We need a tool to be made that works within AutoDesk Inventor and checks the current drawing document for missing dimensions and graphically shows the user which ones it found. For example, if the overall length of the part is not dimensioned and a chamfer is not called out, the script could be run and these two missing dimensions would be listed, letting the user decide to add them or not. This tool would need to work with primarily parts turned from round stock. This means any of the following missing callouts would need to be alerted: * Diameters * Lengths * Distance to features / changes in diameter * Chamfers * Hole callouts / location * Groove widths * ...any other dimension or feature callout that is required to make the part We'd prefer the tool be made using iLogic so that the code can be given to us for ownership at the end of the job. Our company struggles with documents being released with missing or unattached dimensions, and we're currently unable to hire a dedicated document checker. This is why we need the tool. Attached is a PDF showing a typical part that we produce, for reference. Before making a proposal, please be sure you: * Have worked with iLogic before or have made Inventor Plugins before * Understand the job. If you have questions, let me know. * Are a good communicator and have a strong grasp of the English language. This is very important, as communication on this project will be critical. Thank you.

I am looking for someone to help finish a project that I have been working on for the past year. It is in Solidworks type of files but I am the inventor and developer, while someone did all of the 3D modeling work for me. I was interested in someone with experience in 3D CAD and product design that can assist me in taking my ideas and revising the files. 3D CAD expertise is obviously mandatory and experience in the product development/design field is a plus.

Nikolas Weinstein Studio is transferring to Fusion 360 to make use of its modelling and CAD/CAM output capabilities. We are looking for someone to: - Partake in one on one (screen share style) tutorial sessions. - Answer questions related to the modelling and CAD/CAM processes. - Offer alternative, more economic, approaches to the outputs that we are currently using. - Offer general advice, share knowledge and techniques. - Be readily available (within reason) to share screens and problem solve. We require someone with strong Fusion 360 experience, who has worked using the CAD/CAM section of the software. Tutorials would be held with one person from NWS using Zoom, which allows screen share, note taking and control over the web. Example of current problems faced: - CAM setup (with 3 operations) appears to run fine in simulation, no errors. No apparent problems. - G Code export reports a failed file (see attached). - Run time on whole setup is 10.0 hours, run times on individual operations equate to 2.0 hours.

I have a several Autodesk Inventor assemblies that I need exported to DWG. The script is needed to change a parameter, update the assembly, export the DWG and repeat that over and over for a range of parameters. A more detailed description with video can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rrmaoxjrq183tpe/Script%20Request.mp4?dl=0

I’m trying to generate a FBX file for use within a VR environment. I can do the import to the VR environment myself, my challenge is that I need the FBX file to be significantly compressed. I am trying to create a manageable FBX file with limited polygons which still has the visual integrity of one without limits. I need to be able to place unique items in specific locations within a composite model. I’m limited to STEP file from conception. I believe if I can simplify the STEP files in Inventor and reduce the polygon count, I’ll be able to carry those efficiencies throughout my work flow and eventually have a lean composite model capable of meeting all of my requirements. Please see the attached .PDF for a full description + screenshots of the problem.
