"We asked that the freelancer use the correct interface wording for a literal interface demo video. Part of the reason a translator was hired was to make sure that the interface wording was correct! This was specified in the first message we sent after hiring the freelancer.
However, the freelancer sent us an incorrect translation. When we kindly requested that this be corrected, and provided an annotated screenshot of where the correct wording could be found, the freelancer failed to follow instructions, and became increasingly argumentative.
Rather than being so argumentative, she could have focused on simply resolving the issue.
She then insisted that we just use her translation of the interface wording, rather than having her confirm that this wording matched the interface wording.
Given the fact that this video was an interface demo, and that the translator has been hired in part to ensure that our translation matches the interface language, this was an unreasonable position to be put in.
The result of this has been delays on our workflow, complication in our workflow, and a very unpleasant personal experience of dealing with such argumentativeness."
