The services I provide are: - Assessments, interviews and other inquiries to properly ascertain areas where financial practices can be improved - Development of processes, procedures and models that can be applied to properly control and manage financial activities - Training, mentoring and other guidance to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Client and/or Client personnel in the area of financial management - Preparing monthly and yearly financial statements to analyze the health of the business to include the following: Executive Summary, Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Budget Variance Report (Budgeted vs Actual Results) - Accurate coding of income and expenses of the business via QuickBooks Online - Bank and QuickBooks reconciliations - Weekly Client invoicing - Follow-up on past due invoice to increase cash flow. - Processing of payroll - Ensuring the payroll taxes are paid electronically - Being the focal point for payroll communications - Processing all bill payments to vendors, payments for tradelines, and utilities/office expenses (all payments will require an invoice/statement prior to payment being sent) - Assist Client with the preparation of the annual budget - Preparing journal entries to ensure accuracy as it pertains to the balances of each account at the end of the month - Suggesting and implementing tax saving strategies - Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual taxes to the appropriate agencies - Assisting with document preparation for Certified Public Accountant in support of annual tax filings - Assist with remitting 1099s to all Contractors annually by January 31st - Assist with building the proper profiles for all Contractors in QuickBooks Online - Preparing and gathering documentation for audit support - Assisting with reorganizing past files and keeping current files organized - Assisting with the implementation of time tracking and payroll system - Assisting with the registration of new companies/dissolution of current companies in different jurisdictions

"MJ was very kind and knowledgeable, however there were a few reasons we could no longer work with her. She was great with providing reports and information, however she lacked when it came to deadlines and communication. Our past-due sales tax returns were our biggest priority and after more than a month of our contract being active, she still had not yet filed them. We were then told that we needed to upgrade our Shopify account in order for her to be able to complete the returns. We've since hired a CPA who filed our sales tax returns without needing us to upgrade to a more expensive Shopify plan."
