Klaviyo Email Deliverability Expert Needed — Inbox Placement & Domain Reputation Overview We are an established e-commerce health and wellness brand using Shopify + Klaviyo and are looking for a highly experienced Email Deliverability / Klaviyo Deliverability Expert to diagnose and correct what appears to be an inbox placement issue. Our emails are being reported as delivered through Klaviyo, but we are concerned that a significant percentage may not actually be reaching customers' inboxes. We have experienced issues with email open rates and want an expert who can determine exactly what is happening and develop a plan to fix it. This is NOT primarily an email design, copywriting, or campaign-management position. We need someone who specializes in email deliverability, sender/domain reputation, Gmail deliverability, authentication, list health, and inbox placement. What We Need You to Do We want a complete audit of our email infrastructure and Klaviyo account, including: Analyze current Klaviyo deliverability Review sender/domain reputation Review Google Postmaster Tools Analyze Gmail inbox placement Review spam/complaint rates Check bounce rates and suppression activity Verify SPF configuration Verify DKIM configuration Verify DMARC configuration and alignment Review branded sending domain setup Review dedicated/shared sending infrastructure where applicable Review branded click tracking Verify one-click unsubscribe compliance Review current sending volume and frequency Analyze engagement by email provider (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, AOL, etc.) Review list quality and inactive subscribers Review segmentation strategy Identify whether emails are landing in Primary, Promotions, Spam, or being otherwise filtered Identify anything negatively affecting our sender reputation Most Important: Fix the Problem We are not looking for someone who simply provides us with an automated audit report. We want an expert who can: 1. Identify the root cause 2. Explain clearly what is happening 3. Develop a deliverability recovery strategy 4. Help us implement the necessary changes 5. Monitor results and determine whether inbox placement improves If our domain reputation needs to be rebuilt, we want you to create a structured 2–4 week reputation recovery/warm-up strategy, including recommended sending segments, volumes, frequency, suppression strategy, and gradual audience expansion. Experience Required Please apply only if you have significant experience with: Klaviyo Shopify e-commerce brands Google Postmaster Tools Gmail deliverability Email sender/domain reputation SPF / DKIM / DMARC Inbox placement testing Spam complaint reduction List hygiene Klaviyo segmentation Domain reputation recovery Email warm-up/recovery strategies Experience working with high-volume e-commerce email programs is strongly preferred. When Applying Please answer the following questions: How many Klaviyo deliverability projects have you personally worked on? Have you successfully recovered a domain experiencing poor Gmail inbox placement? How do you determine whether emails reported as "delivered" are actually reaching the inbox? What tools do you use to test inbox placement and sender/domain reputation? What do you look for in Google Postmaster Tools? What would be the first five things you would check in our Klaviyo account? Have you implemented SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for Klaviyo sending domains? Please provide an example of a deliverability problem you diagnosed and the measurable improvement you achieved. IMPORTANT: Please begin your proposal with the words "INBOX PLACEMENT" so we know you read the entire job description. Project Goal Our goal is straightforward: Determine why our email engagement/open rates have declined, determine whether our emails are actually reaching customers' inboxes, correct any technical or reputation problems, and restore strong inbox placement. We are looking for someone who can diagnose AND implement, not simply give recommendations. If you have deep Klaviyo and email deliverability experience and have successfully solved Gmail/domain reputation problems for e-commerce brands, we'd like to hear from you.

We're a growing DTC eCommerce company (two brands: NewlyNamed + DailyDocs) looking for a hands-on Klaviyo expert to own our email & SMS lifecycle program end-to-end. This is an ongoing, part-time role — not a one-off project — replacing our previous agency as we bring lifecycle in-house. You'll set the strategy and build it yourself. We have an in-house designer for templates and a brand marketer for campaign briefs, so you can focus on strategy, segmentation, copy, build, and optimization. What you'll own: • Full lifecycle strategy across email + SMS — welcome, post-purchase, cross-sell, win-back, reactivation, review & referral flows • Personally writing, building, coding, QA-ing, and launching campaigns and flows in Klaviyo • Treating every email/SMS sign-up as a lead — optimizing pop-up capture and Welcome-series conversion, in partnership with our performance marketing + website CRO teams • Advanced segmentation, list hygiene, deliverability, and CAN-SPAM/TCPA compliance • Standing up SMS in Klaviyo (early priority) and growing it as a channel • Ongoing testing + reporting on repeat purchase rate, retention, and email/SMS-attributed revenue You are: • U.S.-based, with excellent written English (you'll write customer-facing copy) • 4+ years hands-on in Klaviyo for a DTC/eCommerce brand — able to build independently, not just advise • Proven lifecycle/retention wins you can point to (repeat rate or LTV lift you personally drove) • Experienced setting up SMS in Klaviyo (or able to stand it up from scratch) • Available for live meetings + Slack during U.S. business hours Nice to have: Figma/Canva, basic HTML/CSS for email, experience with women's lifestyle / gifting / considered-purchase brands. Engagement: ~10–20 hrs/week, ongoing, reporting to our Co-Founder. We treat AI as a force multiplier and expect you to use it. To apply: Share 2–3 Klaviyo examples (flows or campaigns) with brief outcomes, and one test you ran and what you learned from it.

