I'm current working on a automation project to automated the calibration of the pipettes in our laboratory. Here is a video of a robot that manipulated a snigle channel manual pipette. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dT7ti_JksrI We want to do something similar, but at the end of the actuator that pushes down on the pipette plunger, we want to install a spring based platform like the one seen here: http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/n-nr1m3w/ryaihsny/products/81/images/289/__57008.1408609724.1280.1280.jpg?c=2 Please only pay attention to the two faceplates connected by the "scock absorber". We want someone to help us design a similar sistem with the following characteristics: 1. Faceplates should be 2" by 2". 2. The part should be designed so that when it presses down on the plunger the springs exert an initial force of 500 gmf. THe springs should together have a spring rate of .5 Kgf / in 3. The discant between the faceplates should be about 3 to 4" 4. Max Travel of the spring should be about 2 to 2.5". You will provide the design in solidworks. Regards, David

Complete MEP plans for a 2 story house in California, USA. Living space is about 2,200 square feet. I'm in the process of applying for a building permit, where MEP plans are a part of the requirements (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing plans). It is OK if you can do only a part of the job - for example, only electrical or only mechanical plan. Just tell me upfront what you can do. Along with your bid, please provide a rough estimate as to how long it would take you to complete this job. P.S. For the mechanical part of the job, I can provide you with completed per house and per room HVAC load calculations.

3D model of a fireplace prop ready for manufacturer. Concept 3d models have already been created, additional details and features need to be added as per 2d dwg spec sheets. This project requires engineering expertise, model must not only look as per spec, but must be able to assemble. Experience is greatly appreciated, if you see an easier way to manufacture than what was specfied discussion is greatly appreciated. See attached for additional specifications May use a combination of faux brick paneling, injected molded plastic parts, and other parts as for seen by freelancer. Files must be in the .sldprt fromat with an .sldasm assembly file. Updating turn over documentation will also be required at end of project. Work for hire agreement will be required for this project.

I need an experienced HVAC mechanical engineer to work with my HVAC contractor to design a HVAC system for a 10000 square foot single story building. There will need to be zones and certain areas will need 12 air exchanges per hour. Probably want to use a ERV system for these areas, but I am open to suggestions. The building is in Dallas Texas where the primary concern is recovery of cool air. Building layout and dimensions to be provided upon hire.

I am looking for an engineer who can help us develop a design of a 20 feet (6.1 m) long, 8 feet (2.44 m) wide container for CNG Tanks. This container should hold a series of tanks connected to each other to create a bundle. The idea is to design and optimize the materials of the container by virtually testing it (considering stresses, fatigue, etc.) so we can have the most efficient type with the least weight possible, easy to manufacture, and of course able to hold as much tanks as possible. The structural steel shapes should be commercial ASTM standards (EN) and material should be weathering steel “Corten steel” to avoid rust and which would have to be coated with a ceramic insulation. The container should have vents on the top so if there is any leak the gas could get out of the container easily (note: natural gas is less dense than air so it would automatically go up to the atmosphere fast) this design should let all the gas escape quickly. The container should also have water drainage. It should be design with lugs to be able to load it easily into a trailer platform. This container would be primarily use to supply natural gas to communities or places where there is no pipelines available, so it is also important that when placed on the ground it has no problems with rain water. They should also have connections in both of their sides so you can connect several containers together on both of their ends. Link for more information and dimensions on the tanks: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/u4jc9zsjzl1awhb/AACRuOCU8E46i1efa8bCVSUBa?dl=0 (4" should be added to each side of the tank for valves and conections) We would need a 3D design in solid works and also develop the show drawings for fabrication.
