Multi-Cloud Architect

I am a #Multicloud Certified Solutions Architect Expert/Professional on all three major clouds. I also hold a Google Professional Network Engineer certification and expert SASE certifications. Whether you are building something new or migrating your existing infrastructure to the cloud, I definitely recommend you at least explore all clouds and identify those which will give your business the most value in return. While every solution isn't a candidate for multi-cloud architecture, it should always at least be considered. If a single cloud will provide the best value for the business then I am happy to design your new architecture for you. The advantages of going multi-cloud include very high redundancy (99.999% uptime), cost savings and unique service benefits that come by using the best possible service for the job rather than whichever service any one cloud provides. I will explore the multi-cloud option with you and design the optimal solution, whether it's single cloud, hybrid cloud/on-prem or multi-cloud. There is one potential drawback to multicloud - complexity. If your architecture isn't designed right then it's more complex to operate. It's important we get this right the first time. I will make that happen. I have been designing, building, and troubleshooting since I was barely a teenager. My experience goes back nearly 40 years. I was one of the first creators of intelligent shopping carts – the very beginning of e-commerce, with intelligent fraud detection and pro-active up-selling built-in. I have designed, built, and maintained a (very) well-connected network, an autonomous system spanning two continents and directly connecting to nearly 1300 corporate and ISP networks. I also designed and built software to support it, so the clients who relied on it were better equipped to succeed. I never had a big financial backer and so I learned how to do it efficiently, leveraging open-source software whenever possible. I ended up selling that company last year to a competitor for seven figures. The company itself was hosting high-frequency traders who traded FOREX on the open market 24/5. This left little room for downtime. In fact, the platform was so stable that it was the only company in the space to offer a 100% uptime guarantee. These types of networks are not difficult if you design them properly. I can do that for you. I know code, ASP, VB, PHP, C++, C#, Python, Power Shell. You name it I probably have done it or can do it. I know databases, usually working with mySQL (because it's powerful AND free), but also others including MS SQL or NoSQL. I know IP networking, having worked with Cisco, VyOS, and Mikrotik equipment. I prefer VyOS because it's free, powerful and can run insanely fast on custom and inexpensive hardware. Free and powerful is great for the bottom line. I love streaming media. In fact, I was one of the early pioneers having created a webcam of San Diego that has evolved and continues operating to this day. I don't mean just a camera hooked to the Internet. I mean encoders, transcoders, clusters of media servers, and intelligent delivery to edge networks over very low latency connections using BGP routing tables, databases, and (custom) intelligent routing software. I can work on Linux or Windows. Linux is free and so my solutions will tend to favor Linux but I will use Windows when appropriate. As a former executive of a hosting company, I know about the bottom line and keeping costs down – and building that into the solution from the ground up. I need new challenges. It's in my DNA.