We run outbound email sequences targeting established Florida small business owners (in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, ...) on behalf of a business broker. Our goal is to build credibility with these owners over 4–6 emails and eventually prompt them to take a 15-minute call. We already have a working 6-email sequence. We need someone to help us test it, iterate on it, write new sequence variants, and eventually develop sequences for additional verticals and audiences. This is a writing contract, not an email infra engagement. Blue Collar Owner Persona: - 50 to 70 years old, trades business owner in Florida - Has built a business and run it for 20-30 years - Skeptical of anyone calling about "selling their business." Has been burned by PE or other buyer spam. - Usually cares about legacy, employees, financial security, and not being pressured - Has probably never had a real conversation about what their business is worth - Has to exit plan, but don't want to talk about it until it's too late.

STRUCTURE: Monthly flat retainer for ownership of paid media + Klaviyo, estimated 8-12 hrs/week. We prefer retainer stability over hourly clock-watching. You own outcomes, not timesheets. Describe a Klaviyo flow you built and the paid campaign feeding it. What was the revenue result? 2. What's the first thing you audit in an underperforming Google Ads account? We are a boutique ecommerce email and SMS retention agency. We run Klaviyo programs for DTC brands doing $5M to $20M in revenue. Our best client went from email being 16% of revenue to 61%. We are good at the work. We are bad at owning our own pipeline, because both founders are pulled into delivery. We are hiring one person to fix that. This is not appointment setting, and it is not a cold email or LinkedIn blast job. We already ran the high-volume playbook. It produced noise and zero closed revenue. What has actually closed for us is intent: brands already looking for exactly what we do. We want someone who works a deliberate list of 20 to 50 genuinely qualified brands per month, properly. What you own Marketplaces and intent channels. Upwork, Hiry, industry Slack communities, and any others you can find where DTC brands are actively hiring for email or retention help. Speed is most of the win here. A short target list. Each month, the top 20 to 50 brands that fit our ICP and show real buying signals: an open retention or lifecycle job posting, a recent Klaviyo install, a fractional CMO, a visible gap in their program. Then you go after them properly. Cold calling encouraged. Creative pattern interrupts encouraged. We will fund reasonable experiments. The partner channel. We have an existing network that has produced interest but no closed revenue. You own nurturing and expanding it. The system. Build and run the CRM. Own the stages, the cadences, the nurture automations, the weekly readout. Nothing falls through the cracks and everyone gets a fast response. The motion Closer to SaaS selling than agency spam. Small list, patient nurture, real relationships. It is normal to book very little in months one and two while you build a nurtured pipeline, then have a strong month three. We are not measuring activity volume. We do not need ten clients next month. Three to five good ones over the next year changes our business, and the year-one commission structure means each one keeps paying you every month it stays. Early on you book calls and sit in on discovery to learn the space. As you ramp, you run discovery yourself, with a senior strategist as technical second chair and a founder on the close. You do not need to be a Klaviyo expert. You need to hold an intelligent first conversation and know a qualified brand from an unqualified one. Compensation $1,000/month base, plus per-qualified-call bonuses, plus commission on every client you close — paid on month one and then monthly across the first year, so accounts stack rather than reset. Our retainers run $3,000 to $5,000/month. Realistic on-target earnings once ramped are $2,500 to $3,500/month, and the recurring side compounds as you land more accounts. We are open on how the mix is structured. If you would rather trade base for a higher percentage, tell us. 90-day review. This is a build role. The first 30 days are mostly learning our ICP, proof points, and verticals. By day 90 we want a working pipeline system and a steady flow of qualified calls. Closes inside that window are a bonus, not the bar. We audited twelve months of our own sales before writing this. You get the postmortem on day one: what worked, what did not, and what we already know not to repeat. You also get a documented ICP framework and DQ rules, case studies and proof points, vertical-specific pain point briefs, lead magnets, budget for the tools you need, and direct access to both founders. Requirements US-based. You will be calling and writing to US business owners. Not negotiable for this role. 3+ years B2B sales, ideally full cycle, consultative or SaaS-style with longer nurture windows Comfortable cold calling You have built or run a CRM and pipeline system yourself, not just worked inside someone else's You have sold recurring services, not one-off projects Strong written communication Self-directed. We are hiring you to tell us how this should work. Nice to have: ecommerce, Shopify, DTC or agency sales; familiarity with Klaviyo, Attentive, or Postscript. Please answer the screening questions. Short and specific beats long and polished.
