data, automation, and conversion strategy work together * Commercial real estate experience is helpful but not required –– To Apply Please include: 1. Examples of email campaigns or templates you personally designed and built. 2. The email platforms and automation tools you have used. 3. A brief explanation of your role in the examples provided—design, coding, strategy, automation, execution, or reporting. 4. An example of a drip campaign or segmented automation you have created. 5. Any experience connecting CRM or database information to personalized campaigns. 6. Your experience, if any, with AI-enabled workflows or Claude. 7. Whether you would recommend remaining with Constant Contact initially and what information you would need before evaluating alternatives. 8. Your hourly rate and general availability. Please begin your application with the phrase “DATA-DRIVEN EMAIL” so we know you reviewed the complete posting. We would likely begin with a defined email design or template project. If the working relationship is successful, this could develop into ongoing campaign support and a larger automation and database strategy engagement.
