I write stories to connect with your audience. If you already have one, I'll help you refine it.
My name's Jack. I've been writing for as long as I can remember.
Most recently, I've collaborated with a photographer friend on Origins, a series of coffee table books that pair historical fiction with before-and-after photos of local towns and cities. These have been local bestsellers and the business is constantly expanding.
Prior to that, I wrote a dozen novels and dozens more short stories, ranging in genre from detective mystery to supernatural horror to historical thriller to epic fantasy and sci-fi.
The novels are where I honed my craft. The Origins books are where I learned to serve the creative vision of another.
If you need a story to connect with your audience, I'd love to help you write it.

Professional Ghostwriter & Story Architect
Transforming Success Stories Into Compelling Narratives
With over 5 years of specialized experience in publishing and ghostwriting, I bring the extraordinary journeys of high-achieving individuals to life through powerful storytelling. My expertise lies in extracting the essence of personal and professional transformation—capturing the struggles, breakthroughs, and wisdom that define true success.
What I Do:
Ghostwriting & Book Development
I collaborate with successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, and motivational speakers to craft their stories into compelling books. Through in-depth interview processes, I uncover the pivotal moments, challenges overcome, and lessons learned that shaped their paths to success.
Interview Development & Content Creation:
As head writer for documentary productions, I design probing, insightful interview questions that reveal authentic stories. My approach focuses on drawing out the human elements behind business success—the hardships faced, the resilience built, and the expertise gained.
I specialize in weaving together personal narratives that showcase how adversity becomes advantage, transforming individual experiences into motivational content that resonates with broader audiences.
Notable Collaborations:
I've had the privilege of ghostwriting for renowned figures including Kevin Harrington and Les Brown, helping translate their entrepreneurial journeys into powerful written works. Additionally, I've contributed as head writer for TV docuseries productions, crafting interview frameworks that capture compelling business success stories.
My Approach:
Every project begins with deep listening. I believe the most powerful stories emerge when we dig beneath surface-level achievements to uncover the real human experiences—the failures that taught resilience, the moments of doubt that sparked innovation, and the relationships that provided support during challenging times.
Ready to transform your story into something that inspires others? Let's discuss how we can bring your unique journey to life.

Most Amazon KDP publishers and Kindle Novel authors contact me because they want their next romance novel to be a bestseller.
I'm James, a published Contemporary Romance Ghostwriter, Book Ghostwriter, and Fiction Writer with nearly a decade of experience helping authors, publishers, Kindle Unlimited (KU)® authors, and Amazon KDP publishers develop stories that engage readers from the first chapter to the last.
My specialty is creating emotionally compelling romance novels, fiction novels, and book series with strong storytelling, believable conflict, immersive character development, satisfying character arcs, and page-turning emotional tension.
Authors always find it easy to work with me because I understand how to solve these 3 Major Concerns.
"My story has potential, but something isn't working."
Many manuscripts struggle because the structure doesn't support the story. Characters make inconsistent decisions, conflicts resolve too easily, or important story threads disappear.
My approach focuses on creating a solid narrative foundation in which every chapter serves a purpose and every scene moves the story forward.
2) "Your story won't feel flat to readers."
Readers don't fall in love with perfect plots.
They fall in love with storytelling and character development.
I build emotional depth through realistic dialogue, meaningful conflict, chemistry, internal struggles, and character growth that feels earned rather than forced.
The result is a story that connects emotionally instead of simply telling readers what to feel.
3) "Before working with me, you might be skeptical about how well your novel will perform”
My writing strategy eliminates second-guessing your project as an author. Instead, my service will increase your confidence to invest your time, attention, and capital.
Every chapter is developed through extensive research, without AI, and delivered with quality that can withstand the rigors of the competitive market.
Clients continue working With Me because they know I'm invested in their project's success.
I understand that every manuscript represents an investment of time, money, creativity, and trust. Whether you're building a long-running romance series, launching your first novel, or refining an existing manuscript, I approach every project with the same level of dedication and professionalism.

