Looking for an expert proofreader/editor with a firm grasp of writing and rational disciplines like science and math? How about a strong streak of artistic creativity as well?
I earned a BA in philosophy and mathematics, so I’ve had enough analytical logic to make Bertrand Russell proud. Then I went on and studied some computer science with a dash of physics, chemistry, and geology thrown in. Finally, after taking all that logic, science, and math, I realized my true love is writing.
That's fate, I guess… Or possibly not.
AI came along and put a serious damper on those pursuits. Now, I’m pivoting into proofreading and editing. It’s a natural shift from writing, I think. I’ve got an excellent sense for the “music of words,” and a natural gift with the written word. I’m great as a second set of eyes on any document, blog post, or other piece.
I’ve self-published four fantasy books, two novellas, and three mini-anthologies (three short stories apiece). Plus, I’ve run blogs on several different personal websites. All of that required a great deal of editing, proofreading, and error-seeking across multiple kinds of writing.
Anyway…
My specific skillset is as follows:
• 15+ years writing, copy editing, and proofreading experience.
• 4 years of content writing and copy writing experience
• 4 years of SEO writing experience
• Knowledge of: Microsoft Office, Google Drive, WordPress, Asana, Slack, and Wrike.
• A B.A. in philosophy and mathematics.
• Familiarity with low-level physics, chemistry, and geology
• 30+ years of fantasy gaming experience (D&D, Warhammer, etc.) as
o player
o gamemaster
o game designer
• 20+ years of worldbuilding experience for fantasy worlds in novels and pen & paper RPG’s
• And close to 2 years of experience using AI Systems like ChatGPT, Jasper, and others.
Oh, and I've also spoken on topics like worldbuilding and the craft of writing. So, if you are looking for an editor/proofreader who can handle both fact and fiction, or either one separately, I’m your guy. (I’m also willing to do non-AI-assisted writing, too – in fact, I prefer it, because I like the craft of writing and I have a number of issues with AI.)

Hello, my name is Ikenna Ajah, a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS and MS in Game Design and Development. I am a big fan of not only video games, but all other forms of media, such as books, anime, animated show and films, and so on. I have been immersed in various of these works ever since I was a child, and one day dreamed of creating my own great work someday. This motivated me to learn game design and development in order to enter the game industry and media and entertainment industry in order to create and present my own work to be displayed to the world, and have it grow into a successful franchise. I have gained a good number of skills while growing up, and expanded them even more upon going into college. I am a very good artist and designer, being able to create promotional material and other visual design of the best quality. I also am a very good writer, with an exceptional handle over the English language, as well as a passion and gift for storytelling. I am very skilled with music, being capable of producing basic tunes to killer songs. Though not my strong suit, I have great proficiency in programming.I utilize the languages of C#, C++, Ink, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. However, my true forte lies in production and management, being able to come up with best of ideas for any new piece of media and have it properly documented for presentation in the future. When going into development, I always know how to come up with a production timeline, organize teams, and assign tasks. If you need any new work to be made, or someone to take charge for production, I'm always up for the job!

I am a cofounder of Create Neptune, a software and game development studio focusing on creating fun, user-focused, and beautiful apps and games for mobile (iOS / Android), web, PC, and consoles. Our developers and designers have worked on franchises like Scrabble and The Sims, and with companies like Mattel, EA, 2K Games, Estée Lauder, The New York Times, AppLovin (Lion Studios), and Boombit. I have led app development projects from the concept phase to post-launch marketing, and I am an expert in all stages of the application and game development life cycle. I am particularly attuned to the commercial side of application and game development: I was previously a hedge fund analyst focusing on the energy and power sector, and a mathematics, economics, and finance instructor.
At Create Neptune I have published dozens of mobile games, with our most successful app Paddle Clash reaching millions of users worldwide since publication in mid-2020 and maintaining a 4.9 / 5.0 globally and 4.7 / 5.0 in the US on the App Store. Aside from our published portfolio, I have concepted, prototyped, and built dozens of other 2D and 3D games for a variety of clients, from Fortune 500 mega-caps to bootstrapped startups.
I have over a decade of experience in game and app development. I typically work in Unity (C#), but I have also worked on successful native apps for iOS (Xcode, Swift) as well (Pandamonium, iOS, 4.7 / 5.0 on App Store).
I have worked on numerous apps from the concept and prototype phases to post-launch marketing, so I can be with you every step of the way in the creative process. Specifically, in addition to coding, I can provide concept and prototype work, professional-quality UI and UX, 2D and 3D artwork, and marketing services.
Lastly, I am very familiar with the post-launch app marketing process and publishing process on both the App Store and Google Play, and I would be happy to help you and your team with my experience.
I began my career in finance as a mergers and acquisitions investment banker and an energy and power analyst at a distressed debt fund, completing the largest leveraged buyout in fund history and managing a book of $1.3 bn of energy and power assets. I have also worked as a mathematics and economics instructor, designing several advanced mathematics and financial analysis courses.
My studio regularly works on cutting edge applications in Unity. Just a few examples:
• We developed Scrabble Vision (Mattel), an AR companion application for the physical Scrabble board game, in Unity
• We developed and helped design RYZ Home (IKIN), a holographic AR application, in Unity
• We developed and designed software for a private research study (Estée Lauder), using OpenCV and AR, in Unity
• We developed and designed StarStarter (Arcade Therapeutics), a digital anxiety treatment game, in Unity
• We developed and helped design Skylar's Run (Thynk), a digital ADHD treatment game, in Unity
• We developed and designed Highlandia (Highlands Community Charter), an English language learning game featuring 10 different mini-games, in Unity
