*We don't often use UpWork to generate new business. All businesses have a story, and I'd love to share a little bit about why mine is one you may find rather interesting. So, while you're here, why not give it a read? I've been in marketing for the past few years now and I've seen the inside of a number of different businesses, primarily in the hospitality and eCommerce industries. Advertising is something I've had a passion for since my mid-teenage years, alongside business in general - as I follow in the footsteps of my father, the first "entrepreneur" in our family. In full transparency, he's not a multi-million pound business owner - quite the opposite really. He runs a relatively small construction business, and has done so for over 30 years. He's had large contracts, small contracts, and every sort of contract in between. That being said, he never really wanted to grow the business beyond 12 staff members and 3-4 on-going projects at once. Now, you're probably asking yourself what does this have to do with digital advertising. Well, there's two things; firstly, he's managed to generate new and repeat business purely from building a stellar reputation in his industry, becoming known for exceptionally high-quality work over a 30-year period. I have incredible admiration for this, and constantly remind myself of it when considering how my business operates. I strive for unquestionably high-quality work - it's not an option for me, it's the standard. And secondly, that this same sort of high quality work isn't as abundant in the digital advertising industry. There is problem many businesses face when looking for help digitally, and it may be one you may or may not have already been exposed to. In this day and age, there are a vast amount of "experts” and "gurus" out there - often times no more than 20 years of age with no experience. They seem to promise the Earth and more, but often leave their clients disappointed, frustrated and out of pocket - all while still needing the help they sought out in the first place. I found this to be the perfect opportunity to create something that not many people within the industry have created - a service to help businesses see positive and sustainable results. My singular goal in business is to help as many business owners surpass their goals as possible. I really can't be more honest than that. It's something I thrive on, and it truly gives me a sense of purpose. Prospective clients tell me about the issues outlined above very frequently, as well as some of the other problems they often experience: • Low quality site traffic and/or poor conversion rates. • Inconsistent, low or virtually NO return on ad spend (ROAS). • Difficulty competing with other retailers & manufacturers. • Substantial levels of stress over how to efficiently grow their brand the RIGHT way, while also juggling all of the other tasks an online business owner has to deal with on a day to day basis.
