I've been asked to put together a proposal, to apply for funding, from a corporation, for our Project. We are a Saas company which provides spoken English and Mandarin training to teachers and students. The CSR project we will launch is for the Thai market. The reason we are starting this project is because: 1. Thailand is rated 76 out of 84 countries for spoken English proficiency 2. 5 months ago, the Ministry of education gave a English Proficiency test to 20,000 English teachers in Thailand. Out of the 20,000 teachers, only 6 qualified. 3. Thailand has joined ASEAN as of January, 2016. The official language of ASEAN is English. 4. Thailands has a very close relationship with CHina. Hence, Mandarin Chinese proficiency is needed here as well. 5. Thailand will need 100's of billions of dollars and 50 years to help it become bilingual. They don't have that kind of money nor the time. 6. decision makers looking for "free stuff" to achieve it's goals. All of the free stuff they're looking to use is provided by non-experts, guaranteeing failure. In this case, free is too expensive. The project: 1. is to train all the teachers in Thailand to become English proficient, for free. 2. to provide sponsored training to students from economically challenged homes, to become English proficient for free. 3. Our platform, with it's teachers support tools and proven results can achieve this. I will work the the winning bidder to provide the needed context to complete this project. Not a difficult project for someone with experience.

The initial proposal is a pilot project in the town of Buchanan, Liberia, the 5th poorest country in the world. Buchanan is a coastal town with a population of 35,000 people. Most of the people are unemployed and the soil is not conducive for agriculture. It is our hope that the Big Opportunity Project (BOP) will motivate residents to acquire new skills to create jobs and opportunities for themselves and their families using the skills they have learned. Also in Buchanan, Liberia, residents do not engage in civic activities because the President of Liberia appoints all governors, all mayors, all judges, all heads of public corporation and all ministers of government. The country is corrupt and the citizens do not benefit from the natural resources and national revenue because government officials get huge salaries and benefits, leaving nothing for basic services, education and healthcare. With civic education, the community will be able to do for themselves what the government cannot do for them and eventually spread democracy to remove the president from power by voting. The president is elected but most people don't vote anymore. In collaboration with places of worship, schools and a community radio station, the project aims to conduct outreach and awareness on the importance of civic engagement, conduct Training Of Trainers who will conduct civic education and voters registration using SMS text messaging, radio and door to door. In order to encourage the people to take interest in the civic education program, the collaborating organizations will institute literacy program, computer literacy program and establish a computer lab to provide training in typing, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suites and grant writing to residents using space and equipment to be purchased and maintained by the collaborating organizations. Upon completion of the training, successful participants will apply for an apprenticeship opportunity using the skills acquired. The best apprentices will be considered for permanent employment. The pilot project will last for 9 months and work with individuals from 100 families within the district. Outreach will aim to create awareness among at lest 50% of the residents of the district. Recruit at least 5 schools and ten places of worship and the community Radio station, Magic 99.3FM. The lead organizations managing the project is Universal Human Rights International (UHRI).
