As an award-winning journalist with experience working at a digital publication, I can quickly write factual content and opinion pieces. 🎥 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗠 𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗣𝗧𝗦 Many clients struggle to transfer their ideas into video format because they need a writer to summarize their points succinctly in a style that packs a punch. Whether it's through radio, podcast, and TV commercials or explainer videos and online courses, I'll ensure your message is effectively communicated to your intended audience on both traditional and digital channels. 🏆 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗦 • Business and Arts South Africa Silver Award for Journalism in the News Category (2016) 📝 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗜 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 I work on both one-off and long-term collaborations with clients. For long-term collaborations, I request clients: • Agree to a set volume of work per week/month: This ensures I can plan my schedule and dedicate the time needed to deliver work everyone is proud of. • Give notice: Let me know a month in advance if you wish to end our contract. Again, this helps me plan my workflow. And if, for whatever reason, you need to pause the project, pop me a message. I have clients who work with me on an ad-hoc basis. It's much easier to reschedule projects when I know what's up. • Don't ghost: If we've started a contract, but you no longer wish to work with me, please let me know. If I cannot reach you after contacting you three times, I will presume you wish to terminate our contract and do so. Robust communication and clear deadlines allow me to do my best work for you. 👀 𝗔 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘 𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗜 Currently, there are two approaches to AI: cost-cutting and Google-flagging fears. As a writer with over ten years of experience, I've recently explored "humanizing AI." Here's my take: ORIGINALITY AI-generated content lacks the nuance, brevity, and creativity of a seasoned copywriter. Right now, this may not be true for one or two blog posts or even ten pieces of content you need. However, as more people use AI over the long term, content homogenization will become a huge risk. Do you really want your marketing materials to sound like 90% of the internet's? HUMANIZING AI I can edit your AI copy, but I charge standard rates. From experience, extensively editing AI-generated content to make it sound human is more time-consuming and ultimately less efficient than starting fresh. Plus, if the writing is technical, I have to fact-check everything since AI isn't always accurate. Hiring a human writer to craft your content is the best option if you want engaging copy. If you're paying a flat fee for content, which I prefer, then know it's in my best interest to do the work as efficiently as possible. Clear, well-written human copy also minimizes editing time, which saves clients money. AI DETECTION SOFTWARE I'm happy to work with your preferred program, but clear, concise language - often the goal of good communication - can be misidentified as AI. It's happened to me in the past. After all, there are only so many ways you can say, "The cat sat on the mat." Through a case-by-case approach, I ensure your content connects with audiences through compelling storytelling, whether or not you use AI. 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 • My rates reflect a commitment to premium content that drives results. • I have a strong track record of writing content for UK, USA, and Canadian clients. • I only do paid test assignments. Sample writing requires the same effort as the real thing. - $100/hr $100 hourly

ScriptingVideo Game WritingWritingScriptScreenplayCreative WritingHumorVideo Game DialogueHumor WritingScriptwritingFilm ScreenplayComedyElearning VideoTV ScreenplayWelcome to your one stop sho... Scratch that, one stop shops are just code for "Come in and take a look around! Everything in here is just meh." Here are the things I do well: 1. Scriptwriting (screenplays, sketches, educational scripts, marketing scripts, etc.) 2. Comedy Writing (broad comedy, satire, snark-filled tirades, etc.) 3. Education Documentation (lesson plans, curriculum, etc.) With all that being said, my main goal is to produce quality work for you. If interviewed, you can expect me to ask a ton of project-specific questions right away. It is super important for me to develop a comprehensive understanding of your needs from all angles, so I like to delve deep before digging into the work. You should also know that I'm quite a stickler for deadlines. Something like a full-length screenplay script will take a lot longer than a short explainer video script, so I like to have a very clear idea of when you need the material delivered. It's beneficial for you, but it also allows my bed to know when I'll come home to rest. It gets jealous seeing me spend lots of late nights at my desk. - $40/hr $40 hourly

