Android Developer

I am Ye Myat Thu, an experienced Android Developer with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry. Throughout my career, I have gained valuable expertise in Android development, specifically in the realm of mobile applications. Currently, I hold the position of Mobile Lead (Risk) at SHIELD, a global enterprise cyber protection company. In this role, I am responsible for developing and maintaining mobile security and fingerprinting SDKs for both Android and iOS platforms. I extensively utilize Java, Kotlin, and Swift to create robust solutions. Additionally, I stay at the forefront of the industry by conducting research on the latest technologies related to mobile security, including device identification methods such as detecting jailbroken/rooted devices, emulators, and cloners. I am also well-versed in various methods of root hiding, such as Magisk Hide, Zygisk, and Shamiko. Moreover, I actively explore techniques for detecting freshly factory reset devices and finding device identifiers that persist across factory reset. As part of my role, I develop and maintain gradle plugins that automate the code injection process into client apps. Furthermore, I am involved in researching and implementing obfuscation and code hardening methods to enhance application security. To gain insights into different applications, I decompile and recompile them using tools like jadx, apktool, and ghidra. Additionally, I effectively communicate with customers, providing support and solving integration issues. Furthermore, I take pride in mentoring and guiding a group of talented mobile engineers. Prior to my current position, I worked as a Software Engineer - Mobile at SHIELD, where I played a vital role in developing and maintaining mobile security and fingerprinting SDKs for Android and iOS platforms. This experience allowed me to sharpen my skills in research, code injection, obfuscation, and code hardening. I have also held positions as an Android Engineer at 99 Group, where I implemented new features, collaborated with design teams to ensure pixel-perfect designs, and improved app stability and performance. During my time at Lomotif, I honed my skills in writing high-quality, maintainable code, optimizing application performance and scalability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions efficiently. Early in my career, I worked as an Android Developer at PlayerPro, where I was responsible for translating designs into high-quality code, ensuring application performance and responsiveness, and identifying and resolving bottlenecks and bugs. Additionally, I worked at Revo Digital and Zwenexsys Co. Ltd as an Android Developer, where I gained extensive experience in developing and maintaining various mobile projects, consulting on growth strategies, and reviewing codebases while mentoring junior developers. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Nautical Science from Myanmar Maritime University. I have also earned certifications in Developing Android Apps and Android Developer Nanodegree from Udacity, further strengthening my knowledge and expertise in the field. In addition to my Android development skills, I am proficient in CSS, SQLite, and working with mobile devices. I also possess knowledge in Java, project management, English, JavaScript, and HTML5. One notable accomplishment of mine was winning the Second Prize at the Mae Pay Soh Hackathon for developing an Android Application aimed at voter's education during the Myanmar Historical Election in 2015. The application I developed can be found on the Google Play Store. Overall, I bring extensive experience in Android development, a passion for staying updated with the latest technologies, and a proven ability to collaborate with teams and deliver exceptional results.
