Instructional Design, eLearning Developer, LMS Guru & PowerPoint Wizz

I have an extensive background in education and training in both corporate and government sectors. My primary specialties are instructional design, online learning development, and face-to-face workshop resources. I am very savvy with Articulate Storyline and Rise and have strong visual design skills. I am really adept at PowerPoint to create engaging and meaningful presentations. I'm not too fond of the click, click, click and always ensure my work is relevant, engaging and learner-centric. My experience has primarily been in the health sector, the for-purpose sector, workplace culture programs and systems training. I recently wrote and developed the online systems training for NSW Mass Vaccination Centres with a competency assessment. I also work frequently with an Engineering organisation to develop face-to-face workshop resources. I have worked long-term with a US-based company developing programs for kids on self-esteem, cooking, etiquette, goal setting, and similar development programs. I love that. It's fun and challenging to get right so the kids don't feel like they're doing another school program. I spent 7 years as Director of a unit responsible for online education at NSW Health, developing everything from systems training, clinical training to soft skills programs. I won a finalist award in the Learning Performance Institute Awards in 2019 as Learning Leader of the Year and a Gold LearnX Award for Best Learning Manager. I have particular interests in social and population health programs as well as workplace culture and driving success in teams. I'm passionate about learner-centric training and making sure that participants are ACTUALLY learning from the resource and not just providing a tick box exercise. THAT is not my thing.