Story DevelopmentScreenplayCreative WritingGhostwritingScript AnalysisHumor WritingScriptwritingStorytellingScriptScriptingMovieFilm ScreenplayComedyEnglishI have been working as a professional screenwriter the past two decades. During this time, more than a dozen of my screenplays have been purchased and produced, from theatrical features ("Mail Order Monster," "The Sex Trip") and TV movies ("The Christmas Chalet," "All I Want for Christmas") to web series ("Soccer & Drinks"), commercials (eHow) and other short-form content. I am represented in Hollywood by a major talent agency (Zero Gravity Management) and have been hired to write scripts numerous Hollywood A-Listers, from director Sam Raimi to actor Ashton Kutcher. If you'd like a novel faithfully adapted for the screen, if you have an amazing idea for a movie or TV show but you're not sure how to bring it to life, or if you already have a script but would like it to be leveled-up, I would be thrilled to work with you to create a screenplay that will stand out from the crowd in Hollywood. - $75/hr $75 hourly

Video CommercialHumor WritingFilm DirectionPitchbookFilm ProductionCreative DirectionVideo ProductionCreative WritingAd CreativeFilmShort Story WritingAdvertisingCopywritingStorytellingA great idea is only valuable once people can see it, feel it, fund it, watch it, or buy it. That’s where I come in. I’m Alex Morsanutto, an award-winning writer, director, producer, screenwriter, and founder of Silvermine Productions. I help filmmakers, founders, brands, production companies, and startups turn ideas into scripts, pitch decks, commercials, branded films, crowdfunding videos, and production-ready creative packages. My background sits at the intersection of film development, TV development, screenwriting, creative producing, and commercial video production. I can help bring a movie, TV pilot, limited series, or documentary concept to life — while also bringing that same cinematic storytelling, production discipline, and audience-first thinking to brand videos, product videos, YouTube scripts, social ads, Kickstarter campaigns, and short-form content. Most recently, I wrote, directed, and produced Dark Skulls, a Viking psychological thriller feature film shot in Norway with an international cast and crew. I also produced TRAPPED, which won a Special Jury Award at SXSW, and Scent of Pho, a feature film with a worldwide release approaching $2M in gross. On the commercial side, I’ve created video content for brands including Unilever, Mastercard, Chevrolet, Zenni, Kiehl’s, Brother, and The Atlantic. My work has lived across broadcast commercials, digital campaigns, branded content, social media, documentary shorts, crowdfunding campaigns, film festivals, and narrative platforms. What makes me useful is that I don’t just write the thing. I understand how to build the thing. I can help shape the concept, sharpen the hook, structure the story, write the script, develop the pitch, think through production realities, and make sure the idea feels clear, compelling, cinematic, and actually executable. I can help with: Feature film development TV pilots, limited series, and scripted series concepts Screenplays, treatments, outlines, script rewrites, and dialogue polish Series bibles, pitch decks, loglines, synopses, and investor-facing materials Commercial scripts, brand films, branded content, and product videos YouTube scripts, short-form video concepts, social ads, and high-retention hooks Kickstarter videos, crowdfunding campaigns, and launch videos Creative producing, story consulting, and production strategy Full-service video production from concept through delivery If you have a film, show, brand, product, true story, campaign, or half-formed idea that needs to become real, I can help turn it into something people understand, remember, and want to watch. I don’t just make videos. I help build the story, the package, and the path to bring it to life. I’ve worked internationally across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and I’m comfortable jumping into projects at any stage. I prefer to work on a flat-fee basis with 50% upfront and 50% on delivery. If you want something sharp, cinematic, and actually effective, let’s talk. - $50/hr $50 hourly

I bring 15+ years of experience writing, producing, and editing content for HBO, Discovery, and Apple TV, along with major brands like Mattel, Verizon, and McDonald’s, delivering broadcast-level storytelling for commercial video. My background in television, streaming, and feature film production allows me to apply cinematic pacing, structure, and narrative clarity to brand videos, ads, explainers, testimonials, and social campaigns designed to capture attention and drive results. I run a full-service video production and content marketing studio working with brands, SaaS companies, startups, and nonprofits to produce video ads, social content, testimonials, pitch videos, and written copy that supports sales, marketing, and growth teams. Clients hire me when they want polished, professional content that combines editorial storytelling with marketing strategy — not generic freelancer output. I also offer script development, screenplay coverage, and story consulting for brands, studios, and creators who need clear structure, character, and narrative flow for narrative, branded, or long-form video projects.
