In my headline I say that I am a “full-stack” mobile developer, but what does that really mean? For me that means that whatever your project is I can guide you through the process of designing, implementing, and deploying your idea. If your application requires extensive backend code (or server) code I will be able to write it for you. If your application needs to be cross platform on iOS and Android I can also do that. In the past I have created social networks, weather apps, image manipulation programs, and many more. I have been working with iOS since shortly after the App Stores release, and have mainly been doing modern Swift development since it’s release. I have been working with Android for about five years now, and am able to write code for both Java and Kotlin. On the web-development side I have worked with a diverse set of platforms such as: ASP.net Core, Ruby on Rails, PHP, Node.JS, and Go. I have also done my fair share of lower-level systems programing in languages like Swift, Rust, and C.
I will be able to help you get up to speed on virtually any hosting platform of your choice and tell you the pros and cons of many. I have worked extensively with various databases like: MSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and RabbbitMQ. I am also an experienced Linux administrator, and currently run my own ESXi instance with multiple flavors of Linux, Mac, and Windows running underneath.

I'm an independent software consultant specializing in web app development and design.
Leveraging professional tools, I craft user-centric solutions tailored to your specific needs and budget. Drawing on experience at a Fortune 500 enterprise like Analog Devices Inc., I ensure a clear understanding of your project goals and handle the entire development lifecycle, including deployment. This means you can focus on your core business while I take care of building and launching your web application.
I work independently and handle all aspects of your project, from design to deployment. This ensures a single point of contact and streamlined communication throughout the process. Feel free to schedule an interview to learn more about my approach and how I can contribute to your project.
Who should hire me?
- Startups seeking to build scalable web or mobile apps from the ground up. I leverage efficient and agile methodologies to create future-proof solutions that can grow with your business.
- Individuals and small businesses needing guidance on web app development, scalability, and budgeting. My consultations translate your vision into a clear roadmap, ensuring cost-effectiveness and long-term success.
- Entrepreneurs with evolving business models who require expert app development direction. I can help you navigate the ever-changing app landscape and find the best technology fit for your unique needs.
- Mid-sized to large enterprises looking for a versatile developer. I offer a full spectrum of skills, from frontend development to full-stack expertise, with design and deployment experience to ensure seamless project execution.
Why I Embrace a Multifaceted Approach?
My journey began in architectural design, where I explored integrating technology into physical spaces. This experience instilled in me a strong foundation in research, reading, and problem-solving.
While coding initially presented a challenge, I soon realized my design background provided a solid base for web development and UX/UI design. I transitioned to freelancing, allowing me to leverage my diverse skillset.
The ever-evolving nature of the web industry demands flexibility and a thirst for knowledge. My research and reading skills, honed during my academic background, empower me to quickly adapt to new technologies and tackle challenges with enthusiasm.
This research ability and understanding of abstract concepts are highly transferable to building startups and developing apps. As you know, most information is readily available online, and a significant portion of a developer's role involves reading documentation and quickly grasping complex ideas. This aligns perfectly with my strengths.
Therefore, I prioritize staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field. I actively seek out new technologies and challenges, forsaking the comfort of relying solely on familiar methods. This commitment to continuous learning ensures I can deliver the most effective solutions for your project.
Common Mistakes When Hiring Programmers
Many clients struggle to identify the right skill set when hiring programmers and often end up with code full of bugs. Here are some common mistakes to avoid:
1. Underestimating frontend development's complexity: Frontend development can be just as complicated, if not more so, than backend development. Don’t assume it’s easier.
2. Believing enterprise experience guarantees better results: Just because someone has worked at a large enterprise doesn't mean they can build an app from scratch, especially if their experience is focused on optimization rather than creation. Also, many tech giants emphasize algorithms in their interviews, which, in my opinion, are less relevant in the age of tools like ChatGPT.
3. Assuming computer science degrees guarantee coding ability: While a computer science degree provides a solid understanding of programming concepts, it doesn’t necessarily mean the person can code effectively.
4. Hiring cheaper developers and ending up with messy code: Platforms like Upwork offer a global pool of developers, and while you can find reasonably priced talent, lower costs don’t always equate to quality work.
5. Developing and bug-fixing apps by multiple developers, especially on a fixed-price basis: The code needs to be constantly organized, cleaned, and updated. Apps built this way can become messy, leading to situations where a simple CSS fix takes hours. Code lines can grow into thousands, function names might not be descriptive, etc. This will be a total waste of your money!
I'm not saying you must always hire me, but it's crucial to hire the right engineers who can do the right job for you! I understand that finding the right resources isn't easy, but I encourage you to take the time to do it right. Seek consultations, ask friends for help, and make sure you find the right fit for your needs.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!

If you're building an MVP or a SaaS product, your biggest risk isn't the code. It's building the wrong thing. I've spent 10 years as a full-stack developer (Next.js, React, Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL) helping startups avoid exactly that.
So before we write any code, we'll talk about your users and the problem you're actually solving. I know that sounds obvious, but I've watched teams burn half their budget on features nobody asked for. A week spent sharpening your idea saves you months of rework, and it costs a lot less.
Your product gets built on boring, proven tech: Next.js and React up front, Node.js or NestJS with PostgreSQL behind it, REST or GraphQL APIs where they make sense. Nothing exotic. Two years from now you'll still find developers who know this stack, and your codebase won't be the reason you can't ship.
You'll always know where your project stands. Clear milestones, honest updates, no surprise at the end. Nine products have gone from idea to production this way, and the pattern holds: the calmer the process, the better the launch.
If you're a founder validating an idea, or a business that needs a web app or backend API built properly the first time, send me a short note about your project. You'll get a few sharp questions back and an honest read on your fastest path to launch, even if that answer is "you need less than you think."
