I have 20+ years of experience in the development and management of online platforms. My main speciality is in community forum platforms such as vBulletin, Xenforo, IPB (Invision Power Board,) Xenforo, phpBB and MyBB. I also have extensive experience in the development and management of CMS platforms such as Wordpress and Joomla. My clients have ranged from sites with over 28,000 daily viewers to private community sites of under 25 registered users. Tasks I often undertake range for daily maintenance, software upgrades, bespoke plugins, malware removal, platform migration, hosting migration and server management. I also have a strong background in the online gaming scene. I worked for the online game planetarion.com for 8 years. In that time I undertook a number of roles in the company which included Public Relations, Support, Game development, Testing and Newsletter Editor. I then spent over 4 years working for playSocial, a developer of Social Games on the Facebook platform. I was initially hired in a customer support role but this quickly expanded into a Community Manager role where I was responsible for handling Support (Providing it directly but also building a support team), Managing the vBulletin based Support Forums (Configuring, Maintain and enhancing) and developing bespoke support tools. With the launch of their second game, my duties were expanded further and I was appointed Quality Assurance Manager. Some of my responsibilities included investigating issues with the games, providing the coders with detailed reports, testing new features, building test teams, developing test plans and collating tester feedback.