Since a young age, I have loved bringing stories to life. It is said that when you do what you love, you never work a day in your life. I am a firm believer in this policy. The story or article that I am writing for you is never work. The work is not something I feel like I have to do. Instead, the story or article I am writing for you is something I want to do.
Throughout the last year, I have worked with over two hundred clients on fiction and nonfiction projects alike.
My fiction writing specialties include:
- Contemporary Fiction
- Romance
- Fantasy
- Historical Fiction
- Science Fiction
Though these are the areas I prefer to write in, I am comfortable with most genres.
My nonfiction writing specialties include:
- Blog posts
- Interest pieces
- Research papers
- Biographies
- Memoirs
When it comes to the length of the writing piece, I am comfortable with a wide range. I have worked on stories that range from less than a thousand words to stories that are over one hundred thousand words.
I enjoy working with clients on the outline of the project if it is not already formed. If clients have an outline, I will work from that and continue to build upon the ideas they already have. With my writing, clients will see their stories come to life.
My services are completely confidential. I will never lay any claim to the work I do for my clients.

I write words for money. I do this fairly well as I am not currently living under a bridge feeding on goats, assailing travelers with riddles and such.

What I can bring to your table:
* Nearly a decade's worth of ghostwriting experience while working under an NDA. I prefer light sci-fi, horror, and fantasy, however I have quite a bit of experience in romance as well. (Please note: I am no longer interested in writing higher heat levels in the romance genre. I am much more "Hallmark Channel" than TV-MA as a reference)
* I have written and illustrated children's books both for clients and for myself.
* Personal experience with both the self-publishing world and traditional publishing with a small press (traditionally published under a pen name available upon request)
* Experience with non-fiction writing including magazine articles and some content writing for blogs, websites, or products. (Please note: my SEO skills are a tad rusty at the moment)
*** I do not use Ai (and will not capitalize that i even if asked nicely) for more than Grammarly's free version to help me catch typos and feral commas that I may miss on my edit before turning the work in. I will also write to client-provided outlines generated by Ai when necessary. ***
* I can do book layout for most platforms. If I am unfamiliar with your preferred platform, I am willing to figure it out unless it requires purchasing a new app, software, or platform membership.
* I have a background in commercial art that I have refined over the years. I love creating marketing material designs including business cards, bookmarks, flyers, brochures, signs, etc.
* Currently I only offer hand drawn art (no digital). My preference is watercolors, colored pencil, chalk pastel, or a combination of that list, however, I am happy to dive into another medium if that is your wish.
***Please note: I no longer offer free sample art. My portfolio is available on my profile. If you need a more specific sample, I am willing to provide it at a discounted rate.
* I work hard to fulfill the needs of my clients within their budgets, on time, and in a friendly manner.
* I will be upfront with you if your project does not fall within my skillset or if I encounter an issue that may affect the timeline/budget
What I need from a client:
* Clear direction for your project.
* Reasonable communication.
* A rational editing plan if required.
* An end goal that is understood on both sides and does not move drastically partway (or repeatedly) through the project.
Why I freelance:
* I LOVE writing, etc. and hate marketing.
* A paycheck where I get to use my skills is always a good thing.
It really is that simple.
All of that may sound a bit blunt but I promise I am much easier to work with than the bullet point method may imply. The long and short of it is that my goal is to deliver the best work I can to you on time and within budget while being pleasant to work with. If you think I might be the right person for your ghostwriting, illustration, book layout, or design needs, please don't hesitate to reach out. I love being a part of some beautiful new creation and will be your biggest cheerleader through the process.

I am very enthusiastic about writing narrative for video games. I am attending Full Sail for this very field and hope I can find many opportunities. I have written narratives for a mobile game that centers around romance and comedy and scripts for animated shorts that were around a 2500 words limit on Word.
I prefer longer projects with a higher word count limit as well as work that is not completely restrictive. I enjoy working with those with similar minds so that we are on the same page. I am open to writing all sorts of genres though my favorites are horror, suspense, and mystery.
