LexRex Legal Support and Marketing

LexRex Ph is a one-stop shop for legal support and marketing services. This site showcases projects that will help law firms and lawyers increase productivity and visibility. Bryan Villarosa, a Juris Doctor and a Marketing Management major, established LexRex Ph during his law school years, with a primary aim to share his notes, tips, and learnings with law students. Later, Bryan considered expanding his marketing services to lawyers, law firms, and businesses in general. LexRex means “the law is king.” As for marketing, this means that both the laws of science and the laws of art are kings. Data and research must drive marketing to understand customer behavior, test campaigns, and make strategic decisions. At the same time, one must use art to resonate with the audience, create branding and messaging that make campaigns stand out. As to its meaning, LexRex means that we are to look up to the Law as the Supreme Guide in all aspects of our lives—in finance, business, personal and family relations, labor/work, travel, ethics, property, tax, and education. Politically, LexRex means that even kings must bow before the Law —that we must be a government of laws, not of men — and that anyone who stands before the law finds himself on level ground. LexRex was inspired by the book, “Lex, Rex”, written by a Scottish Presbyterian minister named Sam Rutherford in 1644. That book defended the rule of law and advocated for limited government and constitutionalism in politics and opposes “royal absolutism” (where the king’s whims and orders are absolute). That book utilized Natural Law, Scriptures (Divine Law), and Scottish Law (Positive Law), and emphasized the importance of a Supreme Covenant upon which a country should adhere. That book served as a seed for John Locke’s “social contract” political theory. This theory posits that individuals have consented to surrender their individual freedoms in exchange for protection and maintenance of social order.
