"I have the entire email traffic to prove every single one of the review points below: (1) This company promised to complete the project in 8-10 working days, but it took them 35/36 days. I had to push them day 32/33 onwards to wrap it all up quickly. They were telling me it is 80-90% done and need little more time. I pushed them very hard to the finish line by Day 35/36 and quickly ended the contract when they finished the necessary technical work required on the blog design project. (2) In the beginning, they quoted me a lump sum price of $600 flat all-inclusive, and then tried to add 18-20 more hours mid-way through the project. I rejected their request. To their credit, they did not charge me more than agreed upon lump sum. (3) Communication is quite a bit lacking as it's little difficult to get them to respond back in a timely fashion. The reason could be that they are swamped with projects. (4) You send them a long list of changes to be made to the website, and they incorporate their own ideas into it and send back something else. (5) I specifically asked them to buy a very specific template and build on that. They even told me that $50-60 is added to their lump sum price and they will buy the template. Instead, they did not buy the template they promised they will buy and did their own thing, on their own. They went their own way and designed their own thing. (6) The technical expert they assigned did not have the depth and breadth of technical expertise required to work on this simple blog design project. (7) Out of sheer frustration, I requested the entire $600 refund from this company directly on Day 33-34. They took their roundabout explanations by telling me, “You have a simple blog site ready, what else you want?” (9) I wrote this review and told the company to read it first and talk to me. They never bothered to respond. When they finished the project on Day 35/36 timeframe, they asked me to, “leave no review and give only 5-star ratings.” (10) To their credit, they worked very hard to make amends in the last 3-4 days of the project span to get few things right, but train had already left the station. The damage was already done. For cooperation, I am even willing to give them 5-stars, but some things become useless when they happen too late in the game. In the end, I did not request refund from Upwork or my credit card company, as I don't just want to deal with this company and drag this issue anymore. In sum, I guess I got what I paid for. I fell for a very competitive quote and good reviews, but little did I know what would be waiting for me behind their curtains. In conclusion, I will not be using this company again."
Freelancer's response
"Dear freelancers please stay away such kind of clients who are very unprofessional who don’t know how to proceed with the projects. Dear Bhawan please also mention in your review about your changes after the approval of designs and your server issues. # When client comes with their first requirements he want simple news website but after some days ago their requirements change day by day. But they are unable to express their original requirements # The quotation was $600 for theme setup and make some changes and content migration not for the mockup designs about main pages and inner pages. Please also check the entire earning of that project : http://prntscr.com/l785fs # No doubt he respond very quickly on every message at any time i have also complete lot of work without payment even fix server issues which not comes under the project requirements. But there expectations increase day by day."
