Need an AI agent, RAG chatbot, or automation system that actually ships to production — not just a proof of concept? With 5 years of software development experience, I build full-stack AI products end-to-end: from the LLM/vector-search backend to the web app clients use every day.
I specialize in:
🤖 AI Agents & LLM Systems — RAG pipelines, OpenAI/LLM integration, vector search (ChromaDB, FAISS), prompt engineering, semantic & hybrid search, AI agent development
🔌 Automation & Integrations — workflow automation, API integrations, web scraping, chatbot development
🖥️ Full-Stack Web Apps — React, Angular, Node.js/Express, Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), C#/.NET & Blazor
🗄️ Data — MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Apache Superset dashboards
Over the past 5 years I've worked across web development, desktop applications, machine learning, and automation — which means I don't just plug in an API and call it done. I design the system architecture, handle the messy edge cases (rate limits, latency, hallucination control, data pipelines), and deliver something you can hand to your team or customers with confidence.
I'm responsive, communicate in plain English (not just code dumps), and treat every project like it's going into production — because it usually is.
Have a project in mind? Send me a message and let's talk about what you're trying to build.

I build admin dashboards, internal tools, and SaaS apps with React and
Next.js, and I stay to grow them for years.
For 6 years I was the sole developer of a retail analytics platform: React
frontend, NestJS backend, ClickHouse for analytics. It processes 100,000+
events per day from 10 shopping malls and still runs in production on its
original architecture, 8+ years without a rewrite. That's how I work: from the
first screen to a product that keeps running long after launch.
What I do:
• Admin panels and dashboards on top of your API or database: tables, charts,
filters, roles, PDF/Excel exports
• Internal tools that replace spreadsheets and manual processes
• Data-heavy UIs that stay fast: complex analytics queries, large datasets,
sub-second rendering
• Full-stack SaaS from zero to production: architecture, React/Next.js/
TypeScript frontend, Node.js/NestJS backend, PostgreSQL/ClickHouse, Stripe
• Fixing and productionizing AI-generated apps (Lovable, v0, Bolt, Cursor):
security, architecture, tests, deployment
Recent work: a subscription app for a VPN service with a 90K-subscriber
audience (shipped in a week, still maintained), a social platform frontend
serving 10K users, a booking platform with Stripe holds and split payments.
How I work: async-first. You get clear written updates, small predictable
iterations, and honest estimates. Send me your spec or a Figma file, or I'll
help you define the scope if you don't have one yet. Every project includes
30 days of free bug fixes after delivery. Most of my clients stay for the
long term.
Tech: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL,
ClickHouse, Redis, Stripe, Docker, CI/CD.

Backend engineer with around 10 years of experience. Main languages are PHP, Go, and Python. Over the last few years more of the work has been AI systems: Claude/OpenAI integrations, retrieval pipelines, MCP servers, inference APIs, and the backend infrastructure around them, usually inside products that are already running in production and cannot realistically be rewritten from scratch.
Most of the AI work I get starts the same way: there is already a Laravel or Symfony application in production, the business wants AI features added, and nobody wants to rebuild the whole thing in Python. Most AI freelancers stay inside pure Python stacks, so I usually end up handling the integration work directly in the existing backend architecture.
A lot of the time I get pulled in after an MVP or prototype already shipped and now has to survive production traffic, scale properly, and stop falling apart under load.
About 10 years in backend development, roughly in order of depth: PHP, Go, then Python. The experience is not limited to web stacks either - I can comfortably navigate existing Java and Ruby backend applications when the job requires understanding an unfamiliar codebase, integrations, or surrounding infrastructure.
Most of my recent work has been backend-heavy AI systems: retrieval/search over company data, Claude/OpenAI integrations, MCP servers for Claude Desktop and Cursor, async processing pipelines, API architecture, performance work, and production debugging when the AI layer starts interacting with real traffic.
Some of my code is public on GitHub (@TopWent). The main one I would point at first is mcp-clickhouse, an MCP server in Go with a SQL guard that blocks multi-statement and comment-hidden injection instead of only checking whether a query starts with SELECT. There is also vector-search-api, where I experimented with fine-tuning, ONNX quantization, and embedding retrieval pipelines before exposing everything through FastAPI.
How I work: text-first communication, small reviewable changes, tests, and documentation that lets the next engineer onboard without long handoff calls. If an existing library already solves the problem properly, I usually prefer that over rebuilding things for the sake of it.
Currently available for long-term or contract work. Strongest on systems that already exist in production and need AI capabilities added without destabilizing the rest of the backend.

I build products that solve operational problems.
I work best with founders who know what problem they want solved, but don't yet have a clean technical plan.
I enjoy working on SaaS platforms, internal business systems, APIs, automation, AI workflows, and existing codebases.
A few products built by me alone:
• Submeto — Form submission workflow platform
• TheTickBase — Market data platform
• TheTickBase News — AI-powered event intelligence platform
• GoldWatch — Real-time macroeconomic monitoring
• Kakei — Personal finance SaaS

I fix broken data platforms. I am an independent Senior Data Architect and Engineer who takes on the messes nobody else wants: out-of-control Snowflake bills, undocumented ERPs, and orchestration sprawls built by people long gone.
I work fast, meet clients wherever they are already running (AWS, Azure, GCP), and ship platforms that data teams can actually run without me.
What I deliver:
• Aggressive Cloud Cost-Outs: I specialize in slashing bloated cloud bills. I recently cut $60K/month from a US retail client's Snowflake bill in a 2-month engagement by replacing full-refresh ETLs with CDC, migrating 1,200 Workato recipes to 10 unified Airflow DAGs, and moving analytical workloads to ClickHouse.
• Streaming & Lakehouse Architecture: I build high-throughput systems from zero. Recent win: Designed and shipped the end-to-end ClickHouse + Redpanda streaming architecture for a SaaS product automating data quality monitoring, replacing batch processes with near-real-time analytics.
• Enterprise Migrations & Tooling: When off-the-shelf converters fail, I build my own. I wrote custom Python + LLM tooling that accurately translated and migrated ~1,350 data objects from Snowflake to ClickHouse (DDL generation, dialect translation) in ~5 days.
• Microsoft Fabric & Power BI: I led the Excel-to-Fabric lakehouse migration for a 1,200-store retail network—building Delta tables, row-level security models, and a custom Flask operational app to feed governed data upstream.
The Stack I live in:
ClickHouse, Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, Redpanda/Kafka, Microsoft Fabric.
Languages: Python, Go (Golang), SQL.
Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP.
How I work:
— Strategic Partner: I am not a ticket-taker. I audit your infrastructure, propose the architectural fix, and execute it.
— Built to Hand Off: I ship, document, and transfer ownership. I do not build black-box systems to force vendor lock-in.
— Flexible Engagement: Fixed-scope or hourly. Open to short, high-impact contracts (cost-outs, architecture audits, rescues) or long-term lead roles with serious data teams.
— Bilingual EN/ES, fully remote across US/EU time zones.
If your data infrastructure is bottlenecking your growth or burning your runway, let's talk.
