There I was, leaving the office and not coming back because I was told I was no longer needed a month before the job was supposed to conclude. I was editing for a TV Series and the client/network had delivered their notes and for a fourth time in a row, I was the one editor who apparently nailed it on the first pass.
I finished the job a month early because of my efficiency and luckily I know how to repeat it. Thus, the reason why I usually get minimal notes, if any, is my usual outcome.
Enough storytelling. I am a creative director and help to create campaigns that connect with an audience emotionally. I specialize in creating micro-content campaigns in a documentary style. Coming from an editorial background I work a lot in motion graphics creating social media ads for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat, as well as explainer videos & tutorials and more.
My skills are in video production - from start to finish. A question many have is what does that include, so I usually break it down like this.
Content Strategy:
- I help develop a cohesive video strategy that aligns best with what your goals are.
- I help develop a mood & tone to match your branding.
- I help choose the most effective way to execute your campaign, leveraging platform features that help to tell a better and more unique story.
Pre-Production/Production/Post-Production:
- Based on the content strategy I will help create a creative brief & production schedule
- Before shooting I dial in all final logistics
- I either start production or begin the design process for animation
- The editing and/or animation begins
To achieve all of this I implement a few different pieces of software.
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Audition
- DaVinci Resolve
- Blender
- Final Draft
- Google Sheets
- Google Docs
And the hardware that makes it all happen:
- Canon EOS and Cinema Cameras
- Panasonic G series
- RED
- Sony
To give you a little backstory, this is a bit about my work history.
I started work right out of film school for a post-production company that was owned by Kodak. After that, I started working freelance in production and post-production, directed my first feature film (“Bounty” 2009) that is available on Tubi, The Roku Channel, and more. I was asked to direct a second feature film starring Michael Madsen (Kill Bill, Hateful Eight) and Jen Lilley (General Hospital) that was released by PureFlix Entertainment (“Turn Around Jake” 2014). I have worked as an editor for brands such as Nike, Toyota, Uber, CW, CW Seed, Barnes & Noble, Indeed, MoneyLion, and more.
Project Highlights:
I created a 3 part video series for Silver Fox (a presentation design company based in Seattle). We were able to capture their company culture while presenting their technologies in an understandable way. The content captured provided them with clipable content that could last for months. This enabled them with a large library of video content for their social media marketing.
I was tasked with creating a motion graphics template for Indeed to use in converting their blog posts in to shareable video form. I created 4 different styles in which they were able to pull from and more easily allow them to repurpose their existing content for different mediums.
In partnership with Google I produced a Commerical for a charter boat company in the U.S. Virigin Islands.

TESTIMONIALS
"I rarely find 'perfect' writers but Amanda is exactly that. A perfect writer. Each piece reads like a magazine or Fortune-grade advertisement. Color, clarity, and charisma. Amanda conveys this in each piece she creates. This is not an exaggerated review. She really is one of the best writers I've ever come across. "
"We had an immediate jump in applicants the week after sending out the recruiting materials she created. We were a bit hesitant about hiring someone at the higher cost, but she was worth every penny. We will definitely be using her for future projects!"
"The client LOVED the piece, and the experts we interviewed did, too. THANKS SO MUCH for helping us to provide our clients with quality content - especially around building codes! It's a tough topic. "
"After going through ALMOST 200 WRITERS, I settled in on Amanda. You would be wise to hire her, and retain her, for the rest of your life. Not exaggerating. Just superior."
