Skilled Translator with Experiences in Professional Settings

Hi I'm Makoto, I was born in Shizuoka, Japan, and grew up within walking distance of Mt Fuji. 🏔️ While studying at Nihon University I moved to America to complete one year of study abroad at Roanoke College which helped immensely with my English, I then returned to Japan to finish my major in international relations. In 2015 I completed the internationally recognised TOEIC English language test with a score of 900 out of 990, since then i've had experience working in a Tokyo trading company for two years where I was responsible for translating high-quality reports into Japanese from international trading clients. Following that I lived and worked in many English-speaking countries including New Zealand, Fiji, and the UK working in many English only roles improving my skills even further and helping me learn local lingo. I have been translating professionally on Upwork since 2019. My experience is based on the following 💼 - Providing Professional translations from English to Japanese and visa versa. - Transcribing audio for various customers ranging from the Olympics to Anime. - Assisting clients with knowledge of the Japanese language. - Subtitling in English and Japanese.
