I am writing my first novel and need assistance with editing and ghostwriting to enhance the flow. I need chapters broken up into shorter chunks, character introduction help, moving around of flashbacks so they spread out in a good flow throughout the novel. The novel is a crime/detctive style with a heavy romance theme. The goal is for this to be the first book in a long series so I hope to find a partner here that I can hire for long-term coloboration if I can find an agent and a publisher. I also want help with writing a query letter and and a synopsis so I can use those to find an agent. The novel and the series are set in San Antonio, TX so a familiarity with the area is a plus. I am a Christian so my book does not have cursing or sexual content in it and my plan is for that to never be in any of my books. Info on me: I am a first-time novelist that hopes to find an agent and publish my first book by my 50th birthday (December 2027) and hopefully publish 2-4 a year after that. I am a Christian so I want my books to stay clean and eventually I might tilt them more towards a spiritual side, but my first book introduces the main character and he is angry with God because of what happens to his family while he is on a trip. My budget for this book is $750-1400 depending on what the hired person provides. I have 6 learning disabilities, but I still earned a Master's in Christian Education and I currently run my own company. The point is, my brain works a little different than most people so I need someone that can find the errors I make along with changing things so they flow better. I am very driven and truly believe I will be able to write 20+ books if I can find the right agent and possibly a co-writer. Coming up with intricate stories is my specialty, but I need help with getting them on paper in a manner that will make me top seller. I know my weaknesses and hope to find a partner that excels where I am weak. Book details This is the first book in a series I hope to get published by a big 5 publisher. I will hand you a completed manuscript and would like you to edit it and make it ready to be published. My weaknesses are the descriptive aspects like proper character and scene introductions so that is why I want an experienced ghostwriter. I also need things cleaned up so they flow better and will need you to turn longer chapters into shorter ones. About 30% or so of the book are flashbacks so I need you to spread my flashbacks (that is where most of the romance and heartbreak happens in book 1) around so they flow well and are not front-loaded. Right now, 75% of the flash backs are at the beginning of the book because it was easier for me to write it that way. If you have the experience of writing a query letter and synopsis then I would like you to also include that cost in your proposal. I would love for the book to take on a suspenseful tone and I have tried to do that, but I am still learning how to write this genre. Long-term goal is to find a collaborator (maybe you) to help me with 20-80 books over the next 20-30 years. Some books will be from this and other series I want to write and others will be stand-alone thrillers. If I am successful then my collaborator will be well-paid and even has the chance of being a credited co-writer if they so choose. Target audience Romance and mystery lovers college age and up that like clean, romantic thrillers. The main character is a college professor and several characters are college students so my goal is to attract readers 18 and above. Main Characters College professor that is a former detective and chess star Nurse that is a former theater/speech star 2 college students that will eventually fall in love many books down the line- goal is to write 1-2 series off of them similar to what Jeffrey Archer did with his two long series There is also a Mexican drug cartel and their ruthless leader, a westside San Antonio biker gang, some restaurant owners, some useless detectives and a few professors and other less involved characters

I'm an author with an 8-book Christian middle-grade series, The Brave Girls of the Bible Club (ages 8–12), and I'm looking for an editor for the whole series. The series at a glance: Five modern girls discover a magical trunk in their church basement that transports them into the stories of courageous women of the Bible. Each book teaches one real-world skill (courage, leadership, emotional honesty, resilience, identity, gifts, empathy) and ends with a parent–daughter discussion guide. The eight books feature Esther, Deborah, Hannah, Ruth, Mary Magdalene, Priscilla, Miriam, and an ensemble finale. Scope: 8 books, ~4,000–6,000 words each — roughly 38,000 words total Already fully drafted, formatted, and consistent in style (Word/.docx files) Each book: 7–8 chapters plus back matter (discussion guide, journal pages) These manuscripts are already written and in a fixed brand voice. I'm looking for editing and continuity checking, not rewriting. Specifically: Line/copy edit — grammar, clarity, flow, age-appropriate language for 8–12. Series continuity — consistency across all 8 books (character details, the trunk's "rules," recurring phrasing, the deepening faith arc). Scripture accuracy — confirming the biblical retellings and references are handled faithfully. I don't want the text rewritten or "elevated" into a different style, just polished and made consistent. Before I commit to all eight, would you be open to a paid sample edit of one chapter (~1,500 words)? That lets me see your editing style and confirm we're a good fit. If it goes well, I'd then want a bulk quote for the full series (~38,000 words) and your estimated turnaround. A few quick questions: Are you comfortable with middle-grade fiction (not just devotionals/picture books)? Do you work in Word with tracked changes so I can review every edit? What's your rate for the one-chapter sample, and roughly for the full series? The ideal candidate will have experience in Christian content and middle-grade books, ensuring the series is engaging and suitable for the target audience. This is a long-term project requiring a commitment to editing all 8 books.

We have an anthology of biographies of American women that is pretty much done but needs final editing and proofreading. There are a few selections to add to the text and then each individual essay should read, edited, and proofread. I'm looking for someone tedious and meticulous.

We previously partnered with a videographer/editor on this project; however, communication has since stopped. We have all original footage, along with an existing edited video that is approximately 3 minutes in length. After reviewing the draft, we provided feedback and requested revisions, but we have been unable to reconnect with the editor to complete the final updates. We are looking for a video professional who can take the existing footage and edited version, recreate the video, and incorporate the necessary revisions to deliver a polished final product. Final video length: Under 3 minutes Content: Footage from a sporting arena highlighting our team members performing their roles, management partnerships, and client testimonials Scope: Refine/edit existing content, incorporate requested changes, improve flow, and deliver a professional finished video suitable for marketing purposes We have the assets ready and are looking for someone who can help bring the project across the finish line.
