I am a professional illustrator with the talent and skills to carry your concept to finished project with passion and dedication. My experience with various clients has made me a flexible artist open to outside- of the box and innovative ideas. I work mostly in traditional drawing and painting illustrations, however can do excellent digital work on Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I have worked digitally, traditionally and in public art. One of my most exciting accomplishments was working on the first- ever fully painted, 80- minute feature film, called Loving Vincent, in Poland. I worked on the film with a team of international painter- animators to complete the last frames of the 64000+ frames of the film. It premiered in the United States in October 2017 and is now available on Netflix, and other platforms. I illustrate children's books of all kinds of styles in gouache, watercolor, pen and ink, pencil and mixed media. Some of the most recently published and award-winning books I have illustrated, are called "In the Nick of Time", "This is the Earth", "Like Rain Water" written by D. Cummings, "Little Tuckie", written by A. Tucker and "Dear Danger", a novel written by T. Lowe. Hello, Thank you for taking the time to view my artwork! Originally from Pennsylvania, I'm an Artist/Illustrator based in sunny Santa Monica, CA. I hold a BFA in Drawing/Painting and and MFA in Studio Art. I’ve also worked in art education and children’s libraries. I have a great love for book art, lettering, and combining text with images. I use drawing, painting, printmaking and collage techniques, then edit and refine them digitally in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator. Line drawing, ink/watercolor painting, and hand-lettering/calligraphy are some of my specialties. I can draw with great technical accuracy and be highly detail-oriented. I also often work in a more loose, expressive manner, or combine the two techniques (my favorite approach). I create a lot of botanical and herbal illustration, flora and fauna, landscapes, houses and architectural images, vehicles, figures, portraits, etc. I’m also very knowledgeable about Astrology and Tarot, and have made a lot of work around metaphysical themes, including my own Tarot and oracle decks. Illustration for clothing is another area I have a lot of experience in and love to work on! I’ve worked for Obey Clothing, East/West Shop, Midnight Rider and Idylwild Woods clothing, amongst others. I have my own line of hand-painted clothing pieces. The arts, health/nutrition/herbalism, gardening/farming, environmental advocacy, education, psychology, mythology, folklore, and social justice are some of my strongest interests.
