Welcome!
I am Kiran, PCB Designer & Embedded Firmware Developer with 15+ years of experience, 20+ products shipped from concept to mass manufacturing across industrial, automotive, medical, IoT,
and consumer electronics. 100% Job Success Score, Top Rated Plus.
MTech (E&TC), Symbiosis International University | BEng (Electronic Engineering), Shivaji University.
Most hardware projects fail due to poor EMI/EMC compliance, memory leaks, or unoptimized DFM/DFT. I solve this by engineering robust ecosystems & bridging the gap between reliable hardware physics and memory-optimized RTOS firmware.
📌 Hardware Architecture & PCB Design
As a Senior PCB Designer, I natively use KiCad (versions 8–10) and Altium Designer to engineer multi-layer, high-speed, and mixed-signal boards. I handle the complete hardware lifecycle, integrating critical protections like 12V automotive TVS surge clamping, reverse polarity protection, and complex EMI/EMC shielding. Whether you need a flex-PCB for a medical wearable or a rigid board for an industrial controller, my layouts guarantee strict IPC-2221 compliance and flawless Pick-and-Place (CPL) alignment for JLCPCB and mass assembly.
📌 Embedded Firmware & RTOS Development
As a Firmware Engineer, I write secure, hardware-optimized Embedded C/C++ code for ARM Cortex-M (STM32, NXP), ESP32, and nRF52 microcontrollers, as well as Embedded Linux systems (Raspberry Pi, Yocto, Debian). I architect highly stable software using FreeRTOS and Zephyr RTOS. My firmware track record includes deploying secure dual-bank OTA (Over-The-Air) updates, integrating Edge AI (TinyML), and tuning real-time wireless stacks (BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN, Cellular NB-IoT) without ever bottlenecking the scheduler.
📌 Industrial IoT & Sensor Integration
I seamlessly integrate high-precision components—IMUs, CMOS image sensors, biopotentials, load cells, and BLDC/Stepper motor drivers—into highly constrained physical envelopes. I ensure that industrial communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, CAN bus (SAE-J1939), RS485, and Modbus TCP operate synchronously and fault-free.
Core Services & Deliverables:
📌 End-to-End Hardware Architecture & Schematic Design
📌 PCB Layout & Routing (KiCad, Altium, EasyEDA)
📌 DFM/DFT Optimization for Mass Manufacturing (PCBA)
📌 Embedded C/C++ Firmware (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ESP-IDF)
📌 Embedded Linux & Audio DSP (ALSA, PipeWire)
📌 IoT Cloud Connectivity (MQTT, AWS IoT, HTTPS)
📌 Hardware Bring-Up, Debugging & Power Supply Design
Why Work With Me?
I respect your intellectual property (IP) and strictly safeguard your hardware designs, schematics, and source code. I communicate transparently and deliver on time.

Senior embedded firmware engineer. 10+ years, 100% Job Success across 25 contracts, specializing in BLE, motor control, and industrial firmware on STM32, Nordic nRF52, ESP32, PIC, and TI MSP430.
Clients hire me when the firmware decisions matter — when a wrong choice on BLE connection parameters costs weeks of battery life, when a motor control loop needs to be stable across temperature, or when an OTA update has to work on every device already in the field.
Shipped products my firmware runs in:
— Range React VRT — commercial shooting-sports trainer on ESP32 (see portfolio): shot detection, servo-positioned laser, BLE streaming to iOS/Android
— Production BLE tire-pressure monitor on nRF52832 (nRF5 SDK/SoftDevice) — pressure + IMU over I²C, low-power BLE streaming
— Commercial smart lock rebuilt from TI CC2640 onto nRF52 — BLE + NFC, plus a custom OTA/DFU host: when Nordic's DFU controller docs fell short, I reverse-engineered the protocol from live BLE logs and reimplemented it on ESP32
— STM32WB55 dual-BLDC controller — closed-loop PID with encoder feedback, live tuning over Web Bluetooth
— 10-zone fire alarm panel on PIC18F/XC8 — the client still returns with new requirements every time he lands a customer
— USB HID input device on PIC16F1455 — 3-switch keyboard HID (F13–F15) + rotary encoder volume/mute control for Windows (see portfolio)
— Register-level i.MX RT1062 (Teensy): 8 phase-synchronized FlexPWM outputs via XBAR, no vendor SDK
Beyond the above: Wi-Fi, RFID/NFC, custom GATT profiles, multi-peripheral BLE architectures, ADC tuning and sensor bring-up, interrupt-driven design, and clean firmware porting between MCU families. Currently also working in nRF Connect SDK / Zephyr.
Hardware-level debugging with oscilloscope and logic analyzer — when the datasheet and reality disagree, I find out which one is lying. On one contract, the transmitter didn't actually follow its own protocol spec — the scope proved it, and I adapted the receiver to the real signal instead of the document.
Most of my contracts start small and grow — my work history shows client relationships lasting 3–5 years and 200+ hours.
I also work daily as an ATC automation engineer under ICAO standards — including network protocol analysis with Wireshark on live operational systems. That background shapes how I write firmware: defensive coding, fault tolerance, watchdog discipline, and the assumption that field conditions will eventually find every weakness in the design. For safety-adjacent, industrial, or always-on products, it matters.
Toolchains: Keil uVision5, SEGGER Embedded Studio, STM32CubeIDE, MPLAB X, Code Composer Studio, Arduino IDE, XC8, Proteus.
If you have hardware in hand and need firmware that ships correctly the first time, send me the details — happy to discuss scope before you commit.

Most hardware projects don't fail because of bad ideas. They fail in the messy space between "working prototype" and "shipping product." That's where I've spent the last 14 years — across 350+ projects and 50+ products now in mass production.
Hundred clients have come back for a second project. Here's what's behind that number.
I take products from napkin sketch to factory floor — designing the PCBs, writing the firmware, and optimizing the BOMs. That DFM work alone typically saves clients 20–30% on production costs. One client shipped at 12mA after coming to me with a prototype drawing 800mA in sleep mode. That's the difference between a redesign and a launch.
The firmware I write runs 24/7 in industrial environments where a crash at 2 AM means someone's driving to a job site. I build for reliability first: FreeRTOS or bare-metal on STM32, ESP32, nRF52/53, RP2040, PIC, and Atmel. Connectivity — MQTT, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, or cellular — gets chosen for the use case, not the trend.
On the hardware side: multi-layer PCBs, proper signal integrity, IPC-compliant layouts (2221, 7351) in Altium and KiCad, built for manufacturability from day one. When the project calls for it, I wire the full IoT stack — AWS IoT Core, edge AI/ML inference, secure OTA, and fleet health monitoring.
Top-Rated Plus. 100% Job Success Score.
