Teaching and learning are my mantras when it comes to life. As an in-person instructor, I wrote my own curriculum and state standards. After leaving the teaching field, I have utilized all forms of online formats to teach people from all over the world topics such as gardening, camping, and floral design. As an educational professional, I understand how people learn and the types of learners along with utilizing the correct cyber medium to reach any business's demographic. This includes the science of proper blog development, which includes the science of length, SEOs, and hyperlinking. Video development is another area that I excel in through the importance of length and our attention span. Both of these services I used while working for an online gardening magazine and camping site With these unique assortment of skills, I have applied the science of learning to social media marketing and videos. i started the YouTube channel for The Weekend Gardener from scratch. While the company has been sold, the channel is still in use with only my work. As of January 2021, there are over 6,840 subscribers and 4,417,639 views. While the YouTube channels that I have created have been very successful, I am also using ZOOM and Facebook live to reach learners in the gardening topic along with adult ed. presently, I am teaching several different classes through a program called LevelUp. As part of my gardening class, I have written an eBook to cover the topics more in detail. This includes links to videos I have made that show how to do certain skills. Due to the change in education, I am also using video conferencing as a tool for individual coaching on several topics. Beyond eBooks I have written for the classes I teach, I have also taken my BS in Agriculture along with my teaching experience and written three books that I have self-published on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. AS a polymath, I continue to take my education and experience in several different directions and mediums to be able to successfully teach the mass through cyberspace.
